I thought the very same thing when I read the comment about the three yr. old.

It seems she has the ability to draw both male and female fans so this is really a good thing. Go Mamasox!!

Played my Crystal CD in the car for my 3 year old son who never likes anything but kid music.. . .“saved” came on, and when Crystal started rocking the blues he said “Daddy, this is really fun music!” . . .Then he had me play the song over again 3 times more as we danced and drove. It was AWESOME!

What really hits me hardest is that this song is clearly an autobiographical account of her abuse at the hands of either her mother or stepfather, and it just really breaks me up as a father of a little girl to think anyone could do something so unforgivable to their child. I’m so, so proud of her, and really want to thank American Idol for introducing her to me.

This original Crystal song really chokes me up every time I hear it. I hope Crystal puts it on her 1st album.

I discovered Crystal very late in the show, after watching her video at 13 in fact, just before her Top 2 performance! Before that, I felt like she deserved to win but didn’t feel part of her journey. Now I think she’s in a league of her own and can’t wait to see her succeed.

Opening acts never (to my knowledge) perform WITH the headliner. So Adam would just be another opening act for the diehard fans of the main act.

Well I can’t speak for other artists but I know already that when Kris was opening for Keith Urban – Keith asked Kris back to sing with him during his set – the same thing happened at the Lady A concert.He sang at a concert with Pat Monahan from Train where there were mostly Train fans & I am sure Daughtry will ask Kris to sing Send Me All Your Angels as they co-wrote that song. So maybe Kris has already broken the mould!![lol]
I for one am really happy that Kris is both Headlining & Opening for great acts as it gives him the opportunity not just to play for diehard fans but to attract new ones from fans of the Headliners
[ which has already happened from the Keith Urban & Lady A concerts]

Why does anyone care how big or famous these contestants become? As far as I’m concerned it’s all about the music that I look forward to buying and enjoying, and absolutely nothing else.

Sadly some people believe that what the media and visual entertainment industry says and proclaims is how we should feel in our average everyday lives. We can’t possibly know what we like without their input. Sadly this doesn’t only apply to what type of entertainment we should enjoy, but much more important issues in life.

So unless someone or something is being proclaimed as good by these people, it’s pretty much worthless.

However, I tend to agree with you and thankfully so do others. That’s why someone like Crystal will be just fine even though it may not be proclaimed as such all over the TV, internet, etc. Isn’t it amazing how many people survive and can be content w/o that ‘fame’ word? Perhaps they’re even better off for it.

Oh, I also think getting to number one or two in a contest amongst thousands is pretty cool!
