Count ‘American Idol’ Team NOLA’s Quentin Alexander and Joey Cook as fans of ‘Harsh Harry’ Connick Jr.’s critiques – “I definitely feel that with Harry, it’s sometimes weird how accurate he is,” Alexander said. “But that’s just him. He’s super-critical of everything in a performance. So when you see Keith and J-Lo get super-excited, I think it’s because they’re looking at the performance from a different perspective. They’re looking at the performance as performers and not just vocalists, where Harry is doing it like a vocal coach. It’s super-technical, which is why I take everything he says with a grain of salt. I’m not so technically trained that I understand what he’s saying, but I do appreciate it.” Cook agreed. “With Keith and Jennifer, it’s kind of like pats on the back, in a weird way,” she said. “They make you feel good about what you’ve done, and then Harry is kind of the ‘but’ at the end of the sentence. ‘This was really great.’ ‘This was really good.’ ‘I love what you did here, but it could be better.’ – Read more at NOLA
