Oh, I’m glad Cook is acknowleding his musical past. With all the talent shows and such, he has been basically grooming himself to win American Idol. I was so sick of the show making it sound like he was just a barrrrrtender, with a hidden talent. Nice story, but not so true.

Regarding Jessica Simpson… I heard that Tony Romo made a comment to her that she would struggle making it into Country Music b/c she is no Carrie Underwood.. if there is any truth to that, then I’d be insecure of Carrie as well.

Clay Aiken Tried to Keep Baby News, Jaymes Foster Relationship Quiet

The story from Star Magazine claims that the source says… they didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t have sex.

I’m not sure how they think they know that considering the involved parties have not said anything about it. They could have been practicing like rabbits for all we know.

Well if the tabloids are considered news around here, we might as well post this one too. I mean the tabloids have alleged everything else including child abuse, plastic surgery, sex change operations, AIDS, rentboys, and pedophilia, we might as well throw drugs and Beverly Hills style gay orgies into the mix. Once that poor baby is born it will be labeled a freak alien monster of indeterminate sexuality that is destined to be a serial killer. You can report that too.

Jessica Simpson is jealous of Carrie Underwood

…as she very well should be. Oh? We’re talking about because of Tony Romo? Oh. Okay.

She doesn’t even deserve to be in the same room with Carrie, as far as actual singing talent is concerned.

Perhaps I am in the minority, but I always thought Jessica Simpson could sing. Now is she a dimwitted flesh-peddalng twit who sings bad songs? Yes. But she can sing. LOL.

I’m sure you’re not in the minority, Tina. I just happened to enjoy her “is it chicken or fish?” comment more than her actual singing attempts.

Why do these reports keep saying Taylor won season 6? He won season 5. Success is measured in many different ways. To some, it means you’re only a success if you move multiple thousands of CD units. To others, it means achieving your life goals, doing what makes you happy. I don’t think anyone has ever truly been able to definitely define the word success. Of course, AI tells everyone how it is to be measured, or your head gets chopped off in the opening of the show. Did I see Daughtry’s mug there instead of Taylor?

You know when tabloids like TMZ become the bastion of truth, then I know the world is in trouble. It’s amazing how a story from a tabloid (Clay having a baby) was picked up by thousands of media outlets as the God honest truth, doesn’t say much for journalism today. This story has not been confirmed or denied by Clay or his people. Wouldn’t it be sensible to wait until he or they say something? Just asking.

I don’t know if it’s true or not, but why have this story just smelling up the air when you can say yeah, or nay? That is what is fishy about this story about Clay and the baby, not that it is being reported, this is tabloid journalism American style. As such, Clay could just simply say, it’s bullshit and be done with it. That is the part of the story that makes me feel that not only is it true, but that Clay is being duplicitious in his silence. JMHO!

ETA: Most intelligent folk can parse the chaff from the wheat, the meat from the bone, etc. You know what is feasible and what is just filler. That tabloid story has a bit of both. There is some truth to it. Period.

Besides them having a winning record that one season? The craziest thing for me was getting to throw the first pitch. I was joking around all day saying, “I’m gonna shake ‘em up and throw a curve ball.” Then I get in the dugout and a couple of the players are like, “Aw man, you got to short-hop him.” Brett Tomko was the guy who was catching. We’re getting ready to go out on to the field and Tomko tells me, “Hey, just so you know, there was a celebrity that came through and he threw out the first pitch and he short-hopped it and they booed him off the field.” And so then I started freaking out, I don’t want to get booed of the field! So I just threw a four-seam fastball and barely made it there. I almost threw it in the dirt and then Brett Tomko comes up to me and goes, “Great slider.” it wasn’t a slider, but I didn’t have the heart to tell him.

American Idol David Cook Rejects Sex Symbol Status

He may be the most loved winners of American idol since Carrie Underwood. National Anthem coming up! I feel as if it’s an Idol night and I’m nervous for him. But I totally expect him to slam dunk. God, so many celebrities there. Wow, that was rough. Did anyone else think he sounded awful singing the NA? It did get better towards the end, though.

I thought he was awful at the very start, but then I thought he actually sang the most crucial parts really well. I’ll bet it sounded better in the arena than on tv. I think he had his eyes on a flag, hence the deer in headlights expression. Also maybe he was terrified of forgetting the words. Whew, glad that’s over.

Did Mariah Carey just release a new version of, “Always Be My Baby?”

Unless my ears have completely deceived me, I just heard Mariah Carey sing David Cook’s cover version of her song, “Always Be My Baby” on the radio.

It was not Mariah’s 1996 version with all the Do do doop do doop da dum’s.
It had David Cook’s stamp all over it. Softer, soothing version without the high notes, riffs and squeals. Also missing was Mariah’s “You and I” repeats at the end. I heard she asked David Cook to sing his version, but I was unaware that she may have made a recent recording with his arrangement.

I am still waiting to hear David Cook’s, “The Time of My Life” on the radio, but perked up when this version came on the kez99.9 Phoenix airways.

I just got confirmation that they put up a poster for auction with both the Davids’ signatures as well. It’s for real. I personally know the person who got it signed, and she’s a good person and a good friend. It’s all about the charity for her.

Same as the Bo Bice stuff. All of the proceeds go to American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. No matter what you may think of Worst, this is certainly a good cause.

But remember People got their “tip” from TMZ. Foster’s rep later denied it. This story has a lot of holes. But I think there is some truth to this because it looks like that rep may have spoken out of turn. I personally think Clay may be the father but “how” is the question.

From what I have come to know about Clay as being his fan for 5 years is that he has always spoken of his father as “a sperm donor” since he was never there for him. He abused his mother, etc. etc. So I don’t think that he would want a child without some form of romantic attachment to the mother. IMO he probably is involved with Jaymes Foster but she is of a certain age where AI or invitro is necessary. Bottom line, I think they were probably going to announce this after the birth and someone spilled the beans to TMZ. I am sure some money changed hands.

DON’T FORGET PEOPLE’S STORY ABOUT ANGELINA AND HER FALSE BIRTH.

Oh come on now, if Clay had sex with Jaymes there would be no story. It would be Clay and Jaymes happily announce……. I don’t get the big deal about the whole story. True or not, step up and say so. It’s the silence that seems to equal shame somehow. If he wants a child, no matter how it was conceived it should be a blessed event, not an opportunity to go out of ones way to smash a fotographer on the one hand, yet not comment on the other. He is the one making this story fishy, not the press.

Frankly I am more outraged at other ways the press frames issues and events. This is just another wacky celebrity story, like all the others, certainly no reason to get outraged.

Because, the stories are often true? People did their own reporting after they picked the tip up from TMZ. Not only did Foster’s rep confirm the story, but now People is quoting friends of Jaymes and Clay. Would these people come out and comment on the situation if it wasn’t true? And if People made the quotes up or got them wrong, wouldn’t these friends quickly set the record straight?

And of course, the big question, if this is all a pack lies, wouldn’t Clay and Jaymes set the record straight? I think they would.

I realize, that for some people, only the words coming out of Clay’s mouth will do. But ya know, if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck. It’s pretty much a duck.

Exactly, MJ. If Clay and Jaymes would have just set the record straight last week, all of this hand ringing would have been over and done with. The story is growing into this big damn spoof because of their silence. I don’t blame the media on this one. We are not talking about anonymous insiders but people with real names and relationships to the subject commenting on this. I mean if David Foster is saying this is true, it’s his sister, isn’t it? What would be his motive to lie? I guess he’s a hater too?

David Foster did not say it was true, neither did any of Clay’s friends. They cite anonymous sources and people like David Foster’s ex wife who he divorced 20 years ago, and she guaranteed that it wasn’t Clay’s baby. David’s rep took his statement back saying that he was misquoted and asked People to remove him from their site but they refused.

(June 9) – In early April, an employee from the UCLA Medical Center was indicted after selling several celebrities’ medical records, including Farrah Fawcett’s, to the National Enquirer. But the leaking of information to tabloids may have started long before.

What was done to Clay and Jaymes is one of the most recent offences. It may be true that they are having a baby but any embellishments like whether they ever had sex or what their true relationship is was added to spice up an otherwise normal event to sensationalize it.

They had the right to announce their news themselves when the time was right. Having a baby late in life is risky and the added stress on the mother has understandably made Clay very angry. It is the parent’s right to announce the sex of the child. They have a right to handle their private lives in private and nobody should take away their joy. They may have wanted to keep it quiet until the baby was safely born. Now it is in jeopardy and the paparazzi is hounding them. The tabloid swarm is wrong no matter who it happens to.

I am shocked and appalled at the people who blame the victims for what was done to them.

gelfling, true, everyone has the right to announce their baby news themselves — except when it comes to Hollywood. It’s a business deal.

Did Angelina, with a belly the size of a small country, announce it? Not until she absolutely had to. And then there was Jack Black, twin feet in his mouth.

Celebrities think they have the right to privacy but they don’t, and they never have. They get big bucks from publicity – isn’t Angelina getting a gazollion dollars for photo’s of her child(ren)? Buckets full of gazillions of dollars and and she’ll take it as she has in the past as did every other new parent in Hollywood who got an offer. That’s why they can’t have it both ways.

Clay is no different. He’s in the spotlight and I’m sure he anticipated this happening and I’m sure he realized there would be speculation about how the child was created.

Guaranteed, they didn’t have sex. Clay is on the record saying he just isn’t interested. There’s a slight possiblity that he was just putting out a nightmare of a fire and it’s not entirely true but still — he said it.

The more we argue over this the more $ Clay and his whateversheis gets. And Clay knows that.

The interview where he said he wasn’t going to be dating and just wasn’t interested in pursuing anyone just happened to be in mid January this year when he already knew that he had a baby on the way but wasn’t going to announce it or explain it.

Looking back and knowing that she was already several months pregnant gives new insight into why he would opt of the dating pool.

Just for the record, gelfling, if she’s due in August, she would have just barely been pregnant in January and considering her age, may not have even known it. He would have known they were attempting to get pregnant, but chances are it most likely hadn’t been confirmed successful in mid-January.

Well, whatever the story I wish them all the luck in the world. They are going to need it when the media feeding frenzy continues after the birth. Hopefully, Jaymes will have a safe delivery. I am sure that the baby will be loved by two caring people who decided to have a baby together, however, the method.
