Derek Hough: I Will Be Back on Dancing With the Stars

While casting for the new Dancing with the Stars season won’t be officially announced until Aug. 29, one person who will definitely be on the show is three-time champ Derek Hough.

“I will be back!” Hough tells PEOPLE. Following his third mirror-ball-winning season with Jennifer Grey last November, Hough took time off in the spring to shoot an independent dance movie Cobu 3D. The time off gave the 26-year-old a chance to “push myself and introduce me to a career I’d love to do more. It was a fantastic experience.”

Queen Latifah, Snooki, Tiffani Signing on for New Season ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Queen Latifah and Snooki will sign on to do the next season of “Dancing with the Stars” … sources connected with the show tell TMZ.

And, show sources tell us, Tiffani Thiessen will also be a contestant. As TMZ has already told you, Rob Kardashian will also compete. Producers have said they wanted to upgrade the contestants for the new season, which begins next month.

Among the 49-year-old X Factor judge’s requests, according to an insider?

Each assistant must carry and use a tape recorder at all times “because she doesn’t trust her own conversations, ” the source says.

“She also makes them check the TiVo for any mention of her and put it on a DVD.”

Abdul team members should also prepare to go through her email — and respond to family and friends as the star herself.

The “Forever Your Girl” singer also needed constant reminders that she is a “warrior, survivor and gift, ” adds the insider.

Glee Star Chris Colfer’s Big-Screen Debut: “It Will Make You Cry”

“He plays a kid who refuses to go down, ” Allison Janney, who plays his mom, said earlier this week at the premiere of her latest flick, The Help. “He’s a kid that gets tortured by all the kids at school—endlessly and mercilessly.

“But he refuses to disintegrate and it makes him stronger and he’s sort of impenetrable, ” she continued. “And it’s also sort of heartbreaking. It will make you cry.”
