Hey, isn’t that . . . : Kris Allen as a Ghostbuster (video) – Kris Allen dancing in the middle of storm-drenched 15th Street NW around 1 a.m. Tuesday, wearing a Ghostbusters jumpsuit. No, you guys, really, it sounds like a dream, but it happened! The 2009 “American Idol” winner — who played the Hamilton in D.C. Sunday but had an Annapolis gig canceled by the weather — was dining with bandmates and associates at the Madison (looking totally normal: hipster-chic, black-rimmed specs, etc.) when a Post reporter asked for a photo. . . which somehow prompted the guys to get their Halloween started early, putting on the costumes they had on hand and running out to see if any bars had weathered the storm. He was last seen chasing the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man down the street. Well, of course there’s video — check it out.

Carrie Underwood Learns Life Lesson From Country Music Association Awards Co-Host Brad Paisley – “He’s not a different person in front of the camera and a whole different person away from the cameras,” Underwood said in a recent interview. “He is the way you think he is. It’s really great to see how somebody has balanced family life and doing this, you know, being in our crazy world. Because a few years ago I was wondering how on Earth anybody could make that work. And seeing him and (wife) Kimberly (Williams-Paisley) — she’s superbusy, too — being able to juggle that is very encouraging.” – Read more at Access Hollywood

I’m trying to catch all the different horror movies in theaters right now.” So what has been his favorite costume? “I think Batman has to be my favorite costume. I’m a huge Batman nerd. I’m sure I’ve been Batman for Halloween more than four times,” he said. – Read more at Radio Alice

Britney Spears Trial: Paparazzo Adnan Ghalib Recounts Their Romance – Instead, Ghalib alleged that Spears’s mom Lynne once tried to coerce him. “She requested that I say [to the media] Sam Lutfi was responsible for Britney Spears’s behavior,” he said. Under cross-examination, Ghalib confirmed that he bought a disposable cell phone at Lutfi’s request to be smuggled to the singer in mid-2008, months after her father obtained legal control over her. Ghalib also admitted that a judge ordered him to stay away from Spears for three years and was once arrested while evading a process server in the case. – Read more at People.com

Dancing With the Stars Backstage Scoop: Sabrina Bryan Knew It Was Coming, Even If We Didn’t – After receiving a perfect score last night, Sabrina Bryan was given the boot (coincidentally, at the same point of the competition as the first time around), but she’s definitely not going to leave the show on a sour note. “It’s tough, you know what I mean? It just feels like déjà vu, when are we gonna wake up from this nightmare? But at the same time, last night was incredible. It was so amazing. It was such an experience and I feel so grateful to even have this chance on the show again,” she tells E! News. – Read more at E Online

Shawn Johnson Upset over ‘DWTS’ Partner’s Injury – “When he pulled me aside today and said, ‘I think they’re going to bring Mark in,’ my heart kind of sank,” Johnson said. “I love Mark [and] I love Derek, but the idea of just seeing him have to bow out for a week…upset me. It was hard.” The normally lighthearted, playful professional dancer has been uncharacteristically serious during his post-show backstage interviews with ET, which may have been a byproduct of his injury. After last night’s show, Hough hinted that the injury was a bulging disc as he held an ice pack to his neck. “Honestly, I’ve never seen that kind of face and frustration [from him],” Johnson observed. “He’s upset, and I understand it. It’s really sad. I’m more so worried about him getting better…and taking care of his body than anything. Being a former athlete and competitor, I can just tell how it’s eating at him.” – Read more at Entertainment Tonight

Bryan & Partner ‘Numb’ after ‘DWTS’ Elimination – “I must say, I’m numb right now,” said Bryan’s partner Louis Van Amstel. “I’m not crying; I’m not smiling; I’m just [thinking], ‘Really? Did that really just happen?’ At the same time, we’re so appreciative of the opportunity to be [a] part of this season.” “I’ve been through this before. I went home Week 6 [last time],” Bryan said. “I walked in even before we danced last night knowing Week 6 was like Doomsday for me. I gave it everything I had…Life could be a lot worse than losing ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ but at the same time, I can’t tell you how grateful I am just for this opportunity.” – Read more at Entertainment Weekly

15 last-minute reality TV Halloween costumes that require virtually no effort – Because I’m a curmudgeon, I don’t actively celebrate Halloween, unless you consider celebrating to be hiding in my house with the lights off so the greedy children won’t beg me for candy, interrupting my entire evening. Oh, I kid: I just eat all the candy myself and sit in my dark house and self-loath all night. Anyway, if you’re a procrastinator and need an actual costume for today or tonight, here are some simple things you can throw together with things in your house, kind of like I threw together this post: – Read more at Reality Blurred

And the “Home” saga continues. Last night, my husband came running upstairs to tell me he just heard “Home” playing on a Tim Horton’s ad here in Canada. During the Miami/Boston NBA game. I saw it three times after that during the game. The ad begins with the music and shows people drinking Tim Horton’s coffee in various places and then indicates you can bring in your Tim Horton’s cup and take your coffee “Home” while Phillip sings the last two lines.

Kelly did the CMA radio rounds yesterday and I think I saw that Lauren was doing some today, but I could be mistaken about that.

    Here’s the main one: http://www.bigdandbubba.com/player/?mid=22583939

    Questions were:
    1. What was it like to win “Musical Event of the Year” last year?
    2. Does she still get nervous to perform on tv? (No, but will be this week because it’s Vince Gill)
    3. Were you surprised about your “Female Vocalist of the Year” nomination? (Shocked. She doesn’t think she deserves it yet but is going to prove that she can earn it.  Sets a goal for her.)
    4. Difference in promoting a pop single versus a country single? (Not really. Expands on how she records and doesn’t put herself in one specific place in regards to genre.)
    5. Ever planning on releasing a full country album? (Right now seeing if people like what she’s doing, if they do, still unsure if a full album will happen or if she’ll continue like she has lately)
    6. What’s in store for 2013? (Just got big new house so settling in there, promoting GH here and there and taking it easy until the summer.)

    Some fun ones..
with Blair Garner – sorta intros her as PFORM (Personal Friend of Reba McEntire) and they joke about how small that whole circle is: http://youtu.be/YRtZUNfRVqI
KNIX – among other things she talks about how she got Don’t Rush (co-written by her friend): http://youtu.be/eJLdvgoiE8E
Music Row Live- she expands on how they got Vince on the track: http://youtu.be/gl5tPZxzqNc

Scotty’s family tweeted this afternoon that he is headed to Nashville. I’m not sure if he was planning to do any radio interviews later today. He did a radio interview this morning & said he will attend the CMA’s.

  • http://twitter.com/LexieONeill Lexie O’Neill

Very interesting new interview with Scotty…sad thing is, he’s definitely only in the choosing songs stage for his 2nd album, really interesting thing is that they’ll be sending “a handful” of songs off CWSM to radio…

Y’know, I’d been wondering how formal the promo process to radio is with holiday songs, and it sounds like the answer is “not very.”

I’m really hoping McCreery’s “Let It Snow” goes to DMX and other ambient music providers, as every retail outlet in Arizona seems to obsess on that song and I’m sick of existing versions (and actively like his).

My favorite quote from the article:

But I just think it’ll make me more of a lifelong learner, and help me understand everything around me better. I’m in a world now with people that all have college degrees, so I think it behooves me to go to college and get a better understanding of everything.

THAT is a young man who grasps the value of learning to speak “label.”

I also truly could see Christmas in Heaven or Christmas Comin’ Around getting airplay, or even his Jingle Bells (can’t remember the last time I enjoyed that song before his).:))

I hope he doesn’t wait too long, I think that is what hurt Cook, Kris, and Adam the most. But then again, at least we have the Christmas album to hold fans over.

Aww, That was sweet of Archie to send a Halloween picture for his fans. Needs a haircut, though. *snerk*

Lots of fans this morning thought that was a regular pic of David with gorilla bits just photoshopped on afterward but Kari said no that was actually David wearing the mask. Ha!Now David Cook’s tweet — that’s just WRONG. Just say no to spiders! Especially in the bathroom 0_0
