’9 to 5? Shines in it’s Nashville Debut

The cast of this musical shine brightly. Dee Hoty plays Violet Newstead, Diana DeGarmo plays Dolly’s role of Doralee Rhodes, and Judy Bernly is played by Mamie Parris. The musical version of ’9 to 5? was revamped slightly…it’s definitely edgy, with a little bit of raunchy sprinkled about. After getting over the initial shock of the opening number, we laughed until we just couldn’t laugh anymore, and Diana DeGarmo nails Dolly’s version of Doralee…body and all.

Adam Lambert livin’ it up with glitz, glitter, glamour and leather

Though he’s clueless when it comes to F1 drivers, if given the chance to own his own F1 racing team or any sports team, Adam Lambert plans to call them “The Glitz”.

And he’ll even decorate the cars in good ol’ Glambert fanfare.

“Yeah! Real shiny, put rhinestones all over the car and maybe some sort of glitter paint – it’ll look really cool. Or we can just use nail polish, it’ll be fine,” he laughed.

“Since ‘American Idol’ I’ve been in development,” said Malakar, who turned 21 on Sept. 10.

“I’d played shows and stuff, but I’d never really sat down and thought, ‘Who am I as an artist? What defines me as a musician?’ … I need to figure out exactly what it is, because I know that I don’t want to be a cookie-cutter pop star. I know that I don’t want to be the next Chris Brown. That works for him, but that’s not who I am.”

X Factor escort Chloe Mafia ‘caught on camera snorting cocaine’

X Factor call girl Chloe Mafia has apparently been caught on camera snorting cocaine, which is said to have been filmed just three days before last night’s show.

The footage obtained by a Sunday tabloid allegedly shows the 19-year-old single mother taking the Class A substance before meeting a client for sex, it is claimed.

Her drug fuelled night is said to have taken place in a hotel suite, while her two-year-old daughter Destiny was being looked after by a friend, the Sunday Mirror reported.

It amazes me that one person’s idea is taken to be the voice of a group of people.

Actually, there were several people who thought it would be a great idea to buy Adam a car. But, there were just as many people who thought it would be a terrible idea.

And yes, this sort of thing happens in every fandom. I remember some Bo fans who wanted to collect money to buy him an 11K guitar owned by Jimmy Hendrix.

  • mmb

3 or 4 crazy peeps at AO have a nutty idea and all of a sudden its “the Glamberts” want to buy Adam a maserati? It goes without saying that it is a ridiculous idea that will be (or it looks like it already has been) laughed at by the majority of Adam’s fans who have heard about it. Crazy stuff like this happens in every fandom — and not just by idol fans. But its too bad when bloggers choose to paint an entire fanbase in one broad stroke based upon the BSC actions of a few fringe members (I am, of course, not talking about MJ).

But its too bad when bloggers choose to paint an entire fanbase in one broad stroke based upon the BSC actions of a few fringe members (I am, of course, not talking about MJ).

A number of Idol fans thought this was a sick joke and said so. We went so far as to ask for proof of this crazy idea. Because really, who would buy a $100K sportscar for anyone but themselves, and not even doing that now in this economy? Besides, Adam has the money to buy his own cars.

No one wanted to believe it, because it’s so far-fetched. But apparently, it’s true. And that’s too bad for the regular Adam fans, some of whom I’ve met on blogs like this and are cool, down-to-earth people. But it only takes a few crazy apples to spoil the barrel, and that’s what has happened here.

Believe it or not, most Idol fans don’t go out of their way to look for the BSCs. But they always pop up and since they’re around, we talk about them. It’s a morbid curiousity, to be sure. But most of us aren’t out to automatically judge others in Idolworld. Give us a chance. I think you would be pleasantly surprised, even if we don’t agree on things. :-)

  • OhMyRawrrr

Forget a damn Maserati. What the glamberts need to do is start a fund. I read that Adam’s dancer Sasha has a niece that had a traumatic brain injury. Her family needs help to put her in a place where she can get therapy and the best chance for recovery. They raised so much money for donor’s choose, it’s too bad they can’t raise money for this. A real story of someone needing real help.
ETA: this thread is hilarious – especially the Guano Cup – LMAO! :D

I don’t know about a compiuter, but I do know Jason Castro’s fans bought him a guitar strap and a movie camera. Sorry I am not sure of the description, but they gave it to him at the beginning of the concert tour, and every Tuesday he would communicate with his fans (sometimes more than once a week). The other Idols were making appearances on his video presentations. He would usually start off with a folksy, “Hi, how’s it going?”

Carly, Michael, Archie, and others would make a “guest appearance”, really funny stuff. This kept Jason real to his fans. He’s just the sweetest down-to-earth guy you’d ever want to meet!

Grammie Kari, the camera was a Flip camera. I loved the Tuesday videos Jason posted on the AI tour and afterwards. I need to go back and watch them again. They were/are so much fun for his fans. He’s a real sweetie.

Fans did not give Jason a computer. It was a lie which was spread far and wide as lies often are. The computer was given to him by the same company which gave computers to each of the other Idols that season. Jason got his later than they did because he felt he did not need one at the time the others got theirs. Once his broke, they gave him the computer that they would have given to him earlier if he had accepted it then. It’s amazing how lies take on a life of their own. *sigh*
