I don’t think it even went up for adds yet officially, so I have no doubt that these numbers are just the beginning. With the push Jive is giving it and the reaction it’s been getting, I have no doubt this song is going to be huge. Congrats Archie and his fans!
From where I’m sitting, it’s pretty obvious that Archie’s on his way to becoming the next teen sensation.

i’m sure archie’s spin numbers will increase when they officially release the single on 8/12, well i’m hoping for his and his fans sake. and i’m on the bandwagon that they shouldn’t make him a miley type of artist. they burn bright but not for long and in truth archie is better than that. let’s hope they are doing what’s best for him and his future.

And…how did I miss National Underwear Day?

DA has a 5-day audience impression of 5.465 with 139 POP spins, 47 HAC, and 7 AC. He seems to be doing pretty well with early radio play. Interestingly though, on Amazon, he has stayed between 100 and 200 consistently during this time, so it doesn’t seem to be reflecting in sales all that much.

Congrats to Bo and family. He seems like such a nice man.

I hope I’ll be able to see David and Andrew Cook do the NA together! How much fun is that! So exciting!

Finally, I like Paula. I don’t know if she was lip synching, but she put on a great show! I think it’s great how she tries to encourage all of the idols.

Archie’s Crush is getting local airplay now. I won’t be surprised if it’s this other David’s turn to top the local radio charts this time around.

Well, thank heaven for that. Why on earth did I just subject myself to Sanjaya. I think I was secretly hoping those songs were good – since I’m usually so hard on him – I wanted to have something nice to say. But, nope, those were pretty darn craptastic. I wish those videos would have panned through the audience so I could have seen the reaction of the 3 people sitting there.

I’m in agreement that Archie is a FAR better singer than Miley. But, she’s pretty freaking adorable, so I can understand why the kids like her.

I’m happy for Cookie getting to perform at a Chief’s game. I would venture to guess that is a pretty long-standing dream for him.

I’m hoping like crazy that the little spoiler about both albums coming out the same day is false. Way to promote the fanwars!
The guys are both friends who love each other, they both deserve success and are in completely different markets. It would be dreadful if the media treats their debut release as a rematch – not fair to either one of them.
IMHO, that tactic proves less albums will be sold, not more, because fans will feel like they need to choose between them instead of buying both.

Both Davids are great – let them move on from the competition and start their careers. Don’t drag them back into a forced, foolish “battle of the Davids”.
