Jimmy Kimmel – Pedestrian Question – Are You Stupid? feat Casey Abrams

Look who showed up in this Jimmy Kimmel bit from last night!

Jordin Sparks Promotes Migraine Awareness in the Big Apple – Partnering with Excedrin Migraine to get the word out, Jordin Sparks attended the launch of the “Managing Migraines: Know Your Triggers, Know Your Treatment” campaign at the Herald Square in New York City on Wednesday (November 14). The “American Idol” winner looked stylish in her fall outfit of a black coat, animal-print scarf, black skirt with tights and knee-high black boots. – See the Photos at Gossip Center

Jordin Sparks, Jason Derulo Celebrate People’s Sexiest Man Alive Issue (PHOTO) – Like everyone else, we’ve been eagerly anticipating People’s 2012 Sexiest Man Alive issue. (This year’s pick was “charming, chiseled” Channing Tatum, in case you weren’t aware.) And it looks as if Jordin Sparks was excited to get her hands on the magazine. But of course, the 22-year-old “American Idol” winner had an added reason to celebrate. Her boyfriend, Jason Derulo served as host for People’s launch party for the issue at New York City’s Dream Downtown hotel. Why did Derulo have the honor of emceeing the event? The pop star was one of 2011’s Sexiest Men Alive, of course. – See the Photos at People

Exclusive: Jason Trawick Mocks Fiancee Britney Spears! – Britney Spears’ constant demands that fiance Jason Trawick “check in with her” have him fuming, a source tells Us Weekly. “The romance is gone,” says the insider. Trawick, 40, “puts her on speakerphone so friends can hear her nagging.” (A rep for the X Factor star, 30, denies this, and an insider insists, “That’s not Jason’s style. They’re happy.”) But the source contends there’s turbulence ahead: “I’d be shocked if they got married.” – Read more at US Magazine

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Now Focusing on Brother Val’s Success on Dancing with the Stars – But while the Ukrainian-born dancer has made it to the final round of the immensely popular dance show four times in his 13 seasons, his elimination from the all-star competition came with an almost welcome whimper. “There’s no sting, no sting at all,” Chmerkovskiy, attending the launch event for Kimberly Snyder’s juice bar Glow Bio in West Hollywood, tells PEOPLE about Wednesday’s elimination, which sent him and partner Kirstie Alley home. – Read more at People

‘Nashville’ Insider: Pawns in the Publicity Game – For Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), resident troubled country hottie on ABC’s primetime soap Nashville, damage control means a trip to the zoo. In three moves, the flack’s work has gone exponential. Sponsors pull out, ticket sales stall and the tour cancels. Time for the PR Olympics. To make a bad girl look good requires major, not to mention humbling, moves. When in doubt, the first rule of publicity is: deflect. Your client says something stupid to Playboy, talk about anything except what was said. Tour plans, new singles, exotic video shoots, even, well, choirboys and baby animals. And so the solution for Juliette’s image problem is a distraction: a love interest in the form of a football player. – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

Another interview with Jordin done this week in New York. She talks about her new  migraine project plus mentions her next album will probably be out next Spring. that would be hopefully timed with an Idol performance as well.

Pia Toscano and Jared Lee did a beautiful cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You” to raise awareness for Hurricane Sandy relief:

Country Weekly magazine does a competition between the three country Christmas albums…Lady A, Blake, and CWSM. Rather than compare the whole albums (which their reviews do, I guess), they compare directly the songs that the albums have in common.
    1) Let it Snow is on all three albums–they give it to Lady A.
    2) Holly Jolly Christmas–between Scotty and LA–they give it to Scotty.
    3) I’ll Be Home for Christmas–Blake and LA…LA.
    4) The Christmas Song–between Scotty and Blake–they give it to Scotty.   Happiness.

That’s another guy who has written with other Idols. In fact, he is one of Kri Allen’s co-writers on “If Only I Could Cry,” the song that made Daniel Powter’s latest album.

He also wrote an unreleased song with Kris called “Day I Did You Wrong”

I caught Restore the Shore. the devastation is still so overwhelming.
Phillip was the last to perform and once again, Home such a perfect song

From Halestorm to Kris Allen. It amazes me the broad spectrum of music in which some of these guys write.

I’m curious to hear what they’re working on.

  • IrisandLilies

I’m so glad someone posted the concert online because I wasn’t able to watch the livestream, even though I paid for a ticket.  Phillip is really comfortable around and good at interacting with children.  I think he said once that if he couldn’t be a musician he would like to have a job working with children.

Gone Gone Gone was the perfect song from Phillip’s new album to sing with the children because of its chorus.  I’m amazed at how good they sounded, given that Phillip and the children had only 45 minutes to practice five songs together.  (And yes, I do realize that Phillip was not always on tune, but sometimes the feelings and emotions that go into singing a song are more important than hitting every note.)

I wonder if Phillip will wear the T-shirt that PS22 gave him to any of his interviews next week.  If he has any say in the matter, I think he will.  I bet he appreciates that T-shirt more than the free suit and sweater that he mentioned getting in his interview with Elvis Duran.

Kris just announced on twitter that his Christmas EP “Waiting For Christmas” will be availalbe next Friday, 11/23

I completely agree…he was great with the kids & for me the majority of the time it is the emotion of a performance that connects with me as opposed to perfection.  Looking forward to being able to listen to the whole album from start to finish on Monday!  By the way his performance on MTV last night was great.

  • CanadianLady

Also watched Phillip on StageIt and thought he did great! Like Gone Gone Gone a lot.

  • IrisandLilies

I don’t have cable so I hope someone posts the MTV performance, too.  I also can’t wait to get my hands on his album.  Fingers crossed that the Target store near me has put them out by the time I swing by on Mondy night.

Good Job!  So good!  Love how this song can be a more upbeat, folksy good time or a very sentimental touching song…depending on the occasion. Phillip has really made this song his own.

  • potatorocks

Thanks much for the P2 links.  Phillip Phillips is just so easy to like.
