Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood to Host ‘The 46th Annual CMA Awards’ Live From Nashville on ABC, November 1 – “I think I can speak for both of us when I say that we are extremely excited to be back for a fifth year hosting the CMA Awards,” said Underwood. “Each year we work harder so that we can help present the best show possible.” “We’re waiting on someone to do something really stupid between now and then,” said Paisley. ”I have faith. We are excited. I think you walk out there with people expecting a certain thing now and that’s a great place to be. I think they know who we are. They know what we do up there together and we’ve become something different together than we are separately I think, which is fun.” “I feel like each year our hosting gets better and better,” said Underwood. “We want to top that every year, so it’s a good challenge.” – Read more at TVByTheNumbers

it’s great review by a Queen fan. I loved how he wrote this:

” Lambert won any doubters over with a stand or fall version of ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ where his range silenced many.”

Public figure? She is a singer for goodness sakes! Maybe before she is tarred and feathered we should just see what happens. I don’t have any insiders info but I just can’t see anyone handing the show’s reins over to Mariah. The women from this show get do much mess thrown at them.

Or maybe he is out and the story is still rubbish!

Danny-wise, I think he just knows that some of his followers are getting a bit antsy, lol.

It seems that his process to get with another label has been going on a few months, so if he’s tweeting publicly I hope that means it is winding up. He’s been songwriting and recorded a few songs to show labels, but pretty quiet about it in public until yesterday.

I saw that episode and was impressed by Astro’s acting. He had a big role and was very natural.

I actually have no doubt that Mariah has some sort of approval power with respect to the other judges.  Any major star would request that, especially if they were hired and announced when the rest of the panel was not in place.  There is probably some language to the effect that approval cannot be unreasonably withheld…she wouldn’t be allowed to just blackball everyone, and can’t hold up the show…but if I was her agent I would have absolutely demanded some sort of approval power over the other judges hired…and there is no doubt that Fox/Idol would give it to her — or whoever the first big name they hired was…this is not a Mariah issue

as for whether Nick Jonas is on the verge of being hired?  who knows.

    Who???

I never heard of Allen Stone either so I looked him up on wiki the other day.  I listened to one of his performances and he sounds like Casey Abrams to me (his style and voice – only I think Casey is better). I listened to one of his songs about the country’s deficit and I didn’t like it at all.

I would rather see Casey Abrams than this Allen Stone guy – why don’t Haley and Casey tour together instead? I really think those two need to combine forces.

I agree. Although I do usually think these guys should try and tour with acts unrelated to Idol, I think Casey and Haley are not strong enough acts on their own, but would be terrific together. They play off each other beautifully. I think they could be much more successful this way.
