So, my mantra is All will be Well!! Adam’s day is coming, the singles will not be crap. I mean, if he can make No Boundaries sound good, I think he can succeed with about anything they give him. Even though he is in the Idol machine, he has never let his fans down, he always surprises us and he is the most unique artist they have ever had to work with, so cheer up peeps! His single will be here soon and it will be Nov. 24th before you know it!

LOL! Well put, austinmidwife! ITA! I think I will stand by my earlier assessment too, after we heard about Kara penning Strut:

His voice WILL make mediocre material sound good, it will make good material sound GREAT, and it will make bad material…well, he will always have a gorgeous voice, so there

And I also tend to agree that, with so many big magazines hyping him already, they probably have heard something (RCA tidbits, etc.) just to get the buzz going. The magazines don’t want to be hyping acts that are not going to stand up to it.

Also, random question connected to the EW list of albums — they have Lil Wayne listed — is that still official? I remember him being off the USA Today calendar of release dates.

I truly believe that his album will be good enough to do well. RCA/19E has lined him up with well-known producers, songwriters are so excited abut him, he has celebrities who can’t stop talking about him. When, ever, has an AI contestant come off the show with celebrity fans? Maybe I’m wrong, since I’ve only been watching since Season 5, but I think Adam stands alone in this. Even if only half of the songs on his album are excellent, it will get good reviews. There is so much crap music out there, put out by cookier cutter artists that make it big, that Adam, with his amazing vocal range (thanks to whoever posted the HOTM link – that was nice to wake up to) will do just fine.

I also love that the press mentions him being at the P!NK concert with his BF in the most matter of fact way. I couldn’t help it and actually wrote a fan letter this past month and in it I said this: “Whether you wanted it or not, or whether you meant it or not, you have forced many people to re-examine their beliefs about how they feel about homosexuality and alternative ways of living, because many people (many straight people, who are straight in many ways) loved you before you confirmed in Rolling Stone Magazine what many of us knew already.” and I believe it.

So I’m happy when I see him in the press, whether it’s a focus on where he is and what he’s doing or whether it’s about his upcoming album. Got to love that RS poll too!! YES! He beats out Emenim and those other by a lonnnnng long way.

I think I will pretend to be naive and that Simon Fuller really means what he says about Adam when they signed him.
With this, I will tell myself that he will do well in spite of the very high expectations that is seems to be like gathering speed as his album release draws near. I will join Sunn and all those in this webfam in the daily chant that all will be well.

I’m beginning to bite my nails. I don’t think the people writing about the album have heard it, they may have one song, but not the album. How could they have? it’s still being recorded.

Exactly’ ¦’ ¦I think a lot of it is based on expectations and a lot of it is plain old PR by the label. They’re trying to build antipation for it that will equate into sales. The pressure certainly is on Adam to deliver!

I disagree (about it being plain old PR by the label). You think that every other artist out there far more established doesn’t have PR representation? And every journalist doesn’t slog through pitches all day, every day? Well, I’m only a regional journalist, and let me tell you, I do. If I was national? I can’t even imagine. But for some reason Adam keeps getting coverage ‘“ for everything.

I don’t know if it’s a little insider information, a lot of buzz, knowledge based on his talent and genuine intrigue by the media (they’ve seen it al), but it’s happening regardless.
