Fantasia Fallout – Oprah Wants Ditched Wife Paula Cook On Her Talk Show

Oprah Winfrey has reached out to Paula Cook to talk about how American Idol star Fantasia Barrino stole her husband, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Paula – whose husband Antwaun Cook allegedly left her and their two sons for the Grammy nominated singer – is still considering Oprah’s offer and has also been approached by Oscar winner Mo’Nique to appear on her talk show too.

And while Fantasia has now opened-up about her botched recent suicide attempt, Cook has taken a leave of absence from her teaching job while she considers her options.

Katharine McPhee in a Car Accident – She’s Fine

Ruh rho. Kat McPhee in a minor car accident. She tweeted the deets.

“Just had a lovely experience at the local Sherman oaks hospital. Was hit from behind pretty dang hard. My one regret was not wearing…Makeup today because all the fireman & policeman were sooooo hott! And sweet! I will be ok. Soar but ok.”

She’s fine, but her car…not so much.

Season 6 Idol, Chris Sligh, tweeted yesterday about shooting his first film. Chris tells me that he’s the secondary lead in an indie film being shot in Birmingham, Al called “October Baby”. He says it will hit all the film festivals in 2011.

Season 7 Top 24 contestant, Luke Menard filmed a music video with Jason Mraz. Luke tweeted, a photo of him and Mraz on set before the shoot. Luke tweets, “song is called “love.” It’s a duet sung by Jason mraz and Hope. Should be out mid october. We filmed the video in Malibu.”

Simon Cowell is gone, after wrapping his “Idol” duties in the bummer of a ninth season finale. The ever-unpredictable Paula Abdul left after the eighth season. One-season-not-so-wonderful judge Ellen DeGeneres voted herself off, and won’t be returning. It’s looking like Kara DioGuardi, who never brought much to the party, is out. Randy Jackson is reportedly coming back, with his aging batch of remarks (“you did your thing, Dawg, ” “that was just all right for me”). All summer, rumors have swirled about who’ll be filling the judges seats.

Is this any state for “American Idol” to be in? It most definitely is not. As Simon would say, that’s not good enough.

So, though nobody asked, we offer this list of solutions to problems gripping our national singing-competition pastime.

Fantasia performs impromptu performance 8/19

Fantasia Barrino hit the stage at the Big Chill in Charlotte, NC as a surprise performer to close out the Birthday Celebration/Comedy Show for Charlotte Bobcats player Tyrus Thomas. VH1 camera crews were in attendance, as Fantasia performed a set of old school jams and her new smash ‘Bittersweet’

X Factor admits to vocal tweaks

X Factor bosses have admitted using vocal enhancement processes on the ITV talent show.

Fans had claimed after the opening show that “autotuning” had been used to improve some contestants’ voices.

It is used in recording studios to improve performances by correcting pitch and disguising off-key mistakes.

An X Factor spokesman said post-production work was necessary on the show due to the number of microphones used during filming.

Here we go again then. Can it really be time for The X Factor (ITV1, Saturday)? It seems like only five minutes ago . . . or maybe that was Britain’s Got Talent. It’s all one big talent contest now, all the time, for ever. Quite depressing.

So we’re in Glasgow. And thousands of waiting hopefuls have been penned in with those metal crowd-control barriers. It’s basically a livestock market, or an abattoir. I think we all know who the chief slaughterman is.

Is Another Britney ‘Glee’ Cameo In The Works?

Just days after Britney Spears stopped by the “Glee” set to film her cameo for Season 2, there already appears to be talk of her returning to McKinley High.

On Saturday, at the Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles, Access Hollywood asked co-creator Ryan Murphy if fans can expect to see even more of the “Circus” singer, and Ryan suggested it is likely.

“Probably, yeah… probably, ” he said.
