Paula Abdul on joining ‘SYTYCD’: ‘It is an intriguing offer’

Paula Abdul told EW.com exclusively that while ‘it is an intriguing offer,’ she has yet to grant Nigel Lythgoe’s request that she join the judging panel of So You Think You Can Dance. During Monday’s telecast of the dance show, Lythgoe officially offered the former American Idol judge a guest spot on the panel. ‘I haven’t made any decisions about what I want to do next,’ Abdul said while walking the red carpet of last night’s This Is It premiere in Los Angeles. ‘I might need a break from judging for awhile. But you never know. Dance was my first passion.’ ‘“ With reporting from Carrie B

Mia Michaels: Why I Left So You Think You Can Dance

Why did you decide to move on from So You Think You Can Dance?
It’s been an amazing five-year journey and I am in a place where I have all these great opportunities that have been presented to me and I am ready to take on all these challenges. So when I was working on the show, I wasn’t able to really focus on anything else. Now I’m really focusing on these other projects that I can’t pass up. I think that’s pretty much the main reason why I left the show.

From Stockton to the USO, Edman is go-to guy

John Edman is what Dirk Hamilton and many other musicians call their “go-to” guy.

Edman, a veteran Stockton sound technician and recording studio engineer and producer, has made musicians from smooth-jazz sax players to hard-rock bands such as Filter hear just what they – and their audiences – want to hear.

He just returned from spending two weeks in Japan with Elliott Yamin, a Los Angeles-based R&B singer. He’s assuming a management role with Yamin and Los Angeles’ 16 Frames (“intelligent pop in the Matchbox 20 vein”), whose music has been heard on MTV’s “The Hills” series.

This week, we can see where Lambert landed after the mayhem and destruction – in his own distant and peculiar galaxy, circa 1983.

Review | `The Color Purple’ worth the wait — and you may have to

She is given in marriage to Mister (Rufus Bonds Jr.), a widower with four unruly children, a man who beats her, sexually uses her and openly disdains her as “ugly.” For decades, she is cut off from any contact with her beloved younger sister Nettie (the radiant ex-American Idol finalist, La Toya London, who really can act). And though Celie eventually does find love, that lover proves as unreliable as she is intoxicating.

Big names lend a hand on Daughtry’s sophomore project

After spending the last few years hammering away to fans and the press that there’s a full band behind his namesake group, ‘American Idol’ season 5 veteran and singer-guitarist Chris Daughtry admittedly no longer has that chip on his shoulder.

‘I’ve just kind of stopped,’ laughed Daughtry, calling from Los Angeles. ‘People are either going to know it’s a band or not. And even the people who do know it’s a band still sometimes refer to it as Chris Daughtry coming to play tonight. It’s like, whatever. They already have their mindset with a specific name, and the fans know who we are. I think Daughtry suits us in the same vein as Bon Jovi suits them. For me it was just obvious to go with my last name for name recognition. Every job I ever had everybody called me by my last name, it’s what spawned the idea.’

  • webster

I don’t care much one way or the other about album covers, and while I get where Adam was going with this, I think there’s a few things that would have made it stronger – either more obviously tongue in cheek for the retro look (a glint of humor in his expression, for example), or more nod to the modern aspects of the album.

But, that said, I think it would be a really good idea to get some music leaking this week to balance the over focus on the album art in the media. Right now, they’ll talk about whatever Adam feeds them, and that’s a good position to be in. Feed them more music!

11 Most Insane ‘American Idol’ Album Covers Of All Time, Starring Jim Cantiello!

Those are a hoot. At least Adam’s cover is giving us an opportunity to visit all the worst lists.

I also saw this (but it’s just a blog):

Adam Lambert Wanted His Album Cover To Look Like That, Honest

Admit it, when you first saw the artwork you thought it was a hoax. You thought it was a hoax knocked up by a 12-year-old girl with a second-hand VHS copy of the 1986 Grace Jones movie Vamp and a Blingee account, didn’t you? You thought that not even Adam Lambert ‘“ the man who used American Idol to sing Ring Of Fire in the style of a creepy Middle-Eastern snake charmer and part-time date-rapist ‘“ would think of becoming a topless, blue-haired version of the Sarah Jessica Parker character from Flight Of The Navigator on the sleeve of his first album.

Okay, I’ll admit it. I’ve rolled my eyes at a lot of Idol album covers and thought others were bad ideas, but here Adam pulls a first and I totally thought the album cover was a hoax when I saw it. I thought it was proof that both his twitter and AO had been hacked. LOL.

Anyway, he just has to put out some good music and the general public will forget about the album cover (or begin to think it’s brilliant)

    New Archie blog!

So last Monday I spoke at the morning session for the Utah Women’s Conference. I was the speaker for the morning session, and Laura Bush was the speaker for the afternoon session. I was a little nervous to speak when I was trying to figure out what I should say, but the more I thought about it the more I surprisingly got excited to speak. I really had a great time getting to talk about what was on my mind and share it with all the ladies who came haha. I’m glad that Senator Orrin Hatch invited me to come, so thank you very much Senator! How many of you were able to make it to that conference, anyway? If any of you took notes I’d be really curious as to what was note-worthy I guess haha. My sister Claudia came and brought my friend Ashlee with her, and they took notes. It was really odd to think that my sister and friend were taking notes on what I was saying, but I thought that was really neat at the same time. So if there was anything you were able to learn from what I shared I’d love to hear what stood out to you!

Today I got a great workout in! But the bad thing is while I was running on the treadmill I did something to my back. It still doesn’t feel very good lol. During the rehearsals I just sat on the stool, which was really weird during Zero Gravity! I’m hoping that I can move around better tomorrow haha. Imagine me singing “Nothing brings me dooown, when you’re aroound” and I’m stuck on a stool. hahaha… It’s funny as long as it doesn’t actually happen lol. Well… it probably would be funny even if it did happen. But oh well. Anyway, I’m probably finished talking. Oh wait! Halloween is this weekend! If you guys have any cool costumes you should share! bwahahaha. I really don’t have anything in mind for myself costume-wise, but I guess we’ll see if I’m in the mood when the day comes closer. But all right, I’ll stop talking now and talk to you guys next week! Ciao.

I love Kelly. I wanna be her friend. No, more than that, I want DC to be her friend so she can rub off a bit (just a bit, not too much, since he doesn’t have KC’s leverage) of that fight-the-label-for-what-you-want attitude.

So anyway, People.com’s photo section has a link to celebrities in costumes from “Before They Were Stars”, and there’s a cute pic of Carrie in a bunny costume. They also included that pic of little DC in that mouse costume from AI. Funny thing is, I think Carrie’s pic is new, but I distinctly remember People had posted that exact same pic accompanied by the same quote from DC (about looking like he had to go to the bathroom) last year. I guess they sometimes recycle these things every year? Whatever, no complaints from me. He looks totally adorable, and his quote is still very funny.

What’s the deal with TFM? Is the music video before this Is It or it is just a trailer because when I went to see the film here, it was just a trailer.

It’s just new trailer with Adam’s music and name with the song/credits at the end. So no MV at all. So doubt there be any boost for the song. Which doesn’t surprise me, because I maintained that this song was designed to promote the movie, which is what it does and that will be it. Don’t know about all those supposed press releases saying the MV would be before TII. Maybe they were misunderstood.

It’s just new trailer with Adam’s music and name with the song/credits at the end. So no MV at all. So doubt there be any boost for the song. Which doesn’t surprise me, because I maintained that this song was designed to promote the movie, which is what it does and that will be it.

It’s probably better that they’re not focusing on TFM and it isn’t taking off like crazy, cuz that would just muddie the waters with Adam’s lead-off single set to be released next week. RCA’ll want Adam and radio DJs to concentrate radio interviews and whatnot on FYE to get radio to play it, not TFM. TFM being used to promote 2012 will probably just serve to increase the public’s exposure to the Adam Lambert name.

Now, I’m just wondering when they’re gonna use the TFM MV if they’re not putting it in the trailers. Wayne Isham and all those extras and green screens aren’t cheap. Maybe they’ll have new 2012 commercials that they’ll put out closer to the movie opening.

And in real news, apparently, he’s playing Norfolk on December 2nd. Is that the last day of the tour or do the NYE gigs count?

He goes to Virginia constantly, but never into the District. Are the clubs in the District thumbing their noses or are the DC folks just not trying? Or both? For heaven’s sake, GRO just played here, so I’m sure DC would be welcomed with open arms.

Oh I totally agree, and always thought that the stuff about him doing the MV or whatever, was more about boosting Adam as a person, like his Details cover stuff, and promoting the film. The lack of push to publicize the song by the label to radio, or with advertising supports that, and I agree, because they don’t want to muddy the waters.

Now, I’m just wondering when they’re gonna use the TFM MV if they’re not putting it in the trailers. Wayne Isham and all those extras and green screens aren’t cheap. Maybe they’ll have new 2012 commercials that they’ll put out closer to the movie opening.

I think it’s being on MySpace for free and part of the 2012 page maybe all that they wanted from that MV. As for green screens and extras not being cheap, well maybe not if done well, but with this MV, yeah, it kinda of was done on the cheap. Or at least it looked that way to me.

He goes to Virginia constantly, but never into the District. Are the clubs in the District thumbing their noses or are the DC folks just not trying? Or both? For heaven’s sake, GRO just played here, so I’m sure DC would be welcomed with open arms.

GRO played a teeny club that couldn’t meet Cook’s booking fee if their rent depended on it. The Birchmere could probably afford the band because a) their patrons are used to paying higher prices and b) they make money on the food sales.

Right now, the only in-District venues that could possibly handle Cook are the 9:30 and possibly the Warner Theatre. (The Black Cat is too insistently indie. DAR is possible if the next album does well, but I’d argue it’s too big for now.) 9:30 gets booked easily because it’s one of the best ticket-selling venues in the entire country. The Warner doesn’t advertise at all, so if it weren’t for me looking some tours up, I wouldn’t even have known that it features rock acts. The fact that he hasn’t played either doesn’t shock me.

This tour has not been a conspiracy against District residents. Playing the Birchmere is “playing DC” as far as most acts are concerned. (Seriously, it’s a cab ride or Zipcar rental from the Metro. Clubs on H St NE are less accessible.) And if the supposed new Fillmore ever gets off the ground in Silver Spring, playing there will be “playing DC” too.

And awww, KC. I kinda wonder how many A&R reps she’s gone through at this point.

  • ladymadonna

I believe there are still a few November/December dates being added, but based on the current confirmed schedule they will have played a total of 157 Declaration Tour shows since February 14th. This doesn’t count the USO tour to play for the troops in the middle east, or the Philippines trip with Archie, or any other private gigs, in-studio radio performances, or TV appearances. 2009 has been a busy, busy year for David Cook.

The Adam Lambert “false” debut album, Take One, set to be released 6 days before the official debut album, is now showing with a cover, on amazon.com. The label has used a fairly recent picture of Adam. That may confuse some uninformed buyers…

  • FifthHouseSun

Adam, himself, seemed to think that the TFM/2012 video was going to play before “This Is It”. He told MTV that at AMA interviews, as reported on their site.

His being invited to the premiere seemed logical as part of the Sony cross-promotional tie-in.

Either it’s happening later. Or something changed.

That something could include many things. Not the least of which is the alleged special effects in TFM vid look like they came from a video game that would have come with a Y2K warning sticker. It also gave away the ending. TFM video doesn’t really help the movie. “the making of” with more Adam footage will be an attraction for DVD sales.

Other change: TFM now on FYE. That move cannibalizes 2012 soundtrack sales, IMHO. As the main reason to buy 2012 soundtrack, for thousands of fans, was TFM. Who knows what the in-house promotional horse-trading was at Sony. Those on the film side care more about saving their expensive movie using TII than launching Adam’s global career.

I was at the Birchmere, thanks to some fellow DC fans I didn’t know well, but got to know that evening. I don’t drive, so Zipcars are not an option. And I would never have taken a cab to that venue. It’s not the getting there that’s the problem, it’s getting home. That venue is off-the-beaten track and the area was ill lit. I saw no cabs around. It would actually be kind of scary for a woman alone. You’d have to cross your fingers that you could call a cab and not be approached (or run down) while you’re standing out by the bushes at the end of their drive. Seriously.

Right now, the only in-District venues that could possibly handle Cook are the 9:30 and possibly the Warner Theatre.

I know about the 9:30 Club. I sent them a message asking if they could look into booking Cook. As for the Warner, I used to usher there. I didn’t think of it mostly because … I never think of it. I would say the Warner or DAR could be a possibility in the next tour.

Can’t listen at work, but I’m guessing Ruben since she hasn’t done anything with him? We know she worked with Daughtry. I also recently heard something about song called Stand? Supposedly, she recorded this with Carrie, quite possibly for AIEW…Has anyone heard about this? So intrigued! I do remember the “Angels” rumor back when Carnival Ride came out.

New album in 2010. Hmm, will she be “liberated” by 2012? Honestly, she just needs to pull an Alanis Feast on Scraps deal and that’ll solve her two album obligation. What? I just want Don’t, All I Know, Close Your Eyes studio versions! ;)

Most adults in the US have drivers’ licenses. Most people in the US have cell phones. I don’t recall the Birchmere ever forcing people out of the parking lot in order to wait for a cab. Their front entrance has floodlights. It’s not perfectly convenient, but I still say that many clubs IN DC are less accessible and more unnerving for people attending alone. Some people have had to drive over 300 miles to see ANY show on this tour, so the recurrent District complaints confuse me.

As for attending things alone in the District, I’ve done that. I’m a city person, grew up in a city and have no problems navigating them because public transportation is readily available. That being said, I don’t know where you’re getting this impression that there are all these complaints about DC not playing in the District. Other than one other comment by someone here, I think I’m the only one who ever mentions it. Why is that bothering you? DC has been to Virginia a number of times but not to the District at all. That’s my point. That maybe he could put us on one of his tour destinations.

Went to check out the Norfolk venue. Wow, it’s an arena!

Designed by the architectural team Moseley/Rosetti, one of the leading sports facility designers in the nation and a leading multidiscipline firm, the center is approximately 215,000 square feet. It features 7,319 fixed seats in the lower bowl, 862 upper club/priority seats and sixteen luxury box suites. Additional seating on the arena floor can take the capacity to 10,000 for such events as commencement and concerts.
    http://www.constantcenter.com/seating/charts/

I mean, maybe they’ll configure it half-house? I know they’ve been putting DC’s dates with The Script in a bunch of bigger theaters/smaller arenas in the ~3000-seat range, and I know he’s played to 7-9000 people crowds, but those were at state fairs and stuff. I see Kings Of Leon are playing there too :) . Anyway, this center sounds, as DC would say, “lofty”. I hope he sells great ;) . Gooo DC!

If you like pitching that was a game for you’ ¦ wasn’t a whole lot going on otherwise, lol!!

OMG, tierbee, that game was the most awesome thing ever! Chase Utley hit two homeruns, the first time a lefthander has done that against a lefthanded pitcher since none other than The Bambino, Babe Ruth, did it in 1928! And Arkansan Cliff Lee was like a ninja out there, fielding balls behind his back. David had to have loved that game (if he got to watch it).

I didn’t catch the pre-game show, but tonight they’re going to premiere that Alicia Keys/Jay-Z song (it got postponed yesterday), so maybe they’ll do David’s song another night? They ended the game with Pearl Jam (including a video of them) over the closing montage.

And again, my point is that as far as his booking team, the media, and the vast majority of fans are concerned, the fact that the venue was not actually inside the city limits does not mean that he didn’t play that market. So expecting another booking on this tour was not, and is not, very likely.

    Maybe next time.

You’ll have to let me I know if his song is ever played. I turned on the game for like five minutes, and in those five minutes, the Yankees earned a run. I quickly turned it off. (If I want my family to speak to me at X-mas, I’d better stay far away from World Series viewing.)

Why not? He played Bloomsburg twice — that great metropolis — and that’s the same place. Not a separate “state.” Besides, this is a highly congested area; playing the Birchmere, which is small, is not the end of tapping this market.

(Also GRO played the Birchmere and still managed to make it into the District. Wasn’t a big problem for them.)

I know you didn’t ask me this question as an Adam fan but I will answer it for you. I suppose Adam crossed the line with non fans when he sang “Ring of Fire”. I’m not sure why any of us care what his non fans think. They have already written him off. As for me, this is Adam’s career. Exactly. I’ve had this problem with the Birchmere, too. Very skeery trying to get out of that place when the show is over. I’ve gotten cabs there, but my experience is that some never show up, or don’t seem to want to come there, or know where it is … and I have a hard time telling them because I’m not from that neighborhood! (yeah, I know they have GPS and maps and all that, but I have not had good luck calling cabs from the Birchmere!)

Come to the 9:30, DC. Seems to me it would be a very good venue for him. A very Cookie-ish place, to me. I guess that’s the main reason I’d like to see him there. He doesn’t seem very “Birchmere” to me. All the sitting down, for one thing!

Well, technically the Yankees didn’t “earn” the run because their guy scored on a Jimmy Rollins error in the bottom of the ninth, but I’m not going to go all baseball geek on you. :-) But, I will definitely let you know if they play the song. Cook is a guy’s guy, and I’m guessing Phillies fans, in general, like him. I mean they used “Time of My Life” for a huge montage in Citizen’s Bank last year. And DC and John Kruk are mancrushing on each other all over the airwaves, LOL.

I don’t know for sure. But this article — From Stockton to the USO, Edman is go-to guy — says that this road-manager guy was working with Elliott in Japan and on the USO tour, and it seems to imply that he is about to continue working with him now … It’s unclear whether the article’s really saying that. it kind of says it, but in such a vague way that maybe they were just talking about the past work with EY.

Anyway, the guy is a tour manager — that’s his main competency. So I’m wishfully thinking that maybe they’re setting up a tour! (this is all putting two and two together and getting, maybe, eight, for me, though, lol). … I’m interested to know whether you read that article to mean that the guy is signing on with Elliott for work *after* the USO/Japan gig. ….

(And after the previously planned tour got canceled, I have heard Elliott say that, yes, he would be touring fairly soon with the new album …. So it’s not all my fantasy — he knows he needs to tour soon, it seems.)

Hey, I’m not totally ignorant. Somewhat, but not totally. I was at the game where the Nationals beat the Phils this September. (I think that was one of the handful of games the Nats won all season.) Plus, I attended some of the playoff games in the 80′s when the Phils won the World Series in the last century.

Thanks Lucy. I didn’t want to make this a private conversation. Elliott usually keeps a low profile so info about him is rare. I did read that he, Brandon Rogers and Danny Gokey were all at the TII premiere although I’m not sure they did the red carpet thing.

We don’t know that all of the full songs have been released to the media yet, do we? That would have to happen first, and it seems a little early to me — still more than two and a half weeks until the album’s released. Reviews tend to come out a little closer to the sales date, don’t they?

Q3, maybe you know the answer to this- i saw a page from what I assume is a trade magazine with an ad for a soundtrack song, and at the top of the page it says ” Going for AAA Adds (date)”

Do you know what ” AAA Adds” refers to?

  • tierbee

So expecting another booking on this tour was not, and is not, very likely. Maybe next time.

Yeeesh, I’m not expecting it… just said it would be nice if he’d play 9:30 Club. Birchmere was not the best venue for him, it’s cool that he played there but it was a weird fit for a rock show. But what’s wrong with wishing he’d come back and do 9:30 Club? Nobody’s having a fit about it and I didn’t twitter him and yell at him (though my brother does co-own a club in DC so I could bribe him with that… lol, nah, I’m not a big twitterer of celebrities). I am VERY grateful that he came close enough for me to see him so many times this year. But a girl can dream about just one more time!

LOL, Bootstar, I will concede the entertainment value of Lee’s casual catch on that first out and then his behind the back catch and throw to first base, but the best part of *that* one was the first baseman cracking up because Lee is so.damn.casual.

At least since they didn’t play David’s song… hubby isn’t onto me yet… Though in my defense, I watched pretty much the whole Yankees/Angels series and there were no Cookie crumbs in sight!

  • sma11ie

Carrie and David are both in this people thing on Halloween costumes. Cute. Carrie is # 1 and David is # 4. http://www.people.com/people/gallery/0,,20153916,00.html#20532374

Sad face. I posted that a while back and no one noticed… Maybe the fancy links were too much. Anyway, yeah, I was saying, I love that pic and quote of DC, but I’m pretty sure I remember they used the same pic and quote LAST YEAR. Hah, I guess People really liked it.

  • jersey

Yeah, I doubt many will review based on 30 second clips. Although girlygirl posted a link in the Kris snippet thread to an MTV “review”. The article is positive, but again, it’s based on 30 second clips.

Do you know what ‘ AAA Adds’ refers to?

AAA is a radio format. Adult Album Alternative. Think Jason Mraz and Kings of Leon and some quirky stuff. The song is being sent for adds in that format.

  • tierbee

AAA is a radio format. Adult Album Alternative.

Thanks, Kirsten – wasn’t sure what that was but it sounds like a format I’d like, lol.

  • 123abc456

Smallie I saw your original post after I posted it again and edited it. LOL
But now you have it up again. : )

  • Summer

Thanks Kirsten- so that would be radio adds? Interesting…
it looks like it is a page out of an online trade mag, and in the upper corner it says “click here to download” – bottom right says Hollywood Records and bottom left says Nick Bedding @ Disney.com with a phone number- do you have any idea what online mag this is? I am trying to find out how to download the song! It’s in a movie coming out in Dec, going for AAA ads Nov 9th.
Thanks so much for your help!

Sad face. I posted that a while back and no one noticed’ ¦

I noticed! I noticed! Me, me!!

I even went to see (cuz I adore that pic of DC, NGL) but I didn’t see his caption so I just took your word for it. :-) So cute, that boy.

Sorry I didn’t comment earlier or TY for the link. TY!

  • sma11ie

No worries, 123abc456 (haha, love typing your name), Carrie and David look adorable, so I didn’t mind looking at/commenting on it again ;) .

wereallinnocent, you’re welcome! The captions are on the right next to the photos.
    Carrie’s quote:

“I even slept in my bunny costume,” the country star says of her favorite furry Halloween costume, which she wore when she was 6.”

    David’s quote:

“What can I possibly say that hasn’t already been said about another mouse that apparently had to pee?” jokes the American Idol, here age 3 as a mouse in Blue Springs, Mo.

i saw a page from what I assume is a trade magazine with an ad for a soundtrack song, and at the top of the page it says ‘ Going for AAA Adds (date)”

Wait, TFM is going for adds on AAA? That’s….surprising and strange. I’d be shocked if it gained traction there, but wow, this should be very interesting to watch indeed.

ETA: Sorry, so the “soundtrack song” in question is not TFM or any other Idol-related song? Nevermind then. That just really confused me.

  • Kirsten

Hollywood Records and bottom left says Nick Bedding @ Disney.com

Hollywood Records is a division of Disney (and have artists like the “Plain White T’s”). Nick Bedding is the VP for promotions for Hollywood Records.

Do you have a name for the song or an artist? AllAccess is messed up for me right now, so I can’t check for adds on Nov 9th.

  • Summer

yeah, it’s a new song from Paul McCartney on the soundtrack for Everybody’s Fine- song is called ( I want to) Come Home- despite a million searches I cannot find the website this page came from! Its a full page, photo of Paul, full lyrics to the song, and the click to download banner. ( sorry this is so off topic!)

Maybe I read it wrong, but I thought that the post just meant that *some* soundtrack was going for adds at AAA, not the 2012 soundtrack….

    Which is it?

  • Kirsten

    Everybody’s Fine

I was wondering if it was the Miramax film (Disney took them over a few years ago).

I didn’t know McCa was on the soundtrack for that. Sorry, I don’t know what magazine you could be refering too. Was it a free download (sometimes they do that to promote songs/moves)?

  • weareallinnocent

LOL sma11ie! Thanks for the quote. I can’t believe I’ve never seen that before. Too funny. :-)

Don’t know if anyone’s interested, but I just heard LLYD for the first time on the radio. Houston’s Mix 96.5 has apparently added it. Two songs before that they played DC’s TOML. I can’t believe they still play it on a regular basis, but I heard it about a week ago too. Love me some Magic Rainbows.

  • suebrody

I feel stupid, and I should know this, but are there any recent reviews of LLWD?

Oh, er, um, GO PHILLIES!!! ;) (Who’s your Daddy? –Pedro Martinez)

It must be an internet mag, because it has the Click for download banner-
Someone posted it on their facebook page and that person doesn’t know where it originally came from. I really want to hear the song lol!
He played a little bit of it during soundcheck at his Fenway show this summer- Abe ( his drummer) said something like we should hear the recording- Paul said he’s not gonna play the full version for us!
The lyrics we heard are the same as the ones printed in this ad.

Squirrley, I haven’t thought of Grace Jones in years. I agree. Rhianna is resembling her on that album cover.

I was a HUGE Grace Jones fan. I just had to go back there via youtube. (gotta love that service) Grace Jones is my idea of camp and edgy and brilliant.

FridayB: YAY! I care! KHMX isn’t on the official adds list, so maybe they’re trying it out or will add officially this coming week.

OK, I know why I don’t listen to much radio. I just went to itunes to browse and 5 of the top ten singles belong to Taylor Swift. Number 11 is also Taylor Swift. Add another by Myley Cyrus and you have 7 of the top 11 itunes songs.. Yikes! Maybe Alison is the only one with a shot at commercial success – LOL. At least she’s the right demographic.

LOL I agree, only Taylor’s stuff just landed there, I think, because she released a deluxe of her latest and peeps are adding the tracks. But, still, I don’t find it very inviting.

On a similar note, I saw TII yesterday and stayed through all the credits. At the end when the theater ads started again, they were playing and talking up Taylor Swift! Talk about a jolt after all the incredible MJ I’d just watched and heard!! (shudder)

Oh, and Kelly, love ya, honey, really, I do’ ¦but calling the label ‘a bunch of assholes’ again?

Really? Oy, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly. Yes, we get it, you want to be all indie and crap, but dude, it’s not there yet.

she’s on her 4th album and theyre still making her do teeny bopper, catchy, “radio-friendly” music. it’s obvious she’s much more than that. more power to her if she wants to piss them off. if she can’t leave RCA for another 2 albums and they still won’t give her any artistic licenses, who cares? the faster she can get out of their clutches, the more time she can devote to doing the blues-y album she’s been yearning to do.

  • Kirsten

Kirsten: Did you ever weigh in on the adds this week (Kris 15, Allison 2). I’m especially interested in your thoughts on Allison’s adds.

Sorry, I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to the adds this week. Kris got a decent number. Hopefully, he can keep that up. At his current rate of increase, he’s set to do quite well on HAC. He’s kind of stalling in Pop (you aren’t going to get to Top 10 with 200 spincrease a week in Pop, but you can in HAC. Sometimes, if you get a big HAC hit, you can parlay that into a Pop hit). There is a big break in the HAC spin chart around Top 20 so expect it to take a while for him to break in there.

Allison. OMG. I’ve been watching the spincount on that one and it has no traction at all. There test dropping of her song on iTunes didn’t yield fantastic results either (even if it was an unintentional drop) and they haven’t re-released her song there yet either. Do we have a list for her promo, yet?

I don’t know what they are doing. They need to do something. I suspect that they are going to defer this album until after Christmas. Yes, it means saying goodbye to the Christmas sales, but how is she going to get much sales if her name isn’t out there at all? Better to try to get some momentum in the less crowded January/February release period.

Still, it’s moving some units on Amazon, so I don’t know. Some kind of PR has to kick in soon. I didn’t see any reports of her doing radio interviews, so that makes the add date seem fishy (like they’ve already decided to punt on the pre-Christmas release). They’ve gotten her some great collaborators and an awesome cover, so clearly they are invested in her (so they could have gotten her radio interviews if they wanted to push the song now).

Have we heard if her track listing has been picked? Remember we heard a lot of buzz around this time last week’s for Adam’s and she releases a week later, so we should have a track listing for her soon.

Still, she’s practicing with the band and you don’t do that unless you are about to do promo. She didn’t get any Jingle Jams, though, did she?

This is all speculation. Walmart is usually the first to the post with the update on the release date. They’ll probably be the canary in the coal mine if it happens.

  • cilady

Eileen99: Actually, I also heard the KRBE people talking about LLYD yesterday morning, but they only played a snippet, not the whole song. I think they did say they would be playing it though.

I think she has been scheduled to do one in Kansas City? Not sure of the location but I am sure that she is going to do at least one this winter.

Paula, just take the job and stop the cat and mouse game. It’s gotten old.

Jim Cantiello, you are priceless and precious. I seriously laughed at all those bad album cover remakes. The Kelly Clarkson should be your Halloween costume. Quite frightening. The Kat McPhee … it was just so YOU! I’ll just giggle quietly about the rest. I don’t want to offend anyone.

I loved many of the comments on the EW article about the leaked snippets from Kris Allen – the album.

From a link to TMZ garbage. I NEVER want to be cursed with fame or infamy. I hate the poparazzi (sp?), their sense of entitlement, their ignorance and arrogance, and how they intrude on people’s daily lives.

  • Mary102

Kirsten - thanks for your analysis! It’s always welcome!

I’m with ya on the Allison confusion. Makes no sense at all. Obviously FIBOU will go nowhere if no push is made for it to actually GO anywhere – so why invest the money in the album cover, collaborations, etc. and then do nothing to help the song? So don’t get that. The only thing I can think of is that maybe Jive had to figure out how best to spend their money on the pre-Thanksgiving albums and artists, and they figured it would make more sense to push her’s back to where it is less cluttered, and they won’t have to spend as much on her PR to still move some units. Maybe. IDK.

  • cilady

I think Allison had bad luck for her single to impact radio on a week where several big names were also impacting. Timbaland, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Leighton Meister (who had a hit with Good Girls Gone Bad) and probably more had singles waiting to be added.

I think that Jive should not give up on the single and wait until December or even January and try again. I think it will have a much better chance on doing something in radio once it’s not competing against everyone releasing an album in November.

I think FIBOU is great and, if given the chance, will be a hit for her.

  • Truthiness

Kirsten you are not reassuring me about Allison. But yeah, that’s about what I thought too, and yeah, WTF are they doing with her? I do seem to recall she does have some ball type performances lined up, but can’t recall if that’s accurate and when.

But I agree they need to start doing something for her now, because not surprisingly to me, she’s not getting traction on this song that no one knows about and that has been so screwy with it’s release dates and whatever. I would also add in addition to the kick ass cover and names working with her, her rehearsing with the band, making a music video, they also did a Spanish version of FIBOU, so it seems like they are investing in her. But what the heck is the point of all of that if they aren’t going to grow her? get her name out there, get some traction with those spins.

Very frustrating to this Allison fan. grrrr.

  • Kirsten

That’s not bad luck, that’s bad planning. They could have moved the add date when they saw all those biggies adding (and this time of year, this is just what happens because there are so many big albums dropping in Q4. There is a lot of jockeying for position).

I think that Jive should not give up on the single and wait until December or even January and try again. I think it will have a much better chance on doing something in radio once it’s not competing against everyone releasing an album in November.

I don’t think they will give up and I think they will try again if it doesn’t catch (kind of like Jason Castro’s team sending his song for re-adds and pushing the album into the new year).

There may even be a strategy at work here. Perhaps they never intended on dropping before Christmas, but wanted her buzz linked with the other two so that she doesn’t get forgotten. Then they can tie her in with the new season of Idol in the new year and get her a bigger launch. Allison didn’t move as many singles as the others did in the Post-finale week, so they may be taking a more nurturing attitude with her.

Please don’t let anybody think that I’m being negative about Allison. I think she’s great, but one doesn’t have to follow the same carbon-copy strategy for everybody. Nurturing is a good thing. Jive appears to be very much interested in her long term development.

  • jpfan

Allison’s slow start is a little worrying. I think she’s getting overshadowed by Adam/Kris and all the other stuff coming out around the holidays. They spent $ on top producers/songwriters to I’m not sure what’s going on. Maybe they’ll postpone her album. Not a bad idea.

  • weareallinnocent

I don’t believe Allison’s single is available anywhere, is it? I can’t find it on Amazon at all now. Recently I thought I saw it to preview but you could not buy. Now I can’t even find it.

Anyway, I did see an ad for a Jingle Ball at a casino in Tunica MS, but that’s the only one I’ve heard about. She’ll be fine. But I do wonder about that single drop/non-drop. Makes me wonder whether there were some legal rights not yet tied up or something. Weird.

  • BootStar

Allison’s song was actually available for sale on iTunes for a while and then “poof” (gone!). NGL, I didn’t really care for it, but I was pissed that they pulled it. Or was it leaked by mistake? My kid LOVED her and I liked her a lot too.

Oh, er, um, GO PHILLIES!!! (Who’s your Daddy? ‘“Pedro Martinez)

Oh, sue, you rock! (And the BoSox are my favorite AL team!)

  • NewAIFan_S8

I still think that they chose the wrong song for Allison’s single. If there is anything with a more rock sound, they should release that instead. Right now there is so much out there that sounds just like FIBOU, why would radio play it instead of the Miley Cyrus songs that it resembles so much? (and which are known quantities)

  • cilady

I think the big producers/songwriters is more a testament to her great A&R representative who has connections from working with big stars in the past. I am not totally sure of this but A&R people aren’t the ones in charge of appearances and promo right?

  • Eileen99

Thanks, Kirsten – yeah, I’ve been watching spins/adds for Allison as well, and I was really dismayed to see only the 2 adds this week. I haven’t seen or heard of any PR from her – usually if something comes up for her, somebody at ONTD_AI is all over it. I’ve seen only one Jingle Ball – Memphis, I believe? Not sure – I don’t follow her that closely, but I certainly like her well enough to wish the best for the single/album and to follow what’s happening with FIBOU.

I agree LLWD is picking up a lot of momentum on HAC right now – I was a little surprised it didn’t move up a spot this morning. Do you know what the discrepancy is between the Mediabase spin chart and the AllAccess chart? There was a pretty big difference this morning between the two spin counts, which I guess is why I was surprised LLWD didn’t move up at least a notch. The adds are continuing on Top 40 so we’ll how that goes.

  • Tess

I still think that the delay for Allison is her age and the fact that she won’t be 18 until the spring. If I recall correctly the Disney kids do most of their promo in the summer so that it doesn’t interfere with the child labor laws.

Archie was lucky last year because he turned 18 in December and he was able to tour in the winter…so there wasn’t a big lag time between album and touring to promote it.

Since Allison is still in school (whether tutored or not) she is really restricted as to when she can perform. Holidays and weekends are fine…but midweek shows become problematic. I don’t know when the jingle jams are scheduled but she probably has to rely on weekend shows. I believe California law allows her only to “work” 4 hours a day and there is a weekly limit not counting weekends.

So, I too think that her album and the big promo may be held up for awhile. Now if Jive can figure out a way to circumvent State laws she may show up earlier. If I’m “all wet” about this, please let me know.

  • ilovekrisallen39

Yeah Allison is doing the one in tennessee. Am worried alittle about her two. I was lucky and got to buy the single before it was pulled and am liking it alot. Not in love with it thou. And what happened to the Allison reviews for her songs that Lynsday Parker said she was going to post this week. I think last night Allison said she was going to have a tweeter party tonight maybe if she does well get some info from her. I notice that at amazon she’s anywere from high 140′s too sometimes being in the low 100′s. Kris is really starting to do better at amazon last I checked he was around 43 buy haven’t check in the last couple of hours.

  • Tess

Since I can’t edit, I’ll also say that Jordin got her high school equivalency early and I don’t think the child labor laws are as restrictive in Arizona, her official residency.

From what I know Archie hasn’t finished his schooling due to his schedule. If he has…Fantastic! And Allison has said she doesn’t want a certificate…she wants to officially graduate.

  • Kirsten

Do you know what the discrepancy is between the Mediabase spin chart and the AllAccess chart?

AllAccess charts are Mediabase charts. The QuickCut data shows all monitored spins, while the default AllAccess chart is the Published one (you can change that to be “all stations” in the US (really, just the ones they monitor)).

Mediabase does not monitor all stations in the US, so they create a basket of stations that reperesent all the stations. The difference in spins you are seeing are from stations not in the basket (monitored stations that are not part of the published charts). There can be differences in rankings between the two, but the other songs are probably getting spins on the unpublished statios as well.

The competing radio monitoring company, BDS (owned by Nielsen and used for the Billboard charts) does the same sort of thing.

  • Eileen99

Thanks, Kirsten – I thought it would be a sampling issue. I appreciate the clarity.

  • Brisblondie

Thanks for posting the video of David Cook on the set of EM:HE skipping backwards. I haven’t seen it yet, but will as soon as I get home. hee!

I haven’t seen anyone mention that Adam was talked about for a while on Kidd Kraddick’s show this morning. They were talking about the album cover, both insults (why is Liza Minelli on the cover? He looks like a girl, it’s ugly, it’s cheesy, etc) and praises (Kidd liked that he was letting his “freak flag” fly and respected him for that). Kidd also said that he has heard 3 songs off the record and seemed to like them. He also said he had heard that there were a few “broadwayesque” songs on the record, and that he prefers when Adam rocks out to the poppier stuff. He played a snippet of TFM and Sweet Child o Mine and talked about his amazing voice and that he seems to be channeling Freddie Mercury on the record vocally and was complimentary about that. Kelly thought that was “unoriginal”. JC seemed to like Adam a lot. They mentioned Kris and his record coming up and how he is a polar opposite artis to Adam’s OTTness, being very organic and low key. Not that this was bad or good, just that two very different artists came from AI, which is a good thing according to them. They talked about hearing that Kris was a super nice guy, too. Kelly Raspberry said she would probably be more likely to buy Kris’s album than Adam’s OTT stuff. Big Al had no comment on anything. They also seemed to have all their facts wrong. Kidd said Adam had been #1 in preorders for 3 weeks and still is, on Amazon.com. He also said Adam’s cd was dropping on Nov 3 and Kris’s a week later. Then Kelly said that was wrong -Kris was first and then Adam and Allison were both a week later. LOL. Then someone looked it up and they gave the right dates for both Kris and Adam, but were confused about Allison. I’m totally paraphrasing, but I think that was the basic info. They seemed to like both Adam and Kris.

  • erinnthered

Eileen99: Actually, I also heard the KRBE people talking about LLYD yesterday morning, but they only played a snippet, not the whole song. I think they did say they would be playing it though.

KRBE added the song to their regular playlist two weeks ago.

I think I might have an answer to this discrepancy.

KRBE is one of the few big boys left that has never been owned by Clear Channel. It’s my hometown top 40, and I’ve known people with the station off and on. They’ve always been pretty old school. When they add a song it’s always to the late night/ off hours to see the reaction, and then they add it to morning/ prime time. Many times they’ll have the morning or drive time djs say something about how they’re going to start playing a song, when in truth they’ve been playing it for weeks in the late night. I actually heard Live Like We’re Dying on the radio my last night in Houston – at around midnight.

In other words, this is a good sign for Kris. When KRBE drops you into the prime radio shows, the spins increase drastically. I’m not sure it can be extrapolated to other large stations, especially those on the Clear Channel model, but there you go.

I’m sorry to hear about Allison’s poor adds, but I can’t say I’m surprised. It isn’t a strong song, so it’ll take more to push. I hope they do put her off a bit to give her distance. I don’t want her first weeks sales to be hurt by people who are tapped out economically from buying Kris and/ or Adam plus the myriad of other major releases hitting in those few weeks.

Also, I love Jim Cantiello. Just brilliant! Now that’s good camp!

Glad to hear Mia had positive reasons for leaving SYTYCD. I wish her the best, and look forward to her projects.

I hope Kelly never stops being herself…and where do I find this Black Keys cover? and the White stripes cover while we’re at it…off to YT…

  • Tess

who in the world is Kidd Kraddick?

  • Brisblondie

Kidd Kraddick is a radio dj that has a syndicated show that is played on about 40 markets (give or take) a day. His home station is Kiss FM in Dallas (CHR/Top 40) and it’s in the 5th largest market in the U.S. for audience impressions.

Also, getting spins on KRBE in Houston is a HUGE deal. That’s the 6th largest market in the U.S. or do I have them backwards. No matter. Both are biggies.

DCO has taught me well. :)

  • cookbunny

Just FYI about Allison’s Jingle Ball appearance, in case there was any confusion…

If you look at a map, Memphis is way down in the SW corner of Tennessee, practically bleeding over into Mississippi and Arkansas (there’s an old joke, “what are the two biggest cities in Mississippi? Memphis and New Orleans!” Anyway…). Tunica, MS is a MAJOR casino area and just minutes from Memphis (no casinos in Tennessee, just the lottery). A lot of Memphis radio stations will do events at the casinos since the area is part of that radio market. So, while Alison is doing a Memphis, TN radio station’s Jingle Ball, it will ACTUALLY be just a few miles from Memphis, in Mississippi. Capiche?

  • Eileen99

Erin: Thanks – good scoop. Sounds promising.

  • Truthiness

They mentioned Kris and his record coming up and how he is a polar opposite artis to Adam’s OTTness, being very organic and low key.

Well I think Kris’s album will be more organic and less OTT than Adam’s album, but I suspect that won’t be hard. But I don’t think, from what I heard on the clips, that this album will be characterized as organic, either generally or like the Kris from the show. The album I heard, is too processed to have the vibe. YMMV.

But I liked that they liked both Kris and Adam, depite (rightly) bashing the cover and thank goodness! for recognizing that they are very different artists and that’s a cool thing and both styles have their audiences and can both be artistically valid. Worred about those “Broadwayesque” numbers. I think they’re probably more the Cavallo produced stuff, because after TfM, I’m on the side of those Cooks fans that says he sucks.

I’m not too worried about Allison. Maybe they’re just waiting until November to start pushing her single. I think things will pick up for her in the next couple of weeks.

Looked at agains at this from Kidd quote

He also said he had heard that there were a few ‘broadwayesque’ songs on the record, and that he prefers when Adam rocks out to the poppier stuff.

How is poppier Broadwayesque? To me those are not the same things, and he said he had heard they were on there, not that he heard them and that he thought they were Broadwayesque/poppy. Well that reassures me a bit. We’ll see of course, but maybe it won’t be dire.

I mean I like Broadway, but Adam needs not to do that on his first album.

  • weareallinnocent

So, while Alison is doing a Memphis, TN radio station’s Jingle Ball, it will ACTUALLY be just a few miles from Memphis, in Mississippi.

Yes, thank you, cookbunny. It is a Memphis station having a jingle ball in Tunica, which can be anywhere from 30 to 50 or so miles from Memphis depending on where you are in Memphis. :-)

Worred about those ‘Broadwayesque’ numbers. I think they’re probably more the Cavallo produced stuff

It’s hard to know what they mean by this, really. It could be similar to Lyndsey Parker’s comment about “Rocky Horror” meets Robbie Williams on “For Your Entertainment.” But to me, the Muse song “Soaked” sounds dramatic and orchestral too, so who knows. Plus, I think given his history and the lazy “theatrical” commentary we’ve heard ad nauseam, we’d hear that type of opinion no matter what Adam does.

P.S. I’m not one of those Cook fans who believes Rob Cavallo sucks, but then, I’m also a big fan of Green Day, whose Cavallo produced album won a Grammy. Come to think of it though, they did recently make that album a musical. Ummm. Heh. :-)

I’m always a bit leary about anything a DJ has to say about anybody. Personally I don’t give them much cred in talking about music for anyone. Not just Kris or Adam. Personally, on the food chain radio DJs rank just above horny toads and way below possom.

  • erinnthered

I actually like the Rhianna cover. VERY Grace Jones. I feel like I know what she’s going for.

Now I have that Strangé scene in Boomerang in my head…ETA: “This is the ESSENCE of Sex!” lol

Hope this isn’t a repeat but (Kidd Kraddick )KISS 106.1 FM in Dallas (homebase) was the DJ who had the Lady Gaga interview this week. I thought he seemed very interested in the Adam album/music during the interview and his show is gynormous with regard to the number of people it reaches.

From the ones I’ve met? With one exception (the awesome Maria Todd, now doing morning radio on SF’s 99.7FM) I would totally agree.

Allison is in the top 100 on Amazon at #81
Kris is up to # 39
    Adam is # 3

Here is a link to CA labor laws in regards to minors. Pay attention to minors between the ages of 15 and 18, particularly regarding entertainment. They are really not that restrictive.

    http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=lab&group=01001-02000&file=1390-1399

Isn’t Allison primarily home-schooled and close to being finished? That allows for even more leeway.

I don’t know what the deal is with her single and album. It seems to be on track, just having fits and starts. I just think there is some rethinking and retooling going on. She is very young and there is should be no rush to push her out the door. Timing is everything.

Keep in mind she wasn’t the winner or 2nd place. It was awesome and pretty unprecedented that she got signed and into the recording studio so quickly.

I have no worries for Allison, even if I’m not overly fond of that first song.

  • Kirsten

CAN NOT WAIT FOR ADAM’S REKKID TO DROP!

When did spelling things wrong become so cool? It takes as many letters to type “record” as it does “rekkid” (and the word completion program will probably help you out when you spell the word corectly).

I’m a terrible speller, but I’ve got to assume this dude knows how to spell “record” since he produces the darn things and it’s a pretty simple word.

Sorry, pet peeve. I can’t imagine how much it bugs people who can spell well.

Now, just wait, we’ll find out that the there is a track on the album called “Rekkid” and I’ll feel like an idiot.

  • Cate

Sorry, pet peeve. I can’t imagine how much it bugs people who can spell well.

I know what you mean. “Kewl” really bugs me, too.

  • weareallinnocent

LOL Kirsten. I’m an ok speller, and I’m ok with it. But I’m easy.

Seriously, I think it’s an attempt at producing sounds with typed words. Phonetic spelling, if you will. But, I have to say, I know very few people who pronounce record that way. :-) Nekkid, yes. Rekkid, no, not really. Hee…

Then again, it may be easier to text. :-)

  • JohnM

Kirsten: When did spelling things wrong become so cool? It takes as many letters to type ‘record’ as it does ‘rekkid’

Why do you assume that he meant “record”? Maybe he meant “wrecked”… although that in turn opens a grammatical rat’s nest — “Cannot wait for Adam’s wrecked to drop”… ;-)

(and the word completion program will probably help you out when you spell the word corectly).

… or when you spell the word “correctly”… ;-)

  • suebrody

I just want tweets. Twitter ain’t, oops, isn’t the MLA Guide. The more love Adam gets, the better, IMO. I think it’s about time for some leakage. Damn, Adam’s team at RCA is *good*!!!!

LOL, I agree with the incorrect spelling pet peeve. It’s one thing to use acronyms, but if you’re going to type out the word, spell it correctly! My kids are not great spellers – internet spelling does not help!

I was in a hurry when I wrote that sentence you pulled that from, sorry! What I meant was…he said he heard several songs and Adam seems to be channeling what Freddie Mercury would be doing now. Then he said in he preferred when Adam rocks out opposed to more poppy songs. And in a seperate comment he said something either earlier or later in the conversation about hearing that there were some “broadwayesque” type songs on the record also. I think he used the number 3 in regards to that comment.

    I hope that’s clearer. :)

Also, I agree with the general idea that dj’s are often rude and obnoxious and don’t do it for the music anymore. I would argue though that Kidd is a little different than most of those types – he’s more like a mini Ryan Seacrest.

I can’t go on my nieces and nephew’s my space pages because they spell everything in that crazy ‘slang’ spelling whatever it is and it can drive me bonkers trying to figure out what they are saying. I guess it’s kewl … LOL

On the subject of Allison’s “rollout” etc.:

No, she isn’t homeschooled, although her situation is similar to that — she’s tutored under the umbrella of a California public school independent study program. Not sure when she expects to finish, but I think she was ahead of her age-mates over the summer, which would suggest that she’ll be done sometime before next spring.

As I said the other day when this labor law thing came up, I don’t think that’s an issue at all. As one example, the Jonas Brothers have been wildly busy for years, with one of them still a minor and at least two of them having been minors during their reign of fame. So I think it can be managed just fine.

About her single release, Amazon still shows her release date as November 3. It’s been that way for, I think, a couple of weeks now.

So far we know she has the one jingle ball near Memphis on December 4, and that’s it for promo, but I’d imagine there will be more appearances scheduled pretty soon, given that they’re in rehearsals. I don’t know if Jive is being disorganized with her or not, but I have no problem believing that they’re simply taking a slow-burn approach with her and not focusing on getting good opening sales. I certainly haven’t expected good opening sales — in fact, I expect just the opposite. Well, I expected her to get booted off the show sooner than she did, and I expected her to get passed over for a record contract, so I’ve got a pretty good track record with better-than-expected results for her! Anyway, while I’m an off-the-deep-end Allison fan and want her to do very well, I’m not going to worry at this point. My natural inclination is to assume that she’s going to start very slowly and build, and that’d be fine with me. My only hope is that she builds enough to turn a profit and get a second album.

    Adam debuts single tom morn

Gonn be on Seacrest tommorow morning to debut single “For Your Entertainment” on the radio!

  • Tess

I stand somewhat corrected on the California Child Labor Laws but I don’t want to see Allison miss out on the chance for her to walk with her classmates. She has said that is pretty important to her.

Also, people on this blog do spell very well and are pretty adept at putting sentences together. But I think Twitter and texting is a whole different world…and why should peeps have to worry about being grammatically correct while social networking.

Personally, and I am sure I am odd person out, I think rad spelling makes a word STANDOUT and helps enforce the nuance a writer is trying to make. Same with punctuation (!!!!) It isn’t like these people aren’t educated. I think they are having fun and I hope that is what twitter is all about. ’cause I don’t think ya can say much in so few characters.
