‘American Idol’ favorite overcomes Tourette’s, Asperger’s

I believe it was December of ’98 when my dad passed away of an overdose. A few weeks later, around my 10th birthday, I was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome and Asperger’s syndrome. It was a really rough time, especially at that age, being told I have a neurological “disease,” when I already felt so different. At that point I was being bullied for being different, having big ears, and now for having no dad AND for making weird faces and noises I couldn’t control. I was a walking target. – Read more at CNN

Blake Lewis Discusses Third Album and LGBT Support – Coming in second in any competition is never the ideal outcome, but placing second on a reality singing competition show as big as American Idol is a completely different story and not something to be ashamed of. Blake Lewis, 31, proved he was a force to be reckoned with on the show with his unique arrangements of popular songs and beatboxing skills after rushing to audition sign-ups only a few hours before the cutoff. After receiving a standing ovation from Paula Abdul during the audition process, a comment from Simon Cowell saying he was “over the top” and delivering a memorable performance of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name”, which has been considered one of the show’s best moments, Lewis was labeled a front runner for the title and eventually became the last male contestant standing in the competition. – Read more at Album Confessions

VIDEO: Chris Colfer and his love of blackmail – For 2013, what do you see coming up for yourself and what are you obsessed with, pop culture-wise? Well, I’ve got a lot of stuff planned on the books. I think I’ll be doing my second film that I wrote, mostly likely be filming that in the summer. And then I have my third novel, the sequel to my first novel, is coming out at end of summer, early fall. And then “Glee.” And as far as pop culture, what am I obsessed with? I’m really bad at being obsessed with pop culture. I know I reference it quite a bit in things that I do and write, but I don’t know. I really love the new creatures they find in the ocean. That’s not really pop culture, that’s just being a nerd.

Diet changes will absolutely not help everyone with migraines.

It may help some, but there isn’t a one-size fits all solution for migraine headaches. There are multiple types of migraines and there are multiple causes and cures. If changing your food choices helped you or someone you know, that’s great, but the same thing can’t be said for the millions of people who suffer with these types of severe headaches at one time or another in their lives.

I’m hoping someday soon Scotty would become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Also I can’t wait for Emblem3 first CD cause I’m buying for sure.

The picture of Scotty on the cover is with a dj at a radio show last month–it seems to be the guy’s schtick, sort of weird, but it’s got Scotty there front and center with a dj.  Also, a big article on the CRS Opry collaboration.

And, for Casey James fans, he’s got a big page ad for Cryin’ on a Suitcase–it’s still going!

Since James just recently said they already have 25 songs recorded, maybe the label is pushing for an earlier release to time with a possible appearance on Idol. If I was Wind-Up, seeing his huge sales bump last time, I’d push for that date as well.

Thank you for filling me in… the mall opens at around 10 am (at least the middle part that has access to the 3rd floor).. the performance ison a sunday at 8 pm…. Ideally I should queue at 10 am hehehe. But not sure whether I am able to do that.Sunday the mall is crowded and my heart feels like an an 18 years old but my bones, muscles and joints are not   :-( …

So here are 2 categories only… all festival…standing… from the middle to the back(festival B) , and from the middle to the front (festival A). I have “A” so worse comes to worse, I will stand in the middle. Of course I am able to be laidback about this, because I already saw Adam performing 2 years ago in Spore and at that time I was up front, not centre though, more to the side, but still…because I had access to the fanzone near the stage thanks to lurkers on this blog who queued very early and got bracelets for the fanzone.

The ticket says “no camera’s or recorders”… oh well..
