I think Cavallo did a good job on David’s album in the short time they had to put it together. I don’t believe it was overproduced.

To be honest with you, after hearing what Cook and his band were able to do with some of the songs live, I was less happy with the production aspects of the CD. “I Did It For You” is a prime example. I didn’t care for it at all on the CD, but live it’s wonderful.

I don’t know who’s producing DCTR2, but I am hoping that Cook will take much, much more control of this second album and utilize his band generously — especially writing with Neal.

I spied it yesterday on some of the blogs but decided I was not going to contribute to giving Rickey or VFTW any hits for printing that kind of crap.

sidewalkstory: I also remember an interview about the vest. It was just a couple of sentences he said but I distinctly remember him saying something about symbols. So he knows they are there. And I think he said something about Hindu but I could be wrong about that part.

I remember the interview mention of the vest, too, but I have been unable to find it. All I remember was it was at the beginning of the tour and Adam said he liked the vest — I was hoping it was just something the stylist got for him — but apparently he selected it. I don’t remember any mention of the drawing though. Maybe someone else can recall him talking about it.

It sounds like the recent Canadian ones were excellent and I remember being impressed with the vocals from Cook’s guitarist when I watched the GMA mini-concert in August.

That would be Andy, Cook’s rhythm guitarist, who is in the Man in the Box cover linked to above. He sings Jerry Cantrell’s vocals in the song, with David singing lead a la Layne. Andy sounds really good. Good thing that Cook guy can keep up. Heh.

That is not the first time this happen with a fashion design and it will not be the last. I don’t remember the details, but I think there was a brand, who had to stop selling a piece, because of buttons, who look like swastikas.
And a bag designer brand had the same problem.

I think in one of this case it was mentioned that because a lot of fashion is produced in Asia, it sometimes happen that they misread the original design and go with what they know and that when such a detail finds it way in western fashion lines.

gabilan: But Cavallo needing his studio equipment for 2 straight weeks just for ‘finishing Adam Lambert’  (if I’m following Meat’s random ramblings correctly) seems like a lot of time so I’m wondering Cavallo has more than one track. Not that that means they will even make the cut though.

Two weeks, sounds like more than one track to me.

There are a lot of people working on this album. I wish one of them would say something!

It’s really not Adam fans perpetuating this. The ones really insisting on seeing evil or anything else bad in it are already inclined to dislike Adam.

Rob Cavello may be working on Adam’s track for two weeks, but Adam has tweeted about working with Ryan Tedder/Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly, Greg Wells, and Linda Perry since he started working with Rob on his album track.

This makes sense, Q3. Adam doesn’t have to be there for Cavallo to finish the track(s).
