If it was fake pee and everyone knew it, why did Adam react the way he did and throw a glass at the performer? This means he THOUGHT it was real and probably everyone at that club thought so to.

And I have been to many gay venues and the only time I have seen a gay son and his mother out together at a gay venue I always considered it sorta weird.

I like the group choir parts of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, but Finn/Corey doesn’t sell is solo. Rachel/Lea sounds fine on “My Life Would Suck Without You”, but it’s far too close to the original that I don’t see the point.

10% for physical CDs and 8% for digital does not equal 18% of the market.

iTunes was wise to release its DRM restrictions, or else, I’m not sure they’d be holding so steady to their market share. (But, yeah, their strength does speak volumes about downloading growth over physical CD sales.) That said, it does amaze me a little every time I hear someone say that they bought a CD and also downloaded from iTunes in order to have it on their iPod too. I suspect that iTunes does profit quite a bit from folks who are somewhat new to digital technology.

You don’t like any of the songs? That’s a shame. I haven’t watched the clips yet, but I don’t doubt you’re right about the Babs part at least. I love me some Babs when she sings that song. It’s tough to take on such an iconic performance/song.

Well, actually, they were at an entertainment venue that’s pretty time honored in many sophisticated cities around the world. These places aren’t really for young-gay-men-only or anything … And who knows whether there was actual pee anyway? Coulda just been water being splashed. Burlesque acts *do* use artifice of various kinds. We’re not exactly talking a dive here.

During one of the performances, the tranny onstage peed on the first row where they all were sitting.

Here’s my prediction: In addition to making a Broadway showtunes album next year (in time for Christmas), Subo will appear on the cover with her cat. And she will sell 300k. You can quote me on that.

The most shocking thing Adam could do next year would be to put a show tunes album.

I have one thought, and maybe it is ‘uncool,’  but I am an Adam fan and I am not picking on him. I wonder if the album cover will have more of a negative effect on sales than the AMA performance? I saw the CDs in an endcap at Target, and the cover is a bit shocking if you are not a fan. I have come to have a certain appreciation for the picture, but mostly because I love the music behind it and understand, kind of, who Adam is. I just wonder if this is having any effect on the casual buyer, especially on the heels of the AMAs.

I’ve always thought that it would. I think it was Hazelhel (?) who put it best a bit ago, it damaged his “brand,” and I would agree with that.
