     You don’t even know if this story is true. This Larry guy could be a lying sack of crap. We don’t know why Scotty’s mom cancelled the interview IF she did at all.

    Some people cry ‘homophobia!’ all the time over everything just like there are those who cry ‘racism!’ all the time over everything.

    I don’t believe this story for one minute as I’ve never heard Scotty say one hateful thing about gays or anyone else.

    How does Larry owe Scotty anything, it was Scotty and his mommy who ran like scared rabbits for the door? If practically every other Idol he’s interviewed survived to live another day with their reputation in tact, I think Scotty would have been okay also. But who knows, it’s take courage and maturity to stick around and face the unknown.

    ETA: then again, I think Chris was sure of who he is, but just like you, I have the impression that the media did push him out of the closet (Access Hollywood and the Advocate).

    I think that it’s true that the interview was cancelled at the last minute. What I think is not clear at this point, is exactly why it was cancelled.

    that is not what happened, i remember that night, scotty didnt do it because he was busy doing a concert, i dont think scotty is like that

     i think larry beck said that but i remember that night, and the reason scotty wasnt there was because he was playing a concert, i f he is that homophobic, he wont have been on ellen, that is crap

    He couldn’t have been too busy if he made it all the way to the studio to do the interview.

    I think you need to read further, they were there in studio, then left.  That’s not normal, even if he had a concert that night.  They usually have plenty of time set aside for interviews during the day, concert at night.

    I support their choice, we all have options, in life, but then everyone gets to take a pinata stick at your decision.

    I think when any interaction had several ppl involved and you want to know what happened you won´t get the truth by only using one person´s perspective and interpretation .And this one part´s storytelling certainly can´t justify judgment on the other ppl. involved.

    Scotty is in the beginning stages of his career and as an american idol winner, it’s hard to get away from that stigma. As for dealing with the bullshit, it doesn’t go away and a lot of biggers stars than him, still deal with it.

    As for what Larry Flick said, people can believe it or not for whatever reasons and I doubt your going to get any explanation out of Scotty or his mom.

    Yeah, I don’t know why there’d be any reason to suppose that Larry Flick would even ask Scotty about gay issues.  Unless that’s something that comes up with every person Flick interviews?

    On a lighter note, here is the first video of Kris at Petapalooza yesterday. Very good quality video. I’m looking forward to more of this person’s vids surfacing. Nice close up of Kris for the entire video. I loved hearing the audience singing the whoa ohs before Kris even asked them to. I have to say too, on a shallow note, that Kris was looking very nice!

    When the other side don’t have the courage to tell what happened, then you go with what you do know. Larry has never had the reputation as a liar and what would be his motive to lie. He’s interviewed several Idols and none of them have complained about their treatment or Larry’s disposition or interview skills.
