  • girlygirltoo

Happy he finally sang Underneath live. That’s one of my favorite songs on his album.

  • Sharon S.

Yet again, Adam has given me something I didn’t know I wanted…a reggae version of OOL!  When I first read about it, my first reaction was WTF? – but I should have trusted in Adam, because it sounds amazing.

I absolutely cannot wait for complete videos from this concert.  The photos are enough to kill me ~ded, and based on the tweets and the videos we have so far, it was an incredible performance all around.

    Congrats, Adam!!!

  • HKfan

I haven’t checked all the pics posted yet, but this one is definitely worth a peek, all the costumes from the SA show..

I did a search – says no review posted yet.  Did they put it up & take it back down?

  • Sharon S.

I don’t have the link handy anymore, but if you click on “Reviews”, you can get to it that way.

ETA: This is the direct link…don’t know if it will work, but the review is definitely there.

  • loveroftalent

What an amazing show Adam put together……He looked so happy to hear the fans singing along and knowing his music…

I swear Adam is better looking all the time.

  • Sharon S.

Sam da Silva has started posting her Capetown videos on her YouTube channel:

So far there are three parts posted, comprising the first eight songs in the set.

  • tucker davis…008011472.storyPhillip Phillips, ‘The World From the Side of the Moon': Album Review

At the beginning of his major-label debut, “The World From the Side of the Moon,” season 11 “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips laments, “It’s hard to know where I stand.” He certainly has reason to. Like most “Idol” winners, the Georgia-born singer/songwriter was treated as a blank canvas, judged on skill at the expense of identity. Even Phillips’ coronation song, “Home,” aligned him with the Mumford & Sons nu-folk movement. He continues that path here on “Gone, Gone, Gone” and “Can’t Go Wrong,” but the album actually plays out more like the year’s second-best Dave Matthews Band release. Working primarily with producer Gregg Wattenberg (O.A.R., Train), Phillips displays that same Southern jam inclination, driving “Hold On,” “Tell Me a Story,” the gentle “Wanted Is Love” and especially “Get Up Get Down” with acoustic guitar and percolating dynamics and sonic enhancements (plenty of strings). Phillips even has the same kind of throaty timbre and atendency to roll his r’s like Matthews. But Phillips sounds natural enough within that style, more acolyte than imitator, which makes the album one of the more engaging champion debuts in the show’s inconsistent history.

  • Incipit

I did a search too, wordnerdarchie, but only found the page that Sharon S has linked. It reads like the opening paragraphs to an actual review of the songs on the album, but that’s all there is, just a general impression, like an overview. IDK, Maybe that’s all BillBoard does?

  • Jazz_11

Warning though – his videos, the video and audio are out of sync. :(

  • loveroftalent

I’ve watched the 3 parts so far…Loving it, even though it is out of sync.  Underneath is the most beautiful song live….Chills…Just like with WWTLF with Queen…

I just don’t have the words to describe how amazing this man is…

  • wordnerdarchie

Strange review – posted as a news item.  I was looking under his album/reviews at this link.

I wonder if BB will do another indepth review & post it there.

  • Incipit

Enjoyed the Casey Abrams interview, had to *chuckle* when he said to the interviewer “OK, you didn’t listen.” re the Haley questions…Heh. They frequently don’t.

I didn’t hear anything about the possibility of another single, though. I love “Get Out”, and I think it did better on the charts than “Simple Life”, so I was kinda hoping for “Dry Spell” or “Blame it on Me”. Especially “Blame it On Me.”

  • loveroftalent
  • CanadianLady

    I guess that’s a positive review?

  • CanadianLady

I was hoping for another Christmas duet from them.

    Love “Blame it On Me.”

  • MellyPer1692

This is so cool! The Blonds sketch for the jacket they made Adam!

    “@TheBlondsNY: “@phillipeblond: <3! @theblondsny” EXCLUSIVE!!! JUST FOR THE @adamlambert ARMY!!!”

Also awesome is this pic that has all the outfits for tonight's show

@adamlambert I love all the outfits you had!

  • Sharon S.

That sketch is all kinds of adorable, and I love that The Blonds shared it with Adam’s fans.  The Blonds are such fanboys themselves where Adam is concerned.  Some time ago, I saw an interview with them in which they cited Adam as a major inspiration for their decision to get into designing menswear.  For someone as fashion-conscious as Adam, that has to be a huge compliment!

  • bridgette12

Absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to hear this performed live.

  • Incipit

David Cook’s old school will honor him next week – Blue Springs, MO

Before this post scrolls off the front page, thanks, mj, for putting up that item about David C – I remember the Homecoming Visit in 2008 – the part at 3:24 about David with Mrs. Gentry at his old school was a sweet moment.

Looking forward to seeing some video of this visit to Blue Springs – and maybe some coverage of the 125th Kansas City Anniversary Celebration next Tuesday.

  • lovetheusa1776

Thanks – Unfortunately, it reached its 100-download limit before I got there.  But still can get from the video.  Beautiful performance – straight from the heart.

  • Axxxel

Love the reggea vibe in OOL… I can already imagine myself starting to dance while taking in the beautiful message of the song !

  • Axxxel

Thank you for posing those videos here…”Fame” sounded great ! I think Adam should really do this during his concerts… at least sing one song from his idols days…A lot of the audience know him from Idol, and me personally I would love to feel a bit sentimental about that period ,even if it is only during one song…

During Glamnation tour i really liked it when he sang Ring of Fire, exactly like he did on idol… for only 1,5 minute… and sometimes Mad World.

  • Nadine_Bitch

Thanks for the vids! So great to wake up too… *smiling*

  • asifclueless
