According to @xfactorxtra, the X Factor contestants will attend the Jack and Jill premiere tonight in Los Angeles. The premiere will be at the Mann’s Chinese Theater.

Adam Lambert set to perform at the MTV European Music Awards tonight. Word is, he’ll be performing with Queen.

Carrie Underwood almost finished with her album

Carrie Underwood blogged at her fansite this morning: She’s been in the studio recording this week. The album just needs a few finishing touches before it’s done. Carrie describes the album as “tempo heavy”. She’s up early this morning for some CMA meetings. speaking of which–her CMA dresses well be very dramatic!

Poor Lauren Alaina. It’s tough to be a normal 16-year-old girl when you’re out on the road, touring and promoting your new album, which is currently blowing up the charts. The ‘American Idol’ runner-up discovered the price of fame this week when she tweeted that she did not pass her driver’s test… because she slept through it.

‘Idol’ Reject William Hung Now Dropping Hits … With the Sheriff!!

William Hung can still draw an audience — nearly 8 years after murdering “She Bangs” on “American Idol” … he’s landed a sweet gig in law enforcement, of all places.

TMZ has learned Hung is now working for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department as a Technical Crime Analyst — fancy name for a dude who crunches numbers to help prevent future crimes.

Casey James’ comeback a year after ‘Idol’

Whereas most albums recorded by “American Idol” alumni are rushed through production in order to strike while the “Idol” iron is hot, Casey James has taken his time with his upcoming CD.

In fact, the guy who came in third on Season 9 has rarely even been seen since the 2010 “Idol” summer tour ended.

Now, suddenly, he has a hit single on the radio and an album coming out early next year. Last month CMT Network named him country’s “next big thing.”

Local fans gather for Aaron Kelly performance

NICHOLS, N.Y. – Approximately 1,200 guests came together Friday at Tioga Downs in Nichols, N.Y. to watch two performances by Aaron Kelly, the Sonestown, Pa. country singer who turned his small community upside down when he soared into the Top Five on Season 9 of American Idol.

And on Friday evening, as fans filed into the stage area at Tioga Downs – some wearing fan club shirts purchased prior to the show, there was a bit of excitement in the air.
