Taylor Hicks to perform National Anthem at NFR – LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Bally’s Las Vegas headliner and American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is warming up his pipes for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Hicks will sing the National Anthem during the event on Thursday, Dec. 6. Hicks, who won Season 5 of American Idol, recently signed a year-long extension to perform at Bally’s through 2013. I will come back again and do a plugged show. “When I was in school I always tried to create something that’s not predictable.” It’s her time at Coastal Carolina that has cemented a strong bond between the budding star and Conway.
