X Factor live auditions are underway in Chicago: Paula Abdul tweets, “”I love what #GLEE has done for young people.” — @PaulaAbdul on an audition that reminded her of @GLEEonFOX.”

Casey Abrams tweeted last night after Haley’s elimination, “Haley did awesome last night, she left in style. couldn’t be happier for her.”

Diana is cancelling her 9 to 5 performance tonight in Dallas, “Sorry y’all, but no “9 to 5″ for me in Dallas tonight. My head & neck got a pretty bad whack in the accident last night. So I am going to rest for tonight’s show so I can bulldoze through this weekend. Thanks for understand everybody. Xoxo,D”

Diana DeGarmo has a bumpy ride (literally) on the way to Pittsburgh

The voice on the other end of the phone was hoarse and not exactly what I’d expected, and with good reason. Diana DeGarmo was recovering from a car accident last night.

“We were on the exit ramp and everyone started hitting one another and it was a domino effect,” she said. “I turned around to hear tires screeching and just in time to see a semi clip this other car and to say, ‘We’re about to be …,’ ” and the she made a little “pfft” noise. DeGarmo was still a little groggy this afternoon, with “a good goose egg” bump from hitting the back of her head on the back seat.

Today she tweeted: It’s always slightly awkward when the EMT checking you out for injuries recognizes you…. but then it’s kinda funny. Welcome to my life.

Haley Reinhart’s Hometown Supporters Thought She’d Make ‘American Idol’ Finale

Scotty McCreery skips baseball for American Idol

Today he is much better known as one of the 12 finalists on the current Fox television hit show American Idol, and he conceivably might never pitch a regular-season game for the Garner varsity.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound junior right-hander compiled a 6-1 record with a superb 1.07 earned run average as a sophomore for the Garner JV team. As a freshman he had a 4-0 record with a 3.20 ERA. He spun a shutout during his final start for the varsity in the summer league prior to his junior year.

American singer Kelly Rowland confirmed as new judge on The X Factor

American pop star Kelly Rowland is to join hit TV show the X Factor.

The singer, 30, is expected to be formally announced as joining the show as a new judge in the coming days. The decision comes just day after Dannii Minogue surprisingly left the hugely popular ITV series.

Today, Miss Rowland expressed her excitement at joining the show.

Take That star Gary Barlow has already been confirmed to appear in the series. And Tulisa Constavolos – from pop band N-Dubz – is also due to be announced.

They will join Louis Walsh, a long-running judge on the programme.

‘Glee’s’ Darren Criss models summer wedding fashion for GQ

In a new interview and pictorial for GQ, “Glee” star Darren Criss talks about his pre-”Glee” claim to fame – starring as Harry Potter in a musical parody viral video. He says, “I never imagined it would be viewed by teenagers in Australia.”

Darren also talks about how the popularity of his character Blaine and the Warblers from Dalton Academy have definitely upped his status on the set. “You get a trailer on-set. You get treated really well.” We would imagine you do, yes. Speaking of Blaine, he was recently named to GQ’s recent 25 Most Stylish Men on TV.

    Sounds like Diana had a pretty intense experience last night. I was in a major accident myself 5 years ago, and even without life threatening injuries I felt like crap for a couple weeks afterwards.

    Anthony’s a nice guy but I’ll never understand why he let 6 years go by without getting something out there.

    also, from the hints Andy [Davis, MEF's founder] dropped on twitter today, seems like a phone meeting between Kris & stevie Van Zandt got postponed so Kris could take part in a meeting about “a finale”.

    So it seems like there might be some sort of participation by at least some of the ex-Idols on the Wednesday finale

    Not to be picky but it seems that many articles have mistaken Allen’s platinum single LLWD for his actual album. I’ve seen it referenced several times this way. Not taking anything away from the fact that the single went platinum but it’s quite advantageous for it to be mistaken for the album going platinum.

    Variety has a season by season recap with extra info on each of the winners plus an interview with Simon Fuller and an article about how AI changed TV. I’m posting the general link. Season 1′s article includes a RCA exec Tom Corson’s comments on Kelly’s upcoming album. Season 4 has comments from Bo and Constantine and Seasons 5-8 have comments from the season winners.

    Kellie Pickler news!! BNA put a teaser ad in today’s Country Aircheck for her single Tough so it looks like it really is going to radio soon. I’m guessing around May 30th with an adds date June 6th or June 13th.

    HQ picture of Carrie playing the Toys R Us Children’s Fund Gala last night in NYC. We don’t know much about it other than Holly Robinson Peete’s tweet that was posted in headlines this morning and that people like Jimmy Fallon, Shaq, Martin Short, and Nathan Lane were there. Carrie’s backup singer tweeted that Shaq was in the front row jamming to her set.

    Here’s a twitpic from today of Carrie and Mike in Nashville. Mike’s recovering from shoulder surgery that he had Monday to fix an injury he’d been playing through since November. Carrie mentioned in her blog how she’d committed to the New York gala a long time ago without knowing it’d be bad timing with her playing nurse to Mike.

    According to this tweet from the VP Media Relations for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame both Ryan Seacrest and Carrie will be speaking at Simon Fuller’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony. Carrie also took out a full page ad in The Hollywood Reporter to congratulate and thank both Simon Fuller and American Idol.

    I went to the Siobhan Magnus show at the Mohegan Sun Casino in CT tonight. It was a free show, q & a, and m&g. She did 4 songs with tracks, she didn’t have a band. The stage is set up where the shopping area is in the casino.

    Anyway, the first three songs were covers. She did Maria by Blondie, I’m the Only one by Melissa Etheridge, and Superstition. Then she did her new single, Beatrice Dreams. I did get video of that, which I’ll post, I thought I got the others also, but it didn’t work. She sounded good. From what people were saying she has some other shows in Massachucetts soon.

    A lot of the questions she was asked were about AI. Someone asked who her favorite of the top 10 was, and she said Jacob. She was also asked who she thought would win, and she said she thought it would probably be Scotty but was kind of hoping for Lauren, because she’s not sure if a woman could win Idol anymore, and would like it if they proved her wrong. She was also asked some questions on what it was like being on Idol, and how hard it was. Then she signed some autographs. SHe had a pretty good turnout also.

    No this is about Kris. David does not work with Music Empowers Like Kris has/is doing. Andy had tweeted earlier that they were meeting to discuss future projects with Steve & Kris. Steve Van Zandt attended the Berklee show in NY a few weeks back & met Kris. Steve’s wife is a big Kris fan and Kris won Steve over with his cover of Stand By Me at the Berklee show.

    Nope, it’s about Kris. He just met up with Van Zandt & VZ’s wife in NY a couple of weeks ago when Kris was doing his mini-tour with the Berklee Music City kids to raise $ for MEF. Kris has been doing a ton of work with MEF, and reportedly when he met with Van Zandt, they discussed possibly working together.

    I was scrolling my TV Guide and I did not see any AI red carpet at all on channel E or TV Guide for Wed May 25.
    Usually they have it at 3:00 pm PST. I hope that there will be one because I love seeing that.

    I felt so bad that David Cook wasn’t at the celebration of the Finale last year. Here’s hoping all 10 Idol winners will be there!

    It would be great to see James performing with Steven Tyler! I still wish he had made the Finals.
