DAVID ARCHULETA’S CHRISTMAS GREETINGS 2012

Tim Urban on Taylor Swift Break-Up Song: Maybe It Will Get Me Back on ‘Ellen’ (Video) – “I think Simon would get the humor in it,” he says of the salty Brit, whose judging days on Idol came to an end after Urban’s season (which also featured talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as a judge). “Simon has a sneaky sense of humor. I think he would appreciate it.” The 23-year-old Texas native doesn’t think fans of either pop star are offended by his ditty — the video already has 1,000 likes and few dislikes — and he’s is hoping that Swift and Styles take a look at the video. If nothing else, Urban demures, “Maybe this is my way back on Ellen.” – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

Nikki Reed & Paul McDonald: Bootleg Theater Performance – Watch Now! – Nikki Reed and her hubby Paul McDonald do some shopping together at Barneys New York on Friday (December 7) in Beverly Hills, Calif. The 24-year-old Twilight actress and her hubby recently released a five song EP called “The Best Part”! – See a Video and Photos at Just Jared

Interview: Movie role will keep Jennifer Hudson in holiday spirit – It’s a good thing Jennifer Hudson was already in the Christmas spirit Tuesday at her “A Hudson Holiday” party at the House of Blues, because the Oscar-winning actress and Grammy-winning singer will need it for the next few months. Hudson was recently cast alongside Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett in “Black Nativity,” based on Langston Hughes’ gospel musical of the same name and, according to blackfilm.com, will film January through March in New York City. The film revolves around a Baltimore teenager who is sent to Harlem by his single mother, played by Hudson, to spend Christmas with grandparents he’s never met. “It’s a musical and has kind of a Christmas feel to it,” Hudson said. “All of those things intrigued me and made me want to be a part of it.” – Read more at Chicago Tribune

‘X Factor’ UK Finale Hits Low; Simon Cowell On Deck For Revamped Season 10? – This Sunday night’s season finale hit a peak of 12.8M with delayed viewings. Overall, an average 11.1M viewers (with delayed viewings) watched the two-hour show that aired from 7:40pm to 9:40pm for a 39.6% share. That was a 2M down from last year’s finale and more than 6M off the 2010 finale, The Guardian reports. Figures for the semi-final show last weekend were down 40% compared to 2010 when Cowell was still a judge, according to The Independent. (That season launched boy band One Direction.) Advertising revenues are also said to be down. ITV will generate about £85M in advertising coin from this season, according to The Guardian, about £15M down from its peak. – Read more at Deadline

Nice to ‘Glee’ ya, Lea – Sexy “Glee” star Lea Michele clearly isn’t afraid to show off her backside — but it’s her breasts that she just can’t stop talking about. “These babies are great. They are my prizewinners,” she boasts in the latest issue of Marie Claire magazine (inset). “They were nervous to make their appearance but feel they’ve earned their place,” joked the Bronx-born and Tenafly, NJ-raised Michele, who’s been burning up red carpets with her plunging necklines. “So they asked if they could come out, and I was like, ‘All right, you guys.’ They definitely rose to the occasion, so I’m going to continue to give them more opportunities.” – Read more at New York Post

It will be interesting to see what happens if VEVO & YT don’t come to an agreement in 120 days…

ah yes, I knew that song title wasn’t right when I wrote it.  off to make that correction.  lol

I’m looking forward to both songs.  Jewel is one of those people that I don’t realize I’m a fan of their music until I hear one of her songs played and then I’m reminded all over again about how much I liked her.

While I for my part prefer introvert and more shy celebrities, the most important part should be, that they are talented. And nobody can deny that Adam is a gifted singer.

I really don’t know why The American Country Music Awards are being called “a trainwreck”. This is only the third year and Jason, Luke, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Jake Owen, Kip Moore, Dierks Bentley,Little Big Town and Urban are all performing (if list is correct from internet). Scotty will be there presenting probably the “new artist of the year” award. Sounds to me like this is going to be a very good show if you enjoy country music. In all the categories the nominees (for the most part) belong there.

Haley Reinhart is in New York tonight for the Dubin breast cancer benefit at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. One of the hosts is Tommy Mottola and his wife Thalia will performing along with Haley and K’naan. Seems like a lot of Wall Street types will be attending.

I think it’s because Trace and Kristin were such bad hosts last year…one of my local dj’s said how would they beat Trace carrying Kristin in a baby carrier last year?  I don’t know, but I hope they don’t try…

Another radio station quoted Jason as saying they’re getting more understated and better every year…let’s hope so.

toother: I really don’t know why The American Country Music Awards are being called “a trainwreck”.

I called the ACAs a trainwreck because I’ve found the past 2 years of the show to be a pacing/hosting mess, with no offense to any past performers. I also think the awards are completely superfluous seeing as the CMTs already let fans vote for their country favorites. Let’s face it, this show exists solely because the Fox network wanted to get country acts together for something that will get some ratings. The one value it does have is it gives some people other than the usual suspects the chance to perform on the show but even that factor is down this year. Hopefully the show itself will be better than the last couple of years.

I agree that the industry doesn’t take these awards seriously and a percentage of country music fans understand that these fan voted awards are not necessarily a compleate measure of ones success but a measure of the artist who has the largest group of fans willinging to creat 100 accounts and vote everyday for a month to see their favorite win. But i would guess most people watching the show have no idea what went down and maybe take notice of the winners.  So to that end winning does mean something.

Just wished Trace Adkins would host by himself or with another co-host. Kristin’s voice is somewhat annoying.

It also seems he is going to be a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race sometime this coming season.

That (the one on you tube the first person in the comment thread linked ) Adam Lambert Interview was tremendous.   I’ve known he could sing and he’s been pretty good on intereviews in the past but nothing incredible in my book.. I wasn’t 100% sure of his staying power.   He has evidently learned that trade with the same rigor he learned singing and stage performances.

He was so comfortable and pleasant to listen to.. with 6 people pestering him he always had the right response to reach to with a smile and gracious humor while answering in an informative way.

Good JOB Adam.. we need stars with poise  like that to host events and just generally make us feel good as it is entertainer’s job to do.
