Answer: Gene Simmons spouted something, that he thought I’d ruined my career by coming out. He’s obnoxious, and what a hypocrite ‘“ all he talks about is his sex life. He was being a dick ‘“ and he’s not the greatest singer. I guess he’s a good businessman. I’ll give him that.

It’s one thing to call Gene a dick, but to put down the singing of fellow artists? Particularly those who have been in the industry for so long and are no longer in their prime? Not classy. It comes off as particularly arrogant in Adam’s case because he probably is aware that a lot of people think he is a very gifted singer. I generally don’t have a problem with a lot of things Adam says. He can use the word “twat”, talk about his drug history and say that some of his fans are smelly for all I care. However, insulting those who are obviously not as good singers as you are is not cool. I’ve also seen enough interviews to know that Adam knows how to be diplomatic when it matters to him. It’s not like he doesn’t have a filter.

So once again, Adam is looking like a glammed out figure from the wild West? I mean that brooch looks like a badge to me, and the rest with the coat and boots and all, I’m just saying. Well I guess sherrif is a step up from the 1800′s barkeep look of the AMA announcements.

Well hell. But I’ve read she’s going to start doing a radio tour starting Nov. 16th and she got like 5 adds yesterday from Top 40 stations, IIRC, so hopefully this will help. That lack of support thus for Allison has not been happy making, but seems like there will some stuff in the works for her.

I think it will be really cool if it’s true. Monte and Adam go way back and it will be nice for him to have someone playing with him who has such a close relationship, not to mention he’s a kickass guitarist.

That’s not the point. It’s kind of like saying that you can’t get into the Dalai Lama because he has lousy fashion sense. And I’m not saying everybody has to listen to Dylan or have a picture of the Dalai Lama on their wall (or follow his sartorial stylings)

But it is the point when the question specifically is about music and why musically you don’t get into it. For your Dalai Lama analogy to be similiar, it really would be asking if you liked his fashion sense and you going, ‘I really respect the whole dressing according to being a leader of a religion, but I really don’t like yellows, they make me look sallow.’ The actual question put to Adam was about music, so Adam answered with music he didn’t like, and based solely on the basis of music.

So Dylan’s being other things, are really irrelevant to Adam’s answer about why he couldn’t get into Dylan’s vocals, and thus his music. Adam dealt with all of Dylan’s stuff with words of respect, and kept his answer solely to the focus of the question, what music and why.

Oh and yellow really does make me look sallow, yet another reason I would not make a good Buddhist monk.
