how to string multi genre together on one album and still maintain cohesiveness ‘ ¦.

I have a lot of positive adjectives for Adam’s album, but “cohesive” aint one of them. I don’t think he quite pulled that off.

New videos of Danny at 95.7 The Wolf country music station in California bay area, where there was an appearance for winners of a contest to attend a brunch with Danny.

I really like this and Danny’s agreeing to go to that genre. Although I’m an 100% Adam supporter I feel since he’s in a league of his own, it’s not even fair to compare him to others so I don’t do it.

I always liked Danny’s timbre, he and Adam have different vocal chords and I enjoy a break to the Danny (and Daughtry) type now and then. I appreciate his commitment to finding his musical self and his honesty about it during Idol when he stipulated he was basically coming from a very limited background and had alot to learn (except the experimental wail on Rock week but mad props for the balls required for that lol).

For me, the vocal rankings on Idol8 were Adam, Alli and Danny. But my personality and interests focus me on technical things whether I want to or not so I have to watch that in public lol.

I love the move having him sit. That’s the right move for now. He’s improving on his technical skills and I hope he continues vocal lessons so he can train his transitions to upper register and falsetto and master the breathing and most importantly control. It’s very hard to sing quietly and this is a challenge in this song. His voice is pretty in the quiet zone as well as when he’s at a normal or louder volume but he’s not there yet for me, He’s got alot going for him and I think he can have a good career. I think developing technical skills is important because techniques completely change the sound of a song and the listener is engaged without even knowing why when a good technique is used. Like opening your mouth in an O and not giving in to facial and neck tension KRIS.Although I give him credit for finally almost getting rid of the side mouth that was really holding him back IMO.

I think Neal’s head would explode if he played Magic Rainbows. Hee!

The band (including Neal) didn’t have to learn to play it. David’s performed ToML acoustically, most notably at the Walmart shareholders’ meeting.

Look, I am not the biggest fan of ToML either, but I am rather anal retentive as well as sentimental. When someone is going to do the whole album, then you should do the whole album. That’s all. The world didn’t end when Ryan Starr sang the song to David…. Maybe he should have just had him show up and do it. Heh.

I agree media bias. After a review of Soaked I was convinced that the writer is a complete amateur. What a shame.

While Cookie’s fandom may have its share of complainers, angsters and crazies, it also has generous people who celllcast the concerts and share their videos so we can all vicariously live the goodness.

It is amazing what we have access to… we’re so spoiled! I’ll also say having been to a few shows that he has some awesome fans who I’ve been lucky enough to meet (hi, vascot and FolkFan!) and one thing that I love about Cookie fans is how they embrace his opening acts.

Sasstcatz, right there with ya. ToML put him on the map, it’s still hugely popular, and a lot of his fans really like it. Too bad, but if I had been at the concert and he had played every other song, which he did, I would have been disappointed. (So true re: CBTM and LO as well.)

I WAS at the concert last night and found not one thing disappointing. I don’t mind TOML one bit, but I do understand that it’s not a song that he ever chose to sing. Heh, if Ryan Star had been opening for him, maybe his band could have done it again.

In all honesty, Adam’s music is not for everyone, but it’s going to be for a lot of people. RCA/19 has surrounded an extremely talented singer with some extremely talented songwriters and producers to create something pretty special.

The most important thing the reviewer didn’t say was the VISION and DIRECTION was all Adam Lambert. Yes the producer is 100% responsible for the finished product. Perhaps Lambert doesn’t know what box to use to create a certain effect, and I’m sure the producer created the effects with his creative vision and collaboration too, but Lambert was the one who defined WHAT it’s supposed to sound like and how to string multi genre together on one album and still maintain cohesiveness ….and without that there is no FYE.

Heh. I was wondering how long it would take us to nitpick after the awesome that was the ENTIRE album performed in order.

LOL, oh fanbase. Never change. Personally, I don’t give a crap if he sings Rainbowz again. He sang it ad nauseum at every public appearance post AI. He couldn’t appear publicly and NOT sing it. He put in the time. (Of his life.) IMHO, he earned a get out of purgatory free card. Maybe it would be different if the excommunicated tune was one I personally adored, like ADAM. But since it’s not, whatevs.
