American Idol finialist Phil Stacey took the main stage at Riverbend for family night. Tuesday night’s headliner was Jars of Clay, but before they performed, Phil Stacey sang the national anthem.

He says he’s glad to be back home. Stacey sings in the Navy and attended Lee Univeristy in Cleveland. We spoke to many American Idol and Phil Stacy fans at Riverbend. They say they’re glad to see him back in the Tennessee Valley.

He says he was filled with excitement as he took the stage and thanked his fans for supporting him. Wednesday Stacey leaves to meet up with the American Idol tour.

Have to admit I’m a Chris Daughtry rock chick, when it comes to last year’s American Idols.

Like other Idols fans, I was shocked when Daughtry lost that vote and ended up in fourth place.

He wuz robbed, but there you are, of late, he’s become the best-selling Idols contestant and he’s nabbed a role in a movie called Jumper, due out next year. Talent will out.

Of course, this is not to say that “soul patroller” American Idols winner, Taylor Hicks, couldn’t hack it, it was his country and western/bluesy/jazzy delivery which brought in his votes and this debut album, should please Hicks fans ….

    I say, most likely, a tired TV format. However, I believe, and hope, that diverse personalities and great talent of the contestants (on which the show can and should focus) may yet “save” the coming season(s).

    LOL @ Blake in the National Enquirer. :rolleyes_tb: That’s the first negative fan encounter I’ve heard, so I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, especially considering the source. He and Chris Richardson went to a John Mayer concert in Vegas this past Friday night, and they reportedly signed autographs/took pics with anyone that asked. The only complaint I saw was from a John Mayer fan that was annoyed at how many people were paying more attention to Blake and Chris than JM, heh.

    The Kelly situation is amazing. I didn’t like “Never Again” at first, but it’s actually grown on me. I need to find a link to listen to the leaked version of her album…

    That happened with me too on NA, so I was prepared to buy her album. Then I heard a few of the leaked songs, and they are really not too good, except for “Sober”. I think I will hold off buying it now.

    I think the mention about American Idol and being the runner up is there way of showing she’s a singer. She’s travelling to Europe to promote her album shortly (as well as Australia)

    I just pulled in a few favours and talked to my insiders so that MJs could get the scoop on this one…he is playing a demon. “When Griffin [the teenager] accidently teleports into Hell (aka the offices of Clive Davis) he encounters a demon who scares him from pursuing a career in music when the term ‘recoupment’ is explained”.     Boulder – LMAO – you’re funny. Maybe Chris will be the guy singing in the band in the background in some scene? He doesn’t really strike me as the actor type. So, I’m guessing it’s some kind of musical performance.

    Everything I’ve seen about Blake has indicated that he’s a nice guy. So, I’m inclined not to believe the silly enquirer story. Especially since it’s from the National Enquirer for crying out loud. Or maybe the older ladies were hardcore Claymates or bedazzled Soul Patrollers and he panicked LOL.

    The label doesn’t want to pay for 6 other people to fly. Rihanna does the same thing, so I don’t see it as that big of a deal. She said she’d be doing radio tours all summer so she has to finish doing ones in the states that she’s booked for (she’s now booked into August) and then she’ll be in Europe and Australia to promote her record.
    If the best thing reviewers can pick on is that they don’t like her backtrack, i’d say that’s great.

    Nope Chris said in an interview Monday on Rockline radio said that he didn’t write a song for a soundtrack for a movie.

    The “Chris in a Movie” rumor was also said by the big radio station in Boston. They too said he will be in the movie “Jumper”. This rumor has been known at various Chris fan sites for awhile actually but I never put it here since it wasn’t corroborated.

    I will see if I can find more info on it.

    In terms of Chris not being an actor type. Chris took acting in high school and was in his high school musicals and plays. Chris wanted to either be a cartoonist/comic book artist or an actor/action hero before he got into singing.

    Great news about MacKenzie. I’m so happy for her, her family, Ace and all who were concerned for her. After the bad news that Elliott’s fan with cancer died last week, this news is very much welcomed.

    Chris D’s fan, Boey, has had a reoccurance of cancer and is on chemo & radiation but they’re not giving up. I feel so bad for her and her family but she’s a fighter.

    Steve O could comfirm but Chris Sligh hasn’t signed a new deal yet. I just read on his blog that he won’t be able to hire management or sign with a record company until Aug. 23 which is 3 months since the finale. That’s his album that was alread out and available on Amazon.

    Hi……….I am sorry to hear that one of the cancer patients that we read about here is not doing so well, but happy for the one who is. It is such a terrible disease and the idols have become attached to these fans, understandably.
    I am just leaving a message for Taylor fans who are also on the boogie boards or TMSO. There are some really amazing pictures of Taylor with David Robinson and Bill Walton at the NBA Hall of Fame. (6’1” is a shrimp compared to those guys) These pics were taken yesterday or today.
