That Danny blog was an interesting read. I wish I didn’t take everything he says the wrong way but those biases just won’t dissapear, easily, and I still think the man lacks the “smarts” to succeed in the dog eat dog business of the recording industry.

Everytime I listen to Danny or read a quoted interview I feel like I’m listening to a junior high kid instead of a functioning adult. I understand he tries so very hard but he just always says the kind of stuff that really irks me. As much as he seems to want his “foundation” to succeed I just don’t feel that to tie it into his musical career gives him the type of “cred” that he so desperately wants. If he just focused on his career for awhile the foundation would benefit greatly if he makes it to stardom…doing both just seems to equate to a half-assed job of both, IMHO.

I KNOW! Seriously this site is like a drug! When I got error messages this morning, and MJ’s tweets about more maintenance work, I was like: NO I need my fix!!!

Everytime I listen to Danny or read a quoted interview I feel like I’m listening to a junior high kid instead of a functioning adult. I understand he tries so very hard but he just always says the kind of stuff that really irks me. As much as he seems to want his ‘foundation’  to succeed I just don’t feel that to tie it into his musical career gives him the type of ‘cred’  that he so desperately wants.

Yes, I understand what you mean. He’s a good kid, but he just doesn’t have anywhere near the experience in the biz, or the focus of what he wants or how to get there, that some of the others guys (especially Adam, Kris, and Matt) have due to all of their previous experience.

He just thinks too much about too many things, filled with grandiose ideas and plans, rather than just focusing on a clear goal, and taking the necessary steps to reach that goal.

Danny keeps hinting about a record deal. He said a few days ago there would be good news “before the end of the month,” but I missed it if anything got announced. It would have been a perfect time when he was in Milwaukee.

Starting to wonder if Danny’s understanding about any deal might be overly optimistic.

But I think that Danny will certainly get a recording contract — with Word Records is my bet and hope for him. I really want to see him work with Mark Bright.

AE:You did The Ten Commandments, and you were working with Adam Lambert before he got on American Idol. What was that project like and what was it like working with him?

NR: It’s funny. Before, it used to be like everybody was like, “Oh, you did The Ten Commandments with Val Kilmer?” And now all of a sudden it’s, “You did The Ten Commandments with Adam Lambert?” [laughs] It’s been great to watch Adam change just overnight into this huge thing. I mean we always knew that he was incredible. We always believed in him. That show was filled with incredible people. Just to finally see him get this kind of attention is just so beautiful. Couldn’t have happened to a better guy.

And I’m so proud of how he handled himself. It’s so interesting to know somebody that’s going through that kind of national spotlight. He stayed very true to who he is, and to give him any kind of criticism about not being out, or not being this, or not being that is just so funny, because Adam is the most honest, forthright, this-is-who-I-am kind of person I know.

Does anyone know who he plays? OLTL is my other guilty pleasure (that has been usurped this year by AI). He’s in stage makeup in the photo, so I can’t quite tell. I’m pretty familiar with the real names of most of the cast members, but his is not ringing a bell. I believe he is a character that just debuted the other day, but I’m not sure. I googled him, but am not getting his cast credits. Can’t go into too much research at work.

The show has a strong gay story line going on right now and have even done the man on man kissing scene. They’re doing an excellent job with it.

I’m sure that those quickie CDs will be some real ‘quality efforts’  by Adam & Allison there.

Well, this is pretty typical of every AI year – they always come out very quickly, to capitalize on the newfound fame of these unknowns (wait too long and everyone will forget about them by the time the next season rolls around). And Kris is in the same situation.

I still think it’s better to get a “mostly ok” cd out there in a short amount of time, with maybe one or two decent “radio friendly” hits and A LOT of backing from their label (at least at first), then to wait too long and get lost in the shuffle a year from now.

Adam has taken so many photoshoots but we only saw like 10 pics. Not publishing those unused RS photos is totally a waste.

Probably not a fashion magazine or most of the entertainment mags because they would have flown him to NY not LA.

I bet against 2012 because why would the shoot be so long. They would really only need one photo of Adam for that. (Bet they use something from the Sebree or album photoshoot.)

My guess: Rolling Stone #2 which I expect to see in early November. The last RS shoot was at Smashbox Studios in Culver City.

Sounds good to me. Though I hate to hear about his schedule turning into this Granted, it’s not easy fitting in so many obligations under such a tight schedule, but seriously, why does it seem that it is still the worst for Adam? Like, Allison keeps recording locally, and Kris, other than the Memphis trip, doesn’t seem to be doing as many of these crazy, day-long marathon photo shoot/recording sessions. I think the last one, around the time of the NYC shows, really took its toll on Adam and led to the “vocal rest”/”doctors orders” issues for the following weeks (not to mention Tired!Adam on tour).

I am not very fond of him either… a formulae guy. I am praying for a miracle to happen and that these idols will get some decent songs to record. It’s frustrating when you have followed them for a season and you know the potential they have and you can sort of see what they COULD be. Unfortunately they all seem to end up doing bland songs with predictable production.

Jason Castro’s new single is very catchy. At first, I was unhappy–too pop, not enough depth. He’s written some pre and post idol stuff that is really good. And I thought that the producers over-engineered his voice. His voice isn’t big or wide, but it has a lushness to it and should not be messed with. Anyway, his song is in my head like crazy, like a commercial jingle, but not annoying. I still prefer his deeper stuff and the producers should leave his beautiful voice alone.

CRB, at least they aren’t putting their albums together in a week, like poor Kristy Lee did last season! Seriously, though, this is the way it goes for those signed right after Idol. Every album, including Daughtry’s and Carrie Underwoods first CDs, are done by November.

Bleeding Love is okay, but the second song of his sounds just like Battlefield. And the Max Martin song isn’t impressing me much either. I’m scared.

That really is a huge fear I have for Adam. I mean the guy has such amazing talent, in terms of what he can do with that voice (read: he can do pretty much ANYTHING with that voice), but in such a short amount of time, and with so many things going on at once and so much luck involved with the process, I really really hope he gets at least a few quality songs to sing on the album. He really deserves it. I feel like he could make a lot of crap sound MUCH better, but there’s only so much magic you can work

Fantasia and Ruben had covers on their first albums too. Not to familiar with a lot of runner up albums, but I believe Bo Bice had a cover on his.

Same here, I had to log in – it said their was 68 comments at the top of the page and at the beginning of the comments section it said 16 comments and I did not get the “older comments” until I signed in.

I do not see “reply directly to the comment” anywhere and I am not seeing avatars anywhere although I could see them this morning….

I just tried to view the site from my corporate computer, different IP, to check, I didn’t log in. I got to see entire comments, no truncation, but only the first page of the Headline thread. There was no clickable “newer comments” for me. I think it might be a transition kink that will likely be sorted out in due course.

On the plus side, the site loads a lot faster than it used to. And the look of it is very tidy.

Covers are fairly common on albums in general, AI or otherwise. I think he had mentioned if it was a cover, it wouldn’t be something from the show (not MW, I’m guessing ) but I could be remembering that incorrectly.

Regardless of the tracks, I think his first album should just be called “Adam.” That would say all that needs to be said.

This is a horrible interview question, so I can almost forgive Danny’s “Captain Obvious” response. Almost.

spinastory, I like the way you think but heads would collectively explode. Especially if there is a video.

I’m worried Adam’s album is going to be watered down and bland. Adam doesn’t do bland, bland will not work. Look at all the bland pop writers he’s got lined up. Someone needs to think outside the AI box and come up with something for Mr. Fearless to sing. Maybe Sparro came up with something good. I’d be happy if he really did cover Closer, at least it will be a bold, brave move. Hypothetically speaking of course, I’m sure he won’t cover it.

Maybe he’ll sex up another country song just for the hell of it. And I’d love a good recording of Come Home if I had to choose a cover.

I’m not refreshing MJs (for a bit), I go out and back in and there are a few changes each time. I am sure MJ will get everything set up, again, since she’s a master at running a good site and making it user friendly.

Wanted to make a comment concerning yesterday’s headlines thread and the discussion on albums and album releases. I found it interesting that a few posts were to paraphrase “I want my idol to record a song that sounds just like ________ that he did on the show”.

Maybe I’m missing something but I choose to follow an idol because I like his or her voice and it really doesn’t matter to me what they sing. I listened to Elvis sing everything from Gospel to pop to ballads and some of the biggest dreck known in the history of motion pictures. And I really liked it because I liked his voice.

I guess I was introduced to music when the voice and the Artist was the thing and the music and the song was secondary. Not to say that I would want an Idol to record “Purple Peole eater” or “Monster Mash” but if their voice sounds good and they interprete the song well..that is a winner for me. Guess I’m just really weird that way!

I like the way you think but heads would collectively explode. Especially if there is a video.

I always hoped Adam’s album would be named A D A M in big letters. I wonder if the album cover picture will be leaked…do the singles typically use the album cover? I guess if the track from 2012 is the first single that it wouldn’t apply.

I have the feeling Kris’s album name will be called Kris Allen. Of course, it could always be the name of the lead track. Gavin DeGraw’s went Chariot, then Gavin DeGraw, then Free. I found that a bit odd.

It’s sad, IMO, that Danny thinks ppl in the audience might boo him (although it was a stupid question).

That’s interesting. I don’t know if it’s generational or not, but to me the music is the key. A good voice is important ofcourse, but the music itself is paramount to my listening pleasure. I don’t really care much about the lyrics either. I could be listening to a song for a solid year and not know the lyrics. The melody, on the other hand, I can pick out and name after just 2 or 3 consecutive notes.
Adam’s voice is gorgeous, and quite melodious in itself, but I’m not sure It can overcome a bad instrumental to make me listen, and enjoy a song I would normally hate.

I tried to do it but then decided I better wait until I get home lest the editors wondering what the hell I’m doing with glittery Adam pictures on my screen (discretion is the better part of mj lurking). I’m a bit worried, though, because it said my screen name was taken (WTF?), so now I have to be ravengirl57. I wonder if that is going to cause me problems getting back into mj’s site. I agree with you, Tess. Adam can breathe life and soul into dreck with his singing. “Want” and “NoBo” were opposite sides of the same coin ‘“ one bland, one cluttered ‘“ and he still managed to sound great on both of them. BTW, MJ, when that Kara NoBo story ran, I had the song stuck in my head all day ‘“ thanks for that.

The mass music buying public often eats up the dreck. If the three have to go bland but safe the first time out, I’ll take that over never hearing from them again, for sure. All three can interpret the hell out of a song, so I say, have at it.

I agree, zorana84. Come Home for Adam would make me swoon. Closer by NIN would be great, too. It would have that Ring of Fire sort of vibe, but darker (remember, both Randy and Paula referenced NIN).

Yes, a blues song by someone like Etta James would be *amazing* for Allison. However, I hope she stays away from some of Pink’s songs b/c they simply are too mature for her.

I could see Kris singing Jason Mraz, but since they are (I think) making a concerted effort to steer him away from Mraz/DeGraw vibe, I don’t know.

Oh, and I flove “Come Home” and “I Just Love You” for Adam. I listen to the ripped versions of YouTube videos as opposed to the professional produced originals (have those on my playlist and CD, but tend to skip them for Adam’s). A professionally produced version would be awesome.

If Adam did Closer? LOL! Yeah, PROBABLY not the best move coming out of the gates from AI (oh, think of the children!) Though that would be incredibly hot for us older fans

I’m worried Adam’s album is going to be watered down and bland. Adam doesn’t do bland, bland will not work. Look at all the bland pop writers he’s got lined up. Someone needs to think outside the AI box and come up with something for Mr. Fearless to sing. Maybe Sparro came up with something good. I’d be happy if he really did cover Closer, at least it will be a bold, brave move. Hypothetically speaking of course, I’m sure he won’t cover it.

Maybe he’ll sex up another country song just for the hell of it. And I’d love a good recording of Come Home if I had to choose a cover.

See, the thing is, though, that his album also has to be marketable and popular, so, once again, you have that difficult tight-rope to walk: make it fearless, bold, original, controversial (like Adam), but make it radio-friendly, popular, etc. Not mutually exclusive, of course, but imo it is VERY difficult to come up with, especially with such a short amount of time.

That’s why I will personally be just fine with Adam turning out something akin to BEP, Lady Gaga (yes, yes, I know – no Lord Gaga going on here), Katy Perry, etc. Something with a catchy hook, his fabulous vocals, get people moving and groving, oh, with some guitars (and gregorian chants) thrown in as well

Adam and Kris’ albums are off iTunes today, makes me sad. I wonder why they didn’t wait til the end of the concert tour.

I can think of two possible reasons:

1. 19 only negotiated the rights thru the end of August.

2. They are clearing the way for new releases!! Kris’ single should be released in September.

People’s Sexiest Man issue comes out in November’ ¦maybe the shoot is for that??

My daughter buys an album because she likes a single song (played on the radio) and then complains endlessly that the rest of the album doesn’t have the “sound” she enjoyed hearing. I, on the other hand, wait for the “voice” or “voices and instrumentation (a band)” and then buy the album because that is what moves me.

And if the songs vary in content I really don’t mind because I love the Artist. Geesh, I even play early Pink Floyd and late David Gilmour just because I love their collective voices and sound. Making it through “Atom Heart Mother” may be a task but it’s Pink Floyd so what do I care.

ALL ARTISTS produce some REALLY bad (not just mediocre) material. I don’t care if they take years to make an album, all 12 or 14 songs will not be the same high caliber (Dark Side of the Moon is the no. 1 exception). All any Artist can strive for is one great song, 3 or 4 good songs, a few listenable songs, and minimum terrible songs on an album.

I just think that there is way too much pressure for these Idols to come out with a “great” album, and I, for one, just don’t get it. You either like the singer or you don’t and if you like them you’ll probably buy their album…if you are uncertain about the Artist (like me with DC and KA) you’ll give the album a listen before you decide.

I was just talking to my husband about Pink Floyd last night. It took me becoming an adult to appreciate it..but I was just saying that we need to download the album and open a good bottle of wine. LOL

I also pick albums the same way as a whole. My only issue with AI albums is that they really are often subpar. For instance I forgot how much I loved David Cook’s voice until I heard it on GMA. I didn’t follow AI after the season, so he was lost to me. After hearing most of the album, I was disappointed. Not so much in the quality of the material in so much as what they did to his voice. Way too much auto tune. definitely lost the flavor. You can only smooth out so many rough edges until the voice is transformed into something sounding completely different.

I am probably the only one that HATES Adams cover of I Just Love You. And I didn’t like Closer by NIN at all. How about Song to Say Goodbye by placebo?

Adam sounds to happy about what he is working on for his album for it to be pop dreck so far. Maybe 19/RCA will turn it into dreck but I am starting to doubt it. I sure don’t expect them to autotune Adam’s vocals into bland, “radio-friendly”, mindless nothing.

And I am sure that at least the 2012 song is not dreck because Brian May didn’t need to say anything about it at all. And I can’t imagine Roland Emmerich putting a pop song at the end of 2012.

Earlier today I remembered the whole almost-disaster of Adam-Kiss duet which worked out just fine. I remember hearing Adam was all excited about singing with a really cool band and getting my hopes up that it was Queen. And then being totally agast and angry about the ridiculous pairing of Adam and Queen. I though he was crazy to be excited about a “WTF” Kiss duet. Well, turns out the only thing from the finale I still play is Adam singing “Beth”, the duet with Kiss was great (pryo, gold boots, Mackey wings) and Adam did get to sing with Queen. So, if he can pull off singing with Kiss and still remain cool not campy, I think he can put together a pop album — even with 19 involved.

Ruben’s coronation song was also a cover (“Flying Without Wings” was originally recorded by Westlife (a Simon Cowell discovered boy-band)). It was a bonus track on his debut CD.

“Superstar” was not only sung on the show, it was also on the season’s compilation album (as well as the debut CD)

Ruben also covered the BeeGee’s “How Can you Mend a Broken Heart” on his debut album.

Personally, I think that if you are going to do a cover on your CD, you should cover somebody unlike you. If Kris was going to cover Jason Mraz or Allison was covering Pink, it would be total karoake. At least try to bring something to the song. I also think that it’s generally better to cover something that may be a little older (ie not currently a hit) which allows you to freshen it up a bit and make it your own (established artists can get away with covering newer songs, but I think debut artists should avoid doing that…especially debut artists froms television shows already labeled as being karaoke).

Don’t worry, it will be bland. It’s what happens every year with the 19 produced dreck. The best to realistically hope for will be 2 or 3 songs that don’t suck. That’s about all I look for with Adam’s first record, oh and having some be commercially viable. That will make me happy.

Good point. That Kiss moment was a weird one for me. I’m vaguely indifferent to Kiss in general, and thought it was OTT even by Adam standards on the finale. Then I bought it (of course) on itunes, and after replaying on my ipod, I’ve concluded it seriously kicks ass, and makes much of the rest of the finale look tame and lame in comparison.

I’m listening to Closer too – Adam would do this much justice live in concert – I would pay bigtime to see that.

I’ve always wondered about lyrical content and singers. I know “hard livin’ lyrics” may seem inappropriate to some for a 17 year old but I don’t see a problem. I don’t think someone needs to go through every little thing they sing about to know how to emote a song…just like I don’t think an actor has to be a drug addict to play one.

As long as Allison is mature enough to understand the lyric (and I don’t think she has led the sheltered kind of existance of a David A) she can figure out the emotion it takes to sing it. I also think the listening audience doesn’t equate Allison’s age with the lyrics…most of us know the difference between the truth and telling a story.

I just don’t want Allison singing about a first crush or dancing at her high school prom…her voice doesn’t relate to puppies and sunflowers….more to lions and tigers and bears and a thorny cactus or two.

What I meant re: Allison is that:

1) She has said she doesn’t have a boyfriend (not that it matters), and more importantly

2) Talking about her ex and starting a fight in a bar doesn’t really say “Allison.” I know, ppl sing about stuff that has nothing to do with themselves all the time, but she *is* only 17. So for me for you for me, it’s kind of creepy to hear her sing about bar fights. The blues, however, can just be more about a mood. Dunno.

True about the karaoke situation. I would think with a cover that you would do something completely unexpected, or else it would be like Idol Redux. I love IJLYand Come Home for Adam b/c he just sounds so sincere on both. I mean, strip away everything remotely theatrical and there you go. The gasp at the end of Come Home gets me every time.

Allison and rock ballads are a must – I’d hate for her to be all pop.

UMMM just a question to anybody who knows. Adam Lamberts Season 8 Favorites Album is not longer available on Itunes. Neither is any of his songs he sang during the show. All that is available right now is No Boundaries, Want, Is anybody listening. Maybe they are getting ready for something new? In contrast Kris’s Season 8 Favorites album is also removed. So you only can get No boundaries and the Itune Pass for his upcoming album. Is this their way of forcing people to buy No boundaries no matter what? LOL

Hah, I agree. I don’t think that’s going to happen. She has said herself that she doesn’t want to be singing about “my boyfriend loves me…yeah” so I don’t think it’ll happen. She’s edgier than that and her voice doesn’t lend itself to that type of bubble gum pop. Hopefully her people understand that and I think they do.

I am with you in this. I think that growing listening to whole LPs by the same artist made me pay more attention to the artist.

I kind of agree with this. For “So What” I’m okay with it because it’s really a fun sounding song. I love Allison, but on the show “I Can’t Make You Love Me”, while a great performance, left me with a feeling that the song was just too mature for her.

Good morning, all. I am finally delurking here… have been following you guys since the tour began and love your spirit! I decided to “come out” because there are only a few concerts left and I wanted to be officially a part of your conversation in the little time left.

Me too! The ONLY stuff I haven’t liked is a few of the Citizen Vein tracks where it is hard to hear the vocals over the band – if I can hear Adam’s voice I like it. Even stuff that I THOUGHT that I hated (BTBW, PTFM, dancey stuff like Pop goes the camera & Kiss and Tell) I end up liking when Adam is singing it

I only watched Daughtry’s version on youtube. The vid is not near good quality, so I think it is unfair for Daughtry to be judged by that. I flove Adam’s WLL, but I won’t be surprised if one year later someone watch a random Adam WLL tour concert vid and think it’s ott or unimpressive.

And thank goodness for that. Sebree’s photos, while nice, were rather flat (lighting-wise) and standard “modelly” for my taste. Not edgy enough.

With this discussion about music and albums I’ve been contemplating a few things…dangerous territory I know because thinking can get me in trouble. I think I have a pretty good idea what will make Adam stand out in the crowd and Allison, too, since their voices are “different” than most of the current crop of singers.

What I don’t know is how Kris will set himself apart once he’s out in the real world. What does he have that others don’t have and how is he unique? What does he bring to the table that will make people sit up and take notice. I really am interested in how his fan’s see him and what their take is on him, his voice and his style.

But this is part of one of the advantages Kris has, is that there is a ready made market for voices like his and music styles like he’ll probably do. And yeah, soft rock/pop can appeal to a wide variety of people. I don’t how, but it does. So this is actually part of the beauty of Kris, is that he has a variety of people who already like his kind of music/voice, so will probably enjoy Kris’s offering in this area.

It’s why I think that Kris has a very good chance, probably the best of the three signed now, to be at least moderately successful. I think Adam could go either way. I’ve said it before, will say it again, he could strike out, or he could homer. Less of a chance of a base hit from him. Allison I think is safer than Adam, as well. I am very interested as to what Kris’s album will sound like. I have no problem with it having a Jason Mraz vibe, as I am a big Jason Mraz fan. That, of course, won’t make it stand out, but I do NOT want him to go electronica (please, Kris) or hard rock (ditto). An acoustic rock album would make me SO VERY HAPPY (Heartless on the Idol stage; I do like it better than the Fray’s version), but I am not holding my breath.

Allison, I’ve said before, has the luxury of time due to her age. her label will give her a chance at a second album before they drop her, even if her first album doesn’t work.

Zoinks! Because my first thoughts are usually much snarkier than I intend. And so seeing them in print, with some time, allows me to check on that, do a Gokey meditation on that, and than adjust as need be.

Kelly Clarkson is going to rock the Hollywood & Highland complex during a free, public performance on September 14 in Los Angeles, Access Hollywood can break exclusively.

Clarkson will perform the final concert in this year’s Samsung AT&T Summer Krush concert tour. The Hollywood & Highland complex has room for 5,000 fans.

I love the fact that Kris is writing with Dan Wilson while in town. I love him. He’s a fantastic songwriter and a really great guy. I can see the two of them hitting it off and coming up with some fantastic stuff. I mentioned awhile ago that Minneapolis has a great music community, and he’s a big part of the reason why.

This is exactly how I see it. Kris is like corn flakes – he just has to be a good enough kind of corn flakes to grab his share of the market. Adam is like a new food coming in from somewhere else. Will he be like yoghurt, and take off, even though there was nothing like it in the market here before? Or will he be like lefse, selling a few places to a few die hard fans? It’s a November issue. On the newsstands 11/20. Which means they picked the guy already. (Or are really sweating it out in a meeting right now, even though most of NYC is out of town week before Labor Day.) Because they have to have it all shot, written approved and done by mid Oct.

They might toss in a snap of Adam, on the “also ran” list with some reference to his devoted fanbase (how about that SNL response today on Twitter…) But if Adam’s album sells astronomically (knock wood) and he gets Beatlemania response crowds all year (more knock wood) he could easily be the guy one day, maybe even 2010, because they are desperate to make it not be yet another white guy. And at least Adam offers some orientation spanning diversity. And there is no demo he doesn’t hit. So, with (knock, knock, knock on wood, sing it, Eddie…) a good year, Adam is almost certainly on the “also sexy man” feature list 2010.

Hm, so where in the world is everyone seeing avatars? I don’t see any! And I’m sure you’ve heard a lot of this, MJ, but just wanted to confirm what others are saying– I definitely could not see more than a few comments until I logged in. When working with some Kindergarten students this summer, I found myself jotting down these comments. Maybe you’ll get a chuckle, too.

1. I was talking to the boys about how God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites. I was hoping they would be able to tell me that it was Moses that God used. Wow. I bet there are some interesting stories behind this one. Have we ever had 19E sign anybody this late? Usually, it’s all done shortly after the show. Why wait until outside of the exclusive contract window. Is it possible that it was Danny that was holding out? IDK. This is unusual.

All this interest in the avatars here and, to me, they are so small. They are as small as the nail on my pinky finger and I’ve got small hands. I don’t see the point in having an avatar since you’d need a magnifying glass to see what they are.

Cheeks was at 3 and 4 fluctuating before Adam tweeted about it. I like Cheeks youtube video spoofs, but I am not a fan of his music. I may check out Simian Mobile Disco, some of their stuff is pretty good.

I am worried about Adam’s album. He seems to be more into the electro dance stuff than rock and he may lose a lot of his fan base if that is what his album is going to be all about.

rockvixen, Adam had an interview recently where he confirmed that there would be a lot of classic rock influence on his album. He specifically said that he knew it wouldn’t be smart to stray too far from that. He really is going to fuse the two– rock and electro pop.
