My problem were the posters who were attempting to shut down conversations about anyone else. I run an Idol blog, both Daughtry and Carrie were nominated for awards. Discussion about whether Kris would be asked to present was relevant.

The problem is that, perhaps inadvertantly, you specifically said that discussing other American Idols such as DAUGHTRY, Barbie Idol, and the kid who won this year was on topic in a thread that was about an interview with Mr. Lambert. You can imagine that, having been admonished regarding the importance of staying narrowly on topic in each thread, your invitation to discuss other Idols in that thread, regarding an interview that didn’t even mention other Idols, produced a WTF? reaction.

I think that Mr. Lambert’s fans here are quite conscientious in not bringing Lambert into threads focused on other Idols. We are sometimes puzzled by the opposite occuring with some regularity, i.e. other Idols being introduced into specific Lambert threads by fans of those other Idols.

And it really was ‘Adam’s day’  around these parts. I think that four dedicated threads and discussion in the headline thread warrants an ‘Adam’s day’  expression.

There isn’t any “Adam day,” here (though I’m sure some non-Adam fans feel that it is made to be one every day) and there shouldn’t be. Just because there is a lot of news about one person, doesn’t make it their day, nor should it. They are still subject to being rightly questioned or criticized or just not liked, by others. This isn’t a fan blog of any one fan, but of the show.

Is that why MJ said ‘I would pee my pants laughing.’ ?

Not so much a fan in another camp as someone who has to read every one of these comments every single day. Covergate is the never-ending controversy I never totally got.

Well I thought it would have been funny, and I’m an Adam stan who hated that “reporter,” as well and thought that Kris’s choosing a cover as his first single was also funny. What can I say? I find it all pretty ridiculous on all sides, and therefore amusing. For me, if you can’t laugh at things, and that includes at yourself/your side, than sorry about your life.

I did not like that, the guys voice was annoying.

I don’t groove with the singing either, but I’ve always liked this song.

And I would love a track like this for Adam. Heavy guitar, probably with more electronica production than The Darkness use.

YES! I have always like this song as well. It would be ripe if there were a couple of tracks as you have described.

There are fanwars over stupid things. Adam kisses his boyfriend. Drake wears tank tops. Kris wears plaid. Sometimes Kris wears tank tops.Adam has bad skin. Kris has big hips. Adam sometimes has very strange hair. Kris has a bald spot. Adam had a picture that leaked and was discussed completely. Weeks later it becomes a headline again and people pile on. Kris sings a cover and it is discussed completely. Weeks later it is still being commented on. Adam might do a cover and people are thrilled and/or peeing. I don’t know if it’s going to stop.

After reading the above post it occurred to me that the only way to truly end the fanwars is to somehow create a hybrid of these two guys through some type of wizardry or alchemy. This hybrid model would have the perfect skin of Kris and the lush hair of Adam; the instrumental ability of Kris and the vocal range of Adam; the fashion sense of Adam and the ability to look good in a tank top (see Kris’s biceps) without actually wearing the tank top itself. Personality would be a combo of the laidback vibe and bubbly enthusiasm. This model would, of course, be bi-sexual.

Just a thought. Eh, maybe not.

Kris and Adam (who don’t mind being called Kradam) call Katie and Drake “Kake”. I”m pretty sure it was from one of Adam’s Twitter parties where he was asked if he minds the Kradam title.

This brings me to the part that’s been worrying me. Kris has said that ‘they’ chose LLYD early on. For me, it’s not a big leap to think that ‘they’  includes Adam. I can’t believe that Adam, if he knew, would put Kris in the predicament of singing a cover that sounds identical to the original. I want to think he didn’t know and Kris didn’t know.

Even if Adam heard Kris’s LLYD, he would not advise Kris one way or other to release it as his debut single. That would be way overstepping his bounds, and Adam knows better.

Kristen: In case you didn’t read my disclaimer, I don’t think there is a Pinkgate or anything wrong with Adam recording it. I think it’s normal industry practice. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a gazillion times, good songs are rare, so if you find one, put it on your album. Few people will care to investigate its provenance.

My point is that it goes both ways. And that one person’s snarks, is another person’s bait, depending on whether the target is the favorite Idol or not. I see that demonstrated in these threads time and time again.

And yes, I come down hard on posters who are defensive, no matter which Idol is their favorite.

So, now that a few Adam fans have made such a big deal about ‘a person from a karaoke contest singing a cover’ ,
don’t you think that a few fans from the other camp would return the favour?

I think it is far out of the realm of possibility to believe that these two have any time whatsoever to consult with each other on their albums. And, I’m quite sure their labels are not interested in what the other thinks.

I think as happy as some may be to see a plethora of news about their favorite, we must always keep in mind that this is an AI blog. No day, nor even an hour, belongs to a particular contestant.

Susie821 complains that Adam has seen every song considered for Kris’s album and has been advising him when he(Adam) should be concentrating on his on work.
