Grammi, maybe I need to see that article because from my recollection it said that à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“IFà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ I had said Clay won the vote every weekà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦not that he did. That would have hampered voting, that however, is not the only unsubstantiated rumour. As I didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t name any names. That wasnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t so nice of you to do it either.

Don't know how you could have missed the article. The link is right there in my post.

I know right! But I think I prefer the shorter dreads he had back then than the long ones now.

And Elliot's Bad Day was perfect. I cried watching it then, and I still get teary every time I watch it on youtube.

'Idol's' blow should knock some sense

..."American Idol," as they say, ain't beanbag. Eventually all but one must go. But last night we saw bitter shock as the room realized, with the beheading of Alaina, that on any night, anyone could go. Last week's dismissals were uniformly warranted and not unexpected, their pain thus muted (to all but Ramiele Malubay). But to lose two such promising, seemingly sure contenders at once, and so early, seems almost too cruel. (On the guys' side, however, the wisdom of the American electorate showed with a flawless pair of picks for elimination: Jason Yeager and Robbie Carrico.)

Choking back the shock and the tears for a moment, however, this week's eliminations demonstrate a few potent facts...

David A. has a great voice and seems like a sweet kid, but WTF is Idol going to do with him if he wins? Haven't they learned their lesson that talented but bland singers without a discernable genre do NOT sell well? Jordin was supposed to become this big star thanks to the Disney demographic, and look what happened...and as a dude, David is going to be even HARDER to market, especially as a solo artist. Geez.

Jason Castro is such an appealing and lovable contestant! I hope he goes right to TOP 5.

I watched the Cheyenne videos featuring Jason (thanks, primeminister). He's adorable...very awkward, but very cute. And he has a nice body, too. Heh. Luke who? LOL

Thanks, Kirsten, for the Elliott boot video, and MrsTrep for the Hollywood video. Good (and sad) times. ;)

Speaking of Elliott, I finally heard the full version of his and Kat's Real Love track from Randy's album. I'm not completely sold on it yet, but I'm sure I will get there soon enough. ;)

"So which one of the three is it, or are they just gonna rotate between them?"

My take on this is that they used à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Hollywoodà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s Not Americaà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ for the Hollywood auditions, "Best Days" for the Top 24 rounds and Ruben's song for the Top 12 rounds.

I am really enjoying this season so far, especially the guys. There is good diversity of genres represented this season (pop, R&B/Soul, rock, folk). My favorite so far is David H, hope he makes it past the rumors and delivers it this week and makes Top 12.

I'm sorry, I posted too quickly. Undecided did make it clear that this was NOT a rumor regarding Clay's popularity. Thank you for doing so!

Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s also expected to be included on one of the compilation albums annually released by à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“American Idol,à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ according to Iain Pirie, head of 19 Entertainment U.S.

...compilation albums annually released by à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“American Idol,à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ EXCEPT last year. Unless, there was a CD made for Season 6 and I didn't hear about it?

Clay won the vote every weekà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦.

MJ had the article right here when Nigel revealed that Clay was the top vote getter each and every week. This is not made up stuff and actually did refuel the debate about 18 months ago. It was not revealed because that would discourage others from voting for their favorite contestant. (MJ, do I have the right details?)

Still, I hope Ruben does a terrific job with the song. Also, looking forward to seeing Blake.

What happened to Ferra's "Hollywood's Not America" as the farewell song which was confirmed a few weeks ago? That's what it was supposed to be, but they've been using Best Days by Graham Colton for the past two weeks, and now Rubens' song is supposedly gonna be the farewell song. So which one of the three is it, or are they just gonna rotate between them?

From TMZ.com, and I believe this:

At least one of the female contestants has taken cheap, Imus shots at Syesha Mercado, calling her hair "nappy," among other insults -- behind her back. Nice.

And the guys were ganging up against 17-year-old David Archuleta, making snarky remarks, again, behind his back. But who can blame them? Our sources say record execs at 19 Entertainment have already been in touch with top record publishers in Hollywood, and the word has already been sent out to songwriters to write this kid some tunes

Didn't I call this too? Didn't I write that this group did not seem friendly, like S6?
