Jessica Sanchez and David Foster perform at the Carousel of Hope Ball.

Jessica Sanchez and David Foster performed last night at the Carousel of Hope Ball to benefit research and treatment for childhood diabetes.  The event honored actor George Clooney. She sang “And I Am Telling You” and also performed a duet with Babyface.

American Idol producers, Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick opened a new winery. To celebrate, they threw a party. Haley Reinhart and Kris Allen performed! Check out this photo from the event.

Adam Lambert On Queen, Trespassing – More recently, he has eschewed the glam-rock label and has moved sonically into new genres. And even though he has recently filled the shoes of the former lead singer of Queen through a handful of dates this summer — billed as Queen + Adam Lambert — he is definitely his own man. His show at the Arizona State Fair Wednesday night is a testament to that. Energetic, powerful and engaged, Lambert engaged the crowd in a rock and roll glamour show largely unseen in the contemporary landscape. His new album, Trespassing, was featured, but his energy onstage is as palpable as his incredible vocal range that has been praised across all continents. About an hour before he took to the stage at Veterans Memorial Coliseum Wednesday night, he graciously sat down with some members of the Valley media, including Modern Times Magazine. – Read more at Modern Times Magazine

‘American Idol’ Alum Kristy Lee Cook on Simon Cowell: ‘He Doesn’t Know Anything About Being on Stage’ (Q&A) – For American Idol season seven alum Kristy Lee Cook, the road to a hit song may well have started in the jungles of Vietnam years before she was born. Cook’s new single, “Airborne Ranger Infantry,” the first release with her new label, Broken Bow Records, was inspired by her father, Larry, who served during the extraction period after the Vietnam War. To cope with the realities of war, the elder Cook penned several poems about his experiences. “My parents met in the army, and my dad is a poetic guy, and his way of expressing himself is through poems,” the 28-year old Oregon native tells The Hollywood Reporter’s Idol Worship. “He’s also like Rambo. I wouldn’t have any idea of that softer side of him if it hadn’t been for those poems.” – Read more at Hollywood Reporter

    So far we have:

    November: 2 South Africa concerts
    December: China(confirmed?) & Bali, Indonesia
    February: 5 Japan Concerts

and I believed he has some Jingle balls too in November or December. not so busy;)

To Gian: Dude, I have read an article about Adam on one Indian news paper/mags. And recently I saw an advertisement on one Dubai channel using Adam’s Feeling Good for their Movies of the month promo. I think AXN Asia was using Pop that Lock and Shady for their Promos too and Poland uses Trespassing for same reason. Good promos I must say:)

I think his label/mngt will concentrate internationally this time around.

Wow! Jessica meeting Smokey Robinson is beyond amazing for her.And her caption on Instagram Photo “This man made my whole year!!! Such a big inspiration to me!! ” in-tells that she might have made some really positive connections with him. It seems that partnership with David Correy is paying off dearly. Happy for her

It’s not that Home is moving up. It’s that songs, ones without radio play, are moving out of the top 10. There have been several Taylor Swift songs and an Adele song that took up 3 or 4 slots in the top 10 over the past couple of weeks. Even a Kelly Clarkson song took one of those slots for a few days.

As those songs move down the chart, the others climb back up. Home hasn’t jumped because of any type of untelevised performances.

Came across a pretty nice review for Scotty’s album, for those interested. ;) http://voices.yahoo.com/album-review-christmas-scotty-mccreery-11825836.html?cat=33

Another one of the many reasons why I love this man so much is his neverending support of other artists.

  • jpfan2

Taylor Swift’s songs are taking over iTunes but Home is the top 10 for non-Taylor songs. If that means anything. ;0  What matters is that Home continues to sell in the neighborhood of 70-90K downloads a week.

Next milestone for the song is triple platinum! Including last week’s sales I estimate the song is at about 2,075,000 downloads sold.

  • justmefornow

LOL. Thanks for that link! $10,000 fee for a sixth place finisher from 2003?!
That’s one good laugh for a Monday morning!!

  • jpfan2

That 6th place Idol finisher should think about the Asian market. Jessica Sanchez, Adam, Kris,  Cook and Archie all seem to be thriving there!

  • MellyPer1692

I think the Phillipines and Singapore love their Idols. Hope Adam plans some concerts there :). Don’t see too many Idols in Japan or Indonesia yet, but we’ll see.

Is Kris doing stuff in Asia?

  • justmefornow

I didn’t even know who half the people were on that list, lol.
But more power to them if they can get those ridiculous fees in the Asian market, because they certainly couldn’t in the US.

Hmm, considering the year Jessica has had what could Smokey have done or said to her to “make her whole year?” Lol.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Thanks for posting all of those tour dates. Cool to see how well Adam’s international career is developing.

New story about Adam’s New Year’s Eve performance in Bali:

  • springboard2

Are they radio concerts? The translation indicates that four of them are sponsored by radio or broadcasting organizations.

  • MellyPer1692

No, they are not radio concerts like we have here. The Japan and South Africa concerts have radio and other corporate sponsorship, however these are solo Adam concerts just like he had during GNT.

  • girlygirltoo

Haven’t heard anything about Kris going to Asia, but he should — Better With You is #11 on the overall Itunes chart in the Philippines right now, and his concerts when he went over there a couple of years ago drew really well.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/PVEFG2TOUIXSROKUSO2O2DOWWE Taylor

Adam is thriving in parts of Asia other than the usual Idol land of the Phillippines and Singapore. Those areas are a hot spot for many of the past Idols. Jessica is doing extremely well in the Phillippines by securing several high dollar product endorsements. This area will be a huge support to her as far as endorsements and touring.

Adam has been able to break into areas outside of the usual Phillippines/Singapore Idol areas such as Japan, Indonesia and China. Of course, there is also Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, parts of Europe and even South America that Adam can draw from. He has all of these areas outside of the US as far as touring opportunities, music and merchandise sales, corporate events and various endorsements.

  • mmb

David Cook did a show/promo in Indonesia(Jakarta) relatively recently.  But it is true that Adam has branched beyond the typical Idol strongholds of Singapore and the Phillipines into Japan, China, Maylaysia..surprised he hasn’t gone to Korea yet

  • TackyZacky

I don’t understand how David Foster can just take Jessica under his wing without encroaching on the commitment Jessica’s may have with both the AI franchise and her record label Interscope. Is this arrangement even allowed??
