Kelly Clarkson Admits To ‘Behind The Scenes’ Drama After Recording Same Song As Tokio Hotel – “I emailed him [John Legend] and I was like ‘Oh my God, I didn’t know, just so you know’ and he was like ‘who cares, a lot of people record songs and that is how music is all the time,’” she said. “I’m not a fan of surprises, but at the same time it’s a great song and David [Jost], who I had thought written the song at the time by himself… I got the song on the Maroon 5 tour (which took place in 2013) and cut my vocal and we didn’t really find out until after it was out.” But now that it is out, Kelly is actually pretty grateful she didn’t contribute to the writing of the song. “There’s a lot going on behind the scenes of who says who wrote it,” she explained. “I’m just really glad I’m not a writer because that means no lawsuit for me, I’m just singing it.” – Read more at MTV
