Nicki Minaj Demands Hot 97 Not Play Her Music Anymore – “I said, ‘Rosenberg ruined Nicki Minaj’s career’ – evidence suggests based on this Re-Up release, the things [Rosenberg] said about her being pop and selling out and making that pop music came back to haunt her,” he said. “Now, she puts six rap records on this album and it didn’t sell…I get the phone call, the international number pops up, I answer the call, it’s my friend Nicki Minaj, who then starts to proclaim how I’m fake. She used every woman’s stab she could – ‘I thought you were a man, you’re a cornball, I thought we were friends, you’re fake, everyone told me you were fake’…I said, ‘Nicki, I’m helping you. I’m keeping you in the Hip Hop conversation. This Hip Hop thing’s a competition; you’re either ringing, or you’re not, and just like I said yesterday, i love you, boo and I’ll dust you off and make sure this thing is popping off again.’ And she goes, ‘Don’t ever play my music again’…of course we are [still playing Nicki Minaj], I love Nicki Minaj.” – Read more at HipHopBands

‘American Idol’ success story Testone brings bluesy voice back to Conway – “I was always kind of planning [before I graduated] on coming back,” she said Friday from Los Angeles. “We’re going to be doing something totally raw. It will be stripped down to acoustic and have some original work. I will come back again and do a plugged show. “When I was in school I always tried to create something that’s not predictable.” It’s her time at Coastal Carolina that has cemented a strong bond between the budding star and Conway. The former Mount Pleasant resident often uses some of her former professors in her performances in Charleston, and Diane Fabiano – one of those Charleston performers who also took part in several concerts with her at Coastal – works at the school as a program assistant in alumni relations. – Read more at MyrtleBeachOnline

Anyone who’s interested can find lots of links here. Isn’t it a good sign when Idols move out of the “bubble” anyway. (I thought this was a KPop awards show. ;0)

Isn’t it a good sign when Idols move out of the “bubble” anyway. ;0

Yes it seems to me these events are waaay outside of the Idol bubble which is another reason they are such a Big Deal for Adam fans.

  • loveroftalent

I like keeping up with what all the idols are doing…Kelly and Carrie are certainly out of the bubble and they are covered here….

  • jpfan2

I meant since Adam is doing  well his fans shouldn’t be so concerned about how much coverage he gets on an Idolcentric blog.  In general I find Idol fans sensitive about coverage when someone isn’t doing that great. Then it’s like a 24/7 job to keep their career going.

  • marmom07

I’m sorry I didn’t see your questions till this morning which I see Montavilla answered for you.

  • loveroftalent

I don’t think his fans are concerned about the amount of coverage on an idol blog, but the fact that he is an idol and all idols get covered here when something big or small and negative or postive is happening in their lives…These recent events have been very positive for Adam’s career

  • Emmuzka

think he’s real talented. But do we really need 40 comments in the headline thread following his every move?

You seen any individual Adam posts lately?

Apparently MJ has decided to not cover Adam’s appearances, but there are still people left here that care about Adam and want to discuss about him. So untill MJ decides to get consistant and ban all Adam coverage altogether, people will bring it to the appropriate day’s headline thread.

  • loveroftalent

Why would MJ not cover Adam appearances…Isn’t all idols covered here…I see comments in the headlines about all the idols all the time and even though I may not be a fan of some, I do not dislike any of them and like reading about them…

  • HKfan

if Adam had been given his own threads for these shows we could have taken all our flailing and comments over there and all non fans could avoid clicking on that thread to their hearts content. The same as I do with all the Scotty and p2 threads. But unfortunately he hasn’t, so we have to discuss the shows on the headlines thread.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Well, as a casual fan (at best) of a couple of Idols, I prefer this blog to be a “flail-free” zone. lol If I want to read all kinds of hyperbolic fangirl/boying and mega-waxing poetic about any Idol, there are Idol-specific fan boards for that level of intensity and enthusiasm. I like the diversity of the topics (and opinions) covered here on MJ’s.

”It’s been so much fun for his fans,”

YUP, we are no difference from some fans of other Idols who would flail when their Idols have gig or something.

  • loveroftalent

Absolutely agree….I see lots of flailing and excitement from fans of other idols too, and there is nothing wrong with that at all…We all are happy for our favourites when something good is happening for them…I’ve seen defensive posts from all the fandoms as well…We are all the same, just different favourites and that’s what is so interesting here at MJs…

Those Hennessy sponsored concerts are great events to participate in and the venues are usually huge (and I’m sure the paycheck is nice, too)!  DC did one in June, 2011 in Viet Nam.  So good for Adam’s fans, that they’ve captured the event on video for those not there.
