ABDUL OPEN TO ADOPTION

American Idol judge PAULA ABDUL is considering adoption if she is unable to have her own children biologically.
The single 44-year-old wants to raise a child with a father figure, but if she fails to find a suitable man before it is physically impossible for her to get pregnant, she will adopt.
Abdul says, “With medical technology these days, I could have children by myself using a donor. But I would rather be in a relationship so the child has a father to help instill core values.
“If it’s meant for me to have children naturally, I absolutely will. I love kids, I really do. And kids love me.
“I’m so open to the idea of adoption. But, again, I would like to be able to share the raising of the children.”

I don’t agree with the video, or with what they’re trying to do (the Kat Pack) it’s not going to change anything. The best the fans can do right now is help make Kat a success because then you know AI will be tripping over their feet to boost about her like they do with anyone who did nothing, then all of a sudden is a big star (cough J-HUD cough) I’m surprised they didn’t get her up there to sing And I am Telling You (hopefully with Lakisha)

Well Radname, the anonymous gabbers have begun giving us news flashes in chat. They are quick little blurbs, all in caps, and we had a news alert on this very subject last night. It went something like this:

ATTENTION: PROJECT KIT KAT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. PLEASE LOOK FOR KATHARINE MCPHEE IN HER UPCOMING MOVIE.

And, I’m not kidding. I cannot attest to the validity of the cancellation, since Gabber896 didn’t leave his or her credentials, but there you have it.

I believe we also had an Elliott news flash, but alas I cannot recall it’s subject matter.

The people on that video sound young – maybe high school age? They did do a great job I must say. Although they should probably watch all that copyright infringement. I don’t know how many places they’re posting that kit kat logo but they should probably be careful before they get sued.

LOL, no Rad, that wasn’t what I was saying. What I was trying to say was that I was impressed with the little video they made for people who sounded so young. Spending the last decade training middle aged salespeople to use software gives me a unique appreciation for the younger generation’s coumputer skills. I don’t know if it’s really cancelled because believe it or not some radio stations are getting behind the project. I hope the Fox execs are hungry.

Yea, I was gonna say, they should have booked Taylor instead.
But Kat needs to shut up. Declaring “that was lame” is very bitchy. Granted she was probably pissed that people didn’t even clap which is kind of rude, but still, shut up.
Kat needs to start whoreing herself out. Go to some red-carpets, go shopping on robertson, etc. She’s not a very popular person so if she wants to be famous I suggest she try the Paris Hilton route.

  • Nostradamas

Sounds like it’s more of a dis to the Socialist candidate Clinton than to Kat….Hillary doesn’t seem to appeal to the younger crowd….amongst many others…..this seemed to be the theme of the review.

  • SpenserJ

Let me say that I for one am glad Kat appeared at this event – lukewarm response or not. I applaud any efforts to get young people involved in politics, regardless of what side of the fence those efforts are coming from. I’d love to see more people 18 – 30 start to vote, so I give them credit for having the event and I give Kat credit for participating. Having said that, why was the senator in the ugly red suit yelling at me? And, why was she wearing the ugly red suit? If you invite young people to an event and tell them to wear jeans, the speakers themselves should be dressed casually as well.

I also think that Kat’s lame comment was an attempt to be funny, a little banter I guess. She probably wasn’t trying to be bitchy, she just needs a little help with her comic timing. And well, she was sort of right – that crowd was pretty lame.

I am in complete agreement with Afan on the kit kat thing. I just didn’t want to say it out loud, so thanks for taking care of that for me Afan :)

Indeed Bobbi. Why are politicians so afraid to look like the rest of us? Washington is like the land of bad man hair. A bunch of 60 year old white men running around Aqua Netted to within an inch of their lives. And the female politicians all trying to out frumpy each other. Ugh

Ok. IMHO. When Kat pointed toward the back of the crowd and said “You in the back let me hear it” and didn’t really get a response, and then she said “That was lame, I have to admit” I believe she was talking about herself making the comment about hey you in the back. Watch in again, I think you’ll agree.

I think she is snarking on herself, not the people in the crowd.

Here’s an interesting article on Live Nation’s possible sale of a few of its concert sheds:

    http://cbs2chicago.com/local/local_story_157131500.html

Only 13 concerts have been scheduled for the current season.

“The reason we’re booking fewer shows is there are not as many shows this year we can fill the amphitheater with,” Shaw said. “It has nothing to do with it being for sale.”

True, it is up to the artists whether they want to be on stage with bugs and humidity or bask in air conditioning.

Kelly Clarkson, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are among the summer’s major touring acts opting for the Allstate Arena, United Center and other indoor venues instead of sheds.

BL: [Chuckles] I was never there with her. People get stuff out of context. I was at that club many times and sheà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s always there, Paris is always somewhere. But if sheà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s there, Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m like [sarcastically] à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“woopie, cool, good for her.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m not a fan. Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m not going to lie about it. If theyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢re not nice to you on the first impression, theyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢re probably not going to be nice to you on the second. I choose not to hang out with those people.

    I heart Blake.

ETA: OH, and yes, Sarah, your snark-o-meter is just fine. Like Spense said, I just like spreading rumors. ;-)

You know, I feel sorry for kat — how embarrassing. There’s more enthusiasm when an Elvis Impersonator visits a nursing home than any displayed by that crowd. Boy, DC sure knows how to rock it!

Someone, please, put Barbara Mikulski out to pasture….way past her time.

Considering my Gramma loves Elvis and is an retirement home, I think there would be a lot more enthusiam for an Elvis Impersonator in a nursing home then you may think (although my Gramma also says she’ll never watch an Impersonator because they’re never as good as the real thing.)
I agree with Nostradamus though, I think all the comments in the DC article were meant as pot shots to Hilary, not necessairly Kat or anyone else.

    Jadore,

Thank you for the Kelly Clarkson article. I’ve always liked her voice, but knew little of her. Now that I’ve read more about her, I adore her!

You’re welcome, hickifino. I thought it was so cool of her to stand up to her label when they wanted her to sing her current single on Idol Gives Back:

“My label wanted me to sing ‘Never Again,’” she says. “And I was like, To promote yourself on a charity event is beyond crass. People are starving and dying and I’m up there singing some bitter pop song? And believe me, everyone wanted me to sing it. Because they are jaded and they have no soul. Imagine sitting in a room full of people totally against you. Can’t they hear themselves speaking? Capitalize on AIDS? Are you kidding? Insulting an entire nation of people? I just refused.”
