Robert Pattinson’s Sister Scores X Factor U.K. Wembley Arena Audition After Wowing Simon Cowell – The 28-year-old Rover star’s 31-year-old sister hopes The X Factor U.K. will propel her to superstardom. According to The Mirror, Lizzy passed the first round of closed-doors auditions, impressing judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Mel B. She will sing at the Wembley Arena auditions this weekend. “She blew them away with her husky, soulful vocals,” a source said of Lizzy, who once made music for Twilight. “She’s different to usual X Factor contestants—she really stands out. Carrie Underwood, Merle Haggard + More to Receive 2014 ACM Honors – The 2014 ACM Awards may have passed, but the presenting of awards isn’t over. Carrie Underwood, Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard are just a few artists that are set to receive ACM Honors nods off camera. The ACM Honors are a set of acknowledgements that continue after the annual awards show rolls up its red carpet. This year’s honorees will receive their awards Sept. 9 at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium. Underwood is set to receive the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award, which will recognize the successes she’s had within the country genre. Haggard has earned the Crystal Milestone Award, which is given to commemorate an important achievement — for him, being that this year is his 50th year in country music. – Read more at Taste of Country

Simon Cowell Named MIPCOM’s Personality of the Year – PARIS – Simon Cowell will take center stage at October’s MIPCOM. He won’t face a panel of judges, but the host and producer will receive the television industry confab’s Personality of the Year award. Cowell will give a keynote at the Palais des Festivals on Oct. 13, and will receive the award in a special ceremony the next evening at the Carlton Hotel. ‘Glee’s’ Harry Shum Jr. Joins ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ Sequel – Glee star Harry Shum Jr. has been cast as one of the leads in the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel being directed by Woo-ping Yuen. The Weinstein Co. is backing the martial arts drama, which began production this week and will shoot in New Zealand and China. Written by John Fusco (The Forbidden Kingdom), the movie is set 20 years after the events of Crouching Tiger and revolves around four heroes of the martial arts world — Silent Wolf, Yu Shu-lien, Tie-Fang and Snow Vase — who must use their courage and skills to keep the legendary sword Green Destiny from the hands of the villainous Hades Dai. Donnie Yen already is cast as Silent Wolf, and Michelle Yeoh is on board as Yu Shu-lien. Shum will play Tie-Fang. – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

News recently caught up with the America’s Got Talent judge and the 60-year-old radio host was quick to put the dating show and its most recent star Andi Dorfman on blast. “F–k the Bachelor,” Stern told us exclusively. “The Bachelor is silly. Those people, those guys, they don’t work.” “You know when I was their age I was in the trenches working in broadcasting,” he continued. “What kind of gentleman, if he’s worth anything, doesn’t devote himself to his career?
