I love you Q3 but I don't see the fact Adam is driving one is going to impact Mustang car sales by THAT much - Ford got the primary bang for their buck in their overall involvement as a sponsor of the show and the weekly videos - the Fusion and Fusion Hybrid is going to sell more with the overall demographic of Idol than the Mustang, because of cost and because Hybrid makes you a good citizen of the world. The Mustang is a fun car for people who can still afford fun cars along with the insurance. Sporty car always equal higher insurance premium or it does here.

Have you ever bought a car because your favourite celebrity is driving it? I certainly have not. Now I will admit the Escalade has benefitted from being the favoured car of the hip hop rapper set but that is because all those guys were featuring those cars in videos and singing about Escalades so the brand name was being repeated constantly - but it also means the Escalade is the favourite target of thieves, certainly is around here. Maybe Ford needs a new hip artist to sing about Ford Mustangs. Plus there are probably more celebrities driving Hybrid cars right now than other cars or at least they make sure they are seen driving their Hybrid cars around Hollywood - the list is long, I remember at least one of the magazines did an article on it.

Mustangs, even the cheapest model, are not cheap and I suspect males of a certain age are the primary buyers and those are not Idol watchers nor the kind of guys impressed by who else is driving the Mustang and certainly not be impressed that an Idol runnerup is driving it, they are more concerned about impressing the neighbour down the road or reliving their youth when perhaps they owned a Mustang. And yes there are women out there driving Mustangs too, of all ages. Because it is a pretty car with history.

Ryan Adams and Jack White are like walking encylopedias of rock's best, starting with their heavy Dylan influence. Just wonderful to find such creativity.

thanks hwc for helping me discover ryan adams. i start the day by listening to When The Stars Go Blue :-) any other similar artists you recommend?

Short, amusing interview of Chris Daughtry in current Newsweek. He talks about twitter, Kris and Adam, and a few other things.

I don't know why that reporter decided to dredge up that old interview, it's kind of irritating because people with less than stellar reading comprehension skills may come away with the idea that this is still on Danny's mind, when what it is is that the whole 'could a gay guy win' thing is still on the reporter's mind.

This. It is an old interview and we already had an article just a week or so ago bringing up the same quotes, but also with alot of the author's slant in it that people seemed to confuse for Danny's current sentiments.

I agree that Danny was responding to a specific question. He has never done anything but compliment Adam as a singer/artist....and compliment him highly. While I don't necessarily know who would have won if it had come down to Adam and Danny, I do think Danny would have had a good chance. People who want to say that Kris's fans would not vote for Danny because Adam and Kris are such good friends, seem to not realize that the casual veiwer would have no idea based on just watching the show alone that Adam and Kris were such good friends. IT's the Internet peeps that know and care who is friends with whom. And I personally think the the outcome is based more on casual veiwers. Heck, we already know that if the obsessed Internet peeps decided the outcome, Danny would never have made top 3.

Josie, I had to lol at your comment that you read the Danny articles very carefully so that you know what you are going to have to deal with. Word.

Just curious why Anoop has not been a 'suspect.'

During Adam's hometown visit, an interviewer brought up Anoop, saying something along the lines of, "We talked to Anoop Desai and he said..." and Adam interrupted to say, very enthusiastically, "I love Anoop!" Also, he talked about how one of his favorite non-performance moments during the show was the time that he, Anoop, Kris, and Lil just hung out and talked about life for hours after the show. There's also Anoop pointing and agreeing with the others when, during the Idol Extra interview with the top 7, they say that Adam is the main person they go to for advice or comfort. In the same interview, Anoop mentions that Adam had helped him with song choice a few times. Also, when asked during one of his post-idol interviews about his favorite performance from another contestant, Anoop said it was Adam's ACIGC and talked about how it gave him chills.

I don't know why I remember all this, but I guess it just seems like there's a lot of evidence that Anoop and Adam like each other.

OK in the great mystery of who doesn't get along with Adam, scratch off Danny.
The list is getting shorter everyday.

Not: Anoop, Megan, Lil, Kris, his sister Alison, Danny, Michael

Really doubt it, but no proof yet: Matt

Probable: Scott

Looks like MJ is right again!

Just curious why Anoop has not been a "suspect." I like Anoop but I have noticed that he has one of those frat boy smart mouth personalities, at least it seemed that way several times when he was not given very good reviews by the Judges. I have always wondered if he was the one... intellectual, only child, college MBA, etc. maybe he kind of smarted off a few times at the whole glam nail polish thing... Just curious.

lavender1960
What I do not understand is how it is that Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman ends up on the US rock charts and rock radio formats along with AC and Hot AC but the same rock stations scoff at the Idol rockers - hypocrisy really.

I find the whole Nickelback/ToaD [.....'ToaD', ROFL!!!] quite amusing, being a Canadian. I myself cannot tell them (and several other bands) apart (partly because I just never listen to them and rarely listen to the radio). I find the love/hate ratio for bands of this ilk within Canada to be pretty even. I know people who absolutely LOVE them, and others like my brother, who hates Nickelback with the white hot heat of a thousand suns. He once had to endure a 5-hour roadtrip with the frontseat passenger insisting on playing Nickelback the entire way. He said the only reason he survived was sitting in the back drinking copious amounts of beer. LOL!
