In an exclusive interview with The Philippine Star’s Ricky Lo, which was published on Sunday, Cook said working with the half-Filipino Sanchez would definitely be a challenge for him. “I’d love to, absolutely! Phillip Phillips — CLUELESS on American History

TMZ dude ambushes Phil at the Washington DC airport. Phil didn’t know the answer to the question “What was the year that America declared independence.”

“I couldn’t tell you right now,” answered Phillip. He looked like he just wanted to get out of there.

Now, I wonder what ‘they’ will sing together, since this one is a done deal. Heh.

Well, when Cook was in Vietnam, he sang with his opener, Alexandra Burke, who had won X-Factor the same year he won Idol. They sang Rolling in the Deep. This Regina lady appears to have sung some Adele during her Idol competition, so maybe they will sing one of those songs.

Joshua Radin is indie. Trey Songz concert was a live show at the Hammersteim Ballroom. Jason Mraz is part of stage-it because he’s going to be doing a benefit concert in California along with Crosby Stills and Nash and Bonnie Raitt and stage-it is going to broadcast it. Alot of the artists they pictured are part of that benefit. Those are different than the living room show Kris is doing. I’m going to love watching it, don’t get me wrong, but I want more promo.

I think most people could answer the question, including Phillip. However, most people don’t have the question shouted at them by someone with a camera in their face while they are trying to make their way through an airport.  I’ll cut Phillip some slack. ;)

Meanwhile, I’m far too upset about Usher’s stepson than I should be (as I do not know anyone involved personally.)  Our neighbors’ son was killed in a jet ski accident, so it’s one of those “triggers” that brings back some bad emotions.  I just can’t even begin to imagine Usher and Tameka’s grief at this time. :( Thoughts and prayers for them.

I agree.  TMZ had no business asking him such a question, but anybody who has had American history in high school should know the answer to that without even having to think.  Somebody will think P2 is as scholastically ignorant as Bieber.  ;)

I found this video and did not see it posted yesterday. End of the Concert in Poland yesterday with Queen and Adam. Awesome crowd reaction. I agree these concerts cannot end with the only 6 schedule dates.

My heart goes out to Usher’s family I’m praying for a miracle.

Oh that’s awful, my condolences go out to his family. His family must be devastated, he was so young.

Not to worry, wordnerdarchie – I was gonna catch it on ESPN anyway – but patience is not my strong suit. Great pictures are popping up – Getty Images has David, Haley and Chord – and other peoples as well. *snerk*

Judging by the crowds, it looks like the MLB did very well by the three charities so far- Kudos to everyone involved, and it’s not over yet.

I can’t even imagine the concerts ending at six, not with the response that Queen has been getting at these concerts. The Kiev concert was free and it drew over 250,000 for Sir Elton and Queen, the Moscow and Poland attendance per city was over 20,000 paid music lovers, that along with the great reception they got at all three venues, may be a great motivator to do more concerts together. If the phones were ringing off the hook after the EMA, I can’t imagine the request they are getting now. Hopefully they will work something out so Adam can do his solo thing and still work in some Queen/Adam concerts. Maybe I’m being selfish and putting too much on Adam, but I have been a Queen fan since I was young and to see my favorite singer perform with my favorite rock band, is a dream come true. He fits so well with them, it’s like he’s been performing with them for years, because the chemistry is great between all of them.

I have no idea which week it’s going to air, but it looks like one of the
episodes from “Opening Act” will be featuring season 8 semifinalist Von
    Smith opening for Lady Gaga.

He appears about 10 seconds into the video at http://www.eonline.com/videos/opening-act-season-1/186431 , and Google says he opened for Gaga’s June 14 show.
