Rep: Megan Fox Will Not Judge ‘X-Factor’

There’s a rumor going around that actress Megan Fox will be sharing the judging panel with “Idol’s” Simon Cowell on the “X-Factor,” but Megan’s rep confirms to “Extra” that it’s false.

Cowell will be leaving “Idol” at the end of the current season in order to bring his successful UK show the “X-Factor” to the US.

But the day after a family Christmas dinner, her mother, Viola Brown Martin, failed to show up at her intended destination, the house of Angela’s older sister. After the family filed a missing person’s report, the Glenwood, Ill., police found Viola’s car on New Year’s Eve in an unfamiliar neighborhood.

As of Jan. 23, Viola is still missing. “We haven’t heard anything yet,” Martin tells PEOPLE. “The detectives have been calling my sisters and myself, and just keeping us informed. They say they are still just looking and asking us more questions, if we know anything but her friends are calling us, so it’s hard.”

Viola’s tan-colored 1999 Chrysler Cirrus was found in the south Chicago suburbs of Riverdale and Dixmoor, not close to her daughter Latrina’s home. “We haven’t stopped looking,” Martin says. “We’ve been out in the cold, and before I left to go to Hollywood, we were looking. I think what hurts us the most was they found her car but they didn’t find her. It was abandoned in a forest preserve in the dark. We just want to know, what were you doing over there?”

A rumor that St. Petersburg native Michael Lynche was disqualified from American Idol richochets across the media universe

The Web site Reality Blurred noted Friday that Lynche’s father, Marque Lynche Sr., confirmed his son’s place in the top 24 in a story by me that was published in the St. Petersburg Times, which might violate the show’s confidentiality rules.

But neither blog cites concrete evidence connecting the newspaper story to any possible dismissal of Lynche. The Fox network has continually refused to comment on the status of contestants before it is revealed on the show and Marque Lynche Sr. has now disconnected his home phone in Sarasota, declining to comment.

Paula Abdul — ‘Dancing’ Is Lucrative

ABC has offered Abdul a $1,000,000 development deal, with one catch — she has to appear on “DWTS,” sources tell TMZ.

ABC has been going after Paula for a few years now, trying to get her on “DWTS.”

According to the proposed deal, ABC would allow Paula to do “The X Factor” with Simon Cowell. We’re told Simon and Paula met a week ago to discuss the show, and it looks like it will happe

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher make first public appearance

Country star Carrie Underwood and fiancé Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators made their first official public appearance at the annual Sens’ Soiree fundraiser at the Hilton Lac Leamy in Gatineau Monday night.

Underwood smiled and laughed with her finace by her side, her hair pulled back in an elegant ponytail.

People Magazine is reportedly paying $50,000 for the first photo of the superstar couple. US Magazine also has a photographer on hand.

Fisher told CTV Ottawa the couple is happy to be at the fundraiser together. They will not give any other interviews.

Martha Stewart Vying for ‘Idol’ Judge

Not only does Martha Stewart see a future in pole dancing, but the domestic doyenne, 68, would like to place her name in the running for the American Idol judge seat about to be vacated by Simon Cowell.

“I’d be the best American Idol judge because I’m fair,” she tells me during the American Antiques Show benefiting the American Folk Art Museum held this week in NYC.

Unlike other big names such as Simon, Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks and Conan O’Brien, however, Martha won’t be leaving her post as host of The Martha Stewart Show.

Joe Jonas Learns to Be Ruthless on American Idol

Joe Jonas says he had a great time as a guest judge on American Idol — once he learned to be candid with the contestants about their performances.

“[I was] a little nervous at the start because I was kind of afraid I was going to hurt people’s feelings,” the 20-year-old Jonas Brother told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning. “You have to really be honest. At first, you feel bad, because you see these people come through, and they just want it really bad. The first few, I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’re great.’ Towards like five [people] in, you have to be like, ‘I’m sorry, no. This isn’t for you.’”

Adam Lambert is a year into the wild ride that began when he emerged out of the pack on American Idol last January.

The guy who parlayed a runner-up finish into an album deal and a reputation for creating controversy was in Toronto on Monday to promote his album, For Your Entertainment.

Winnie angry about film biopic

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has threatened legal action against film producer Darrell Roodt over his planned biopic about her life, according to a newspaper report.

In a letter from her attorneys, Madikizela-Mandela says she is “extremely concerned” to hear about the planned fiilm dealing with her life “in circumstances in which she has never been approached for consent at all,” reports The Star.

The film, titled Winnie, hit the headlines last year when it was revealed that American Jennifer Hudson would play the role of Winnie.

Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke and her boyfriend, model Maxwell Zagorski, have split, Burke’s rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

A source close to the couple says Burke, 25, and Zagorski, 22, struggled with living on opposite coasts.

“The distance was so hard on the relationship. She lives in L.A. and he lives in New York,” the source says. “After a while it was just really hard for them to get together.”

Burke and Zagorski, who has appeared in ad campaigns for Levi’s and Abercrombie & Fitch, were introduced by former DWTS contestant Lance Bass last winter.

    Just noticed that statement from MSNBC. Did Michael Slezak really say that Adam Lambert sold nearly 300K the first week?

    The first Idol Give Back during S6 raised $76 million according to PR Newswire. And according to the Los Angeles Times, a total of $140 has been raised for the first two Idol Gives Back combined. So that means on S7 they raised $64 million.

    Season 7: 17.6 million viewers

    Alot of the money raised on Idol Give Back was Corporate donations. Last year, in the heart of the recession companies weren’t able to donate and this is why there was no Idol Gives Back.

    I think the figures for Hope for Haiti are just from views (not sure though).

    Looking good for WWFM on Pop, but HAC negative spins make me sad (even if it is only one less spin – lol). Still, I guess the fact that it jumped up in rank means songs around it started losing even more.

    I called LLWD a potential hit right off the bat (just because of that chorus) – and hopefully WWFM will follow in those footsteps. Very happy to see that WWFM is so high on itunes, even after the Oprah effect has worn off :-)

    And hooray for Allison – I hope things start getting better for her and the song.

    I think that they waited for Allison too, since they might have figured Kris and Allison and Adam shared some of the same fans. LLWD is pretty much an established rising hit, so it is time to bring on FIBOU.

    Today during a radio interview Danny said that he will be touring in April. He didn’t say who he would be touring with, but I think the DJs at the radio station knew because they seemed really excited about it. I definitely am interested in seeing who Danny will be touring with.

    What in the world does ABC imagine they can “develop” Paula to do?

    And she would have to be on Dancing with the Stars to qualify for this very weird deal? I can’t imagine her as a judge, since on that show they have actual judges who actually know about ballroom dancing. They don’t really need her schtick in that capacity. And I can’t imagine her being a contestant. Given her back problems and such, I’d think she’d be an invalid about three weeks into the season.

    And I still can’t see what brilliant show ideas she has to “develop.” … On the other hand, none of the networks seem to have many good show ideas, period, these days, so I suppose Paula may be as likely as anybody to come up with something.

    And good for LLWD — I always thought that song had “hit” written on it, especially on HAC. …. Great to hear that there are some Allison spins these days, too. About time.

    I don’t think that we can put too much stock in this update. Only a handful of artists updated at all and some big ones (Gaga, kesha, Carrie, Alicia) didn’t update at all — just weird. So, who knows where Adam will end up. Hopefully someplace good! Certainly higher than last week.

    IIRC that is typical – each update includes different batches of data sources – so some batches have some people updating a lot, and some not so much.

    Kesha, for instance, saw a huge gain all of a sudden when the itunes batch came in. Someone like SuBo, otoh, would see a huge boost from the box stores.

    And of course, it doesn’t mean that, with 54% in, we can estimate that Adam will be double what he is now – he could only increase a little with future updates. 54% in means the % of sources in, not the % of total sales in.

    well there ya go, it just updated again and the keshas, gagas and alicias of the world got big updates– and so did adam…56.9%, adam is at #20 with 20,860….that is a nice bump up from last week! lets see if it goes any higher! But WOW, hope for haiti is at 173,000…and that is all digital! that is terrific!!!!!

    I just saw the radio update for LLWD and what a SMASH day it had. It’s hit #20 with a bang and def has the potential to move much higher on the Top 40 chart. This song is performing like a champ.

    I think Top 15 for LLWD looks pretty good right now, but I’ll continue to keep my fingers crossed. No question, Kris has had several very strong Pop updates in a row, with today an incredible one. Having some of those Clear Channel stations in big markets spinning LLWD will really help sustain the momentum.

    So how many HACs did Kris get this week?

    Two this week; of the 102 stations on the HAC panel, LLWD has been added on 92. Of the 10 left, only 6 did not spin the song at all last week. The other four ranged from one spin to seven.

Clear Channel stations have been slow to come around on LLWD. He also got 4 adds from Top 40 stations in the Top 20 markets in the country, which should help him with audience impression.

    Likewise, Clear Channel has jumped on the WWFM train. Adam got adds from 8 Clear Channel owned stations — only 2 of them automatic adds. He didn’t pick up the big markets Kris did though, just one Top 20 station (Phoenix). Hopefully those will come in the next couple of weeks. Canada loves them some Adam — he got 6 Canadian adds!

    I was holding my breath the whole time. Reading too many of all the cheerleading accidents.

    Just read about that Kris won’t be able to go to Haiti this week.
    Somehow I felt a little bit relief. Not only it will be safer to go later on, but knowing that Kris has to go to Phillipines for the concert on the 5th, Singapore, and then back for NY concert, Florida gig. It is just too tiring.

    Maybe now he can go to the grammy, at least go to the party afterwards to mingle with the industry people.

    I don’t think so. Do you think he was going without his management knowing or agreeing to it? I suspect IGB is involved and they need more time than Kris has. Remember, he has concerts next week and needs to rehearse with the band. They probably have to be the Philippines about 3 or 4 days prior to the concerts for some press time. That leaves him with just a couple of days which may not be enough for whatever he was going there for.
    It makes a lot of sense for them to postpone it.

    As I stated in related thread (and was ‘corrected’ by many other posters) that Kris was being irresponsible to consider going to Haiti during this phase of rescue/recovery. Thank gods someone more sane stopped him.

    BeckyMD, I don’t agree with you. Being part of an organized group, it was generous of him to volunteer. Would you consider that all the volunteers (and there are MANY) are all irresponsible people? What would be irresponsible for me is that everybody would stay safe at home and doing nothing to help those poor and afflicted people

    How does being given and opportunity to help out a country in need and wanting to do it make you insane? Just curious.. BTW: I don’t think people corrected you (how can anyone correct your opinion), they just didn’t agree with you.

    I am sure that it takes a lot of behind the scenes work to make volunteering over in Haiti happen. It is easy to see that there are any number of things that might have occurred that prevented him from being able to go at the moment. I admire Kris for wanting to help out in a more hands on way. Of course that doesn’t take away from anything anyone else is doing.

    Yeah I think it’s great he wants to go over there and help and don’t see nothing wrong with it. But am also glad that he isn’t going right now when there still having not very stable over there. I wonder thou when his Tour well start if his going over there in March. I wish well find out something soon so I can let my hubby know and also start saving money.

    Well I for one am glad for the Haiti delay.

    I still think all of this has to do with 19E and IGB. Certainly if this is the case, there is no reason why they have to go THIS WEEK to film anything. If they are sending money (or goods), then send money, but wait to film. I think I said just a few days ago that they should wait a month until things settle down before filming… assuming IGB is behind it all.

    It is sad Kris will not get to go to Haiti as planned and he missed out on helping at the telethon last Friday.

    Shame that Kris won’t be able to go to Haiti to help this week. I’m sure he’s disappointed. It’s not worth speculating why the trip was cancelled. It would be nice if we got a press release or an actual interview with him about it. Maybe Adam can ask him about it on the red carpet for the Grammys.

    Since it’s being postponed till March, I suspect that AI will use footage for AIGB.
