Lambert riot

Within hours of making his yet-to-be-released album available for pre-order on Amazon.com, a frenzy of ordering drove Lambert’s ranking all the way to No. 2 on the online retailer’s bestsellers list.

That put Lambert ahead of Madonna, The Beatles and world-wide sensation Susan Boyle.

Lambert’s album won’t be released until Nov. 24. The only CD that out-ranked him yesterday was Barbra Streisand’s first new record in four years.

‘American Idol’ winner Kris Allen’s first single is catchy

Kris Allen’s first post-‘ American Idol’ single, ‘Live Like We’re Dying, ‘ is good. It’s surprising, and maybe a little jarring at first, if you expected a ballad or a mellow groove with a spare arrangement, like some of Allen’s best performances on ‘American Idol’ that paved the way to his Season 8 win.

But ‘Live Like We’re Dying, ‘ is very catchy, a bit inspirational (the lyrics are all about seizing the day, and making the most of life and love). Also it’s energetic and danceable, with a really grooving, syncopated chorus ‘” so what’s not to like?

Paris Bennett interview for ‘American Idol Rewind’

Part-time Fayetteville resident and season five contestant Paris Bennett called in late last week to promote the upcoming season of ‘American Idol Rewind, ‘ which starts this weekend on TV Guide Channel.

Her class of 2006 is considered the favorite among many of us ‘Idol’ acolytes. Among the top 10, Daughtry is huge. Kellie has been a surprisingly sturdy presence in country music. Bucky, Ace, Mandisa, Elliott, Kat and Taylor have kept themselves in the spotlight to various degrees. Even Lisa Tucker is working with Ne Yo.

Paris did come out with an album a couple of years back but got little traction. She had a baby nearly a year ago named Egypt. Whatever diva-like issues she had in 2007 are largely gone. But she really hasn’t forged a solid career image that I can ascertain.

Bucky sparks donations to help feed Richmond Co.

They were among an estimated 5, 000 to 6, 000 people at the hour and a half show and taping of footage for a music video. While it wasn’t the first time she said they’d seen Covington in concert, she thought it was a great idea to have people donate to these hunger-related causes.

‘I felt like this was a worthwhile thing to do because it’s to feed the kids, ‘ Reed said.

Reed’s party didn’t come empty-handed. Not only was she carrying a plastic grocery bag full of donations in each hand, so were the other four people with her.

Ryan Seacrest looking to cash in on reality series starring Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

When Khloe Kardashian wed Los Angeles Lakers’ Lamar Odom Sunday night, the reality star heard wedding bells. But for Ryan Seacrest, the reality show producer heard ka-ching, ka-ching.

As guests were arriving to attend the star-studded black-tie event at Kardashian family friend and music manager Irving Azoff’s Los Angeles mansion, the ‘American Idol’ judge was asked if there was any possibility he would turn the couple’s union into a new reality show.

Seacrest, who has been a producer on various reality shows including E!’s ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians, ‘ was quick to answer.

‘X Factor’ Update: Danyl Johnson Fails To Live Up To Hype

A few weeks ago, affable schoolteacher Danyl Johnson auditioned for British talent show The X Factor and was shockingly told by none other than Simon Cowell that it was the best first audition Simon had ever seen in his eight-year reality career. As a result, Danyl was catapulted to instant viral stardom and declared The New Susan Boyle.

And of course, as a result, the pressure was on. And the backlash was in motion. As the show advanced to its ‘Boot Camp’ round this week, with the final 24 being mentored by Simon and the other three X Factor judges, viewers wondered: Would Danyl rise to the occasion and deliver another watercooler-chatter-worthy performance? Or would he crack like, well, Susan Boyle?

EXCLUSIVE: RadarOnline’s DWTS Blogger Lacey Schwimmer Injured

RadarOnline.com’s own Dancing with the Stars blogger Lacey Schwimmer has suffered injuries in and around her hip muscles, we’ve learned exclusively, which will take three weeks of physical therapy to treat.

While in rehearsals on Monday with her Iron Chef star and partner Mark Dacascos, Schwimmer ‘severely strained’ her hip flexors and abductors.

Those muscle groups serve to flex the hip and pelvic regions, and lift them away from the body.

‘I’m doing ok, in a lot of pain but hey that’s a dancers life!’ Schwimmer tells us.

Louie Vito’s DWTS Blog: ‘My Hair Is Me’

One week down, another to go, and boy, am I thankful to live to dance another week. Going into the first show I had no idea what to expect. I can deal with pressure and nerves. In fact, I LOVE pressure, but this was on a whole other level. The rehearsal went super well. I felt like I danced better than ever. Going into the first dance, I was ready to go. I am my toughest critic. I did my dance successfully and thought I did pretty well. I started to get on myself about my two mini slip-ups during the dance. Chelsie just told me to get over it and kill the salsa. So with the salsa, I just tried to turn it up a notch and get it going. Overall with both dances I was stoked. I didn’t forget any steps. I was a little nervous I would keep a game face on, but I smiled the whole time. Most importantly, Chelsie was happy.

Elizabeth Taylor is a Dancing With the Stars Superfan

Former model Kathy Ireland might not be the judges’ favorite on Dancing with the Stars, but she can count on her most loyal supporter, Elizabeth Taylor, to give her top marks.

After Kathy, 46, and her partner Tony Dovolani performed ‘Shall We Dance’ from The King and I Bruno Tonioli wasn’t impressed, telling them ‘You can’t dance the quickstep two miles apart’ ¦ You’re elegant, beautiful to look at, but you have to be engaging.’ But Dame Elizabeth couldn’t disagree more!

‘Saw Dancing With The Stars tonight. Didn’t think the judges were fair to Kathy Ireland.’ Elizabeth, 77, tweeted about her friend and business partner on Sept. 28.

‘Kathy was delightful, gorgeous and fit the music they chose perfectly, ‘ the former Mrs Richard Burton twittered, ‘If they ever do a remake of The King and I she should star in it.’

Aaron Carter Scores Big On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

If Monday night’s episode of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ proves anything, it’s that Aaron Carter and his professional dance partner Karina Smirnoff have the chops and the chemistry to make it pretty far in the competition. Their Muppet-themed tango routine earned the pair a score of 27 out of 30.

And they were praised accordingly by the judges. Bruno Tonioli declared the routine, ‘Spectacular, spectacular!’ adding that Carter is ‘a mini-Fred Astaire.’ Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said the performance was ‘truly a pleasure’ and that it had ‘great pizzazz.’ And the guest judge for the night, ‘Moulin Rogue’ director Baz Luhrmann, said the couple was ‘clever and inventive, ‘ according to People.

All this praise may be why Carter thinks he has a shot at winning the dance competition. In an interview with 104.3 MY FM’s Valentine in the Morning on Monday, hours before the show, he declared, ‘There are no if’s, and’s or but’s or possibilities or chances, I’m going to win ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ ‘
