Cee Lo Green Mariah & Nicki’s Beef IS BOGUS – “The Voice” judge Cee Lo Green is calling BS on Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s fiery feud — telling TMZ, we’re in L.A. … practically EVERYTHING is fake in this town. Cee Lo had just finished lunch in West Hollywood yesterday when we asked if he thought Nicki and Mariah’s “Idol” fight was legit — and he said, “This is Hollywood, California. Hardly anything’s legit.” – Read more at TMZ

Mariah Carey’s Posse Cops, Bodyguards, Umbrella Holder – Mariah Carey got a full police AND umbrella escort on her way out of an “American Idol” photo shoot in Baton Rouge yesterday — ’cause the only more harmful than angry rappers are those damn UV rays. Carey had told Babwa Wawa that she bulked up her security team after Nicki Minaj allegedly threatened to shoot her with a gun during their blowup earlier this week … and Thursday she proved she ain’t messin’ around. Sources tell us … Mariah and Nicki both participated in the shoot — and even posed for pics TOGETHER. We’re told the shoot was peaceful, but it’s clear the hatchet is not buried. – Read more at TMZ

Smash’s Katharine McPhee Talks Auditions, Anjelica Huston and the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey Beef – Okay, we just have to go there. Thoughts on the American Idol Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey beef? I barely heard about it today and I don’t know the details. All I know is there was some yelling that was caught on tape and Nicki went off. It sounds like it could be not a good thing, but their altercation will be great press, for sure. Listen, it’s gonna make great TV. If people know that now and it’s just getting started, it’s gonna be exciting. – Read more at PaperMag.com

Katharine McPhee on ‘Smash’: Sean Hayes, a Big Kissing Scene, and Dream Guest Stars – On how filming is going for the second season of Smash. “It’s really going great. We’re on Episode 8. We don’t air until next year sometime—they haven’t given us our date yet. We’re just plugging along. I think that the stories are just really great this year. They’re kind of refocused, and at the same time there’s more music—it’s going back to the heart of what the show’s about, which is the making of a show. So people really have an inside look of it. And with that comes a lot of drama. It’s just been really exciting.” – Read more at MinotDailyNews

GLAAD: TV’s LGBT Characters at All-Time High by Kimberly Roots – Thanks in part to series like NBC’s The New Normal and CBS’ Partners, broadcast TV this season will feature the highest percentage of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters ever recorded. GLAAD’s annual “Where We Are on TV” report, released Friday, showed that 4.4 percent of broadcast series regular characters will be LGBT this season, up from 2.9 percent in 2011. That number is the highest the group has seen in the 17 years it has tracked TV, and a far cry from 1.1 percent registered in 2007. – Read more at TV Line

Chris Colfer Opens Up About ‘The Break-Up’ – No matter which ‘ship you sail on, Glee’s gail-force break-up episode left everyone’s hearts bruised, battered and gasping for air. “The X Factor” boot camp: What you don’t see – They don’t call this week’s “X Factor” competitions “boot camp” just for fun. According to season one finalist Chris Rene, it’s called that for a reason. Even Simon Cowell described Wednesday and Thursday’s rounds as “a nightmare.” And behind-the-scenes, the contestants are put through the ringer a bit, too. “They don’t show that part,” Rene told CBSNews.com. “I was there. I know what it’s like.” – Read More at CBS News

“Nigel Lythgoe tweets, “I am now in Baton Rouge for the #AmericanIdol auditions. I wonder what today holds for me?”

Well, Nigel, if it’s something that you think will gain Idol even an ounce of publicity I’m sure that we’ll hear about it from TMZ. lol

I have a feeling that one of the new songs on Kelly’s GH album will be a straight out country song.

is Kelly trying to show CMA voters that she’s worth the female vocalist nomination? LOL!

Anyway, she’s not gonna win it, unless politics. HAHA

  • Lucie Laniel

Scotty is definitely showing his Christmas voice on this album. His 2 new songs and his Elvis song are so, so good. Amazing.

Can’t wait for October 16th to hear the whole CD.

Kris always seems to wind up in strange situations late at night. Last night was no exception!

    Kris Allen

#Just watched a car blow up. Holy crap!!!!!

#We just pushed a car yo safety and then the car blew up. Never seen anything like that.

#The guys car definitely blew up but the guy is fine. Craziest night of my life.

    #Playin shows and savin lives.

    BigDaddySays (Kris’ tour mgr)

#Tried to save a guys life from his car while it was on fire. I dot really know what’s going on but this shit is crazy.

#What the hell just happened?!? I literally haven’t ever come so close to death. @calevis24 and @KrisAllen and Torres saw.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kelly puts out a country album once her deal with RCA ends (she owes them 1 more album, I think?)

  • fuzzywuzzy

I think that maybe, this GH album with the 3 new songs will fulfill her contract with RCA.

  • julesb2183

can’t wait to hear Kelly’s version of Blown Away!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ENXWTPQX7WDUGFKDMOUHAWCQMY Van

“Blown Away” isn’t exactly a ‘country’ song though. It’s a country singer, but it’s a pretty pop production. Plus, this was a fan request. She said a lot of her fans have been requesting her to sing this song, so she did.

Kelly’s not the type that cares about only winning. She rarely even attends award shows anymore. She did win a CMA last year and she wasn’t even there.

  • abbysee

She also implied she wad embarrassed by the ‘undeserved’ nomination, but she’d try to do something to deserve it in the future.

Posted this in the Nashville thread (noted that they used one of Haley’s songs – Hit the Ground Running – for promo for the show).  In case it gets moderated, I’m posting it here

I’m going to be heading to NY for Haley and Casey’s performance at Carnegie Hall

In this interview with Irvin Mayfield jr on Fox, he talks about meeting Haley and Casey for the first time in NOLA and being SHOCKED that Haley could sing when she performed “God Bless the Child” in that youtube video.  His expression when he expresses his shock is hilarious….Irvin’s “Haley WTF moment”

They talk about Haley and Casey at 3:45

    http://video.foxnews.com/v/1878559689001/celebration-of-the-new-orleans-jazz-orchestra/

This is the performance he’s referring to in case you don’t knowhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvouGjJAEL4

After this performance was when Mayfield jr told them he’d try to get them to Carnegie Hall with him :D

  • girlygirltoo

why would he be shocked? even Idol’s biggest critics will admit that most of the contestants on the show can sing well

  • Xentusk

why would he be shocked? even Idol’s biggest critics will admit that most of the contestants on the show can sing well

He meant it as a compliment, in the context of the interview.  He doesn’t watch Idol nor was he aware that she was from Idol.  He thought she was just somebody’s girlfriend up there to do her kareoke act and wasn’t expecting what he heard.  You can see his reaction in the video

I’m going to be heading to NY for Haley and Casey’s performance at Carnegie Hall

Xentusk, thanks for this post! and the reminder, also the interview where Mayfield talks about his initial experience when Haley stepped on his stage. That video is pure gold, especially from 8:00 on to the end.

I would love to hear about the Carnegie Hall show, if you want to share – wasn’t able to listen to the Live Stream.

“I wonder what today holds for me?”  Yeeeess, Nigel! It is such a mystery and not to be contrived, scripted, planned, exploited or will be sold to TMZ by any means! Nope! *whistles merry tune nonchalantly*
