‘American Idol’: Phillip Phillips says his girlfriend is proud of his success – A few weeks ago on “American Idol,” Jimmy Iovine said that Phillip Phillips and Colton Dixon were splitting the teen girl vote. Now that Dixon’s out, that leaves Phillips as the resident heartthrob left — but after discussing his girlfriend with Ryan Seacrest on the Top 5 performance show, will the girls stop voting? “It doesn’t matter, man,” Phillips tells Zap2it of fans seeing his girlfriend in the audience. “If it does, then they weren’t really liking the music. I’m trying to get the music out there. I’m not trying to be some boy that tries to look good or anything. I want the music to speak first.” – Read more at Zap2it

‘American Idol’ Judges Love Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez; Musicians Flip for Phillip Phillips: What You Didn’t See on TV – The awkward vibe of Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips’ duet began during the commercial break as the two were chaperoned to stage left for their introduction. Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the studio, the band was already practicing “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” taking away from the sense of surprise. Still, it sounded pretty good in the studio, if slightly disjointed. And there was one sweet moment when Phillip, upon noticing a sign from the back row that read “Phillip’s #1 fan,” busted out an ear-to-ear aw shucks grin. – Hollywood Reporter

‘Glee’ Music Honcho Adam Anders Responds to Gotye’s Cover Criticism – In a conversation last night with The Hollywood Reporter, Glee’s Executive Music Producer Adam Anders said that he was fine with the criticism — in part because it was out of his hands. “I have no problem with what he said,” Anders told THR. “The reality is, it was drier in the show. The problem is, you have a director who is trying to serve a storyline in the show and then I deliver the way I hear it and he did his thing. If I had written a song and obviously it’s a very precious song to him and it should be, it’s one of my favorite songs to come along in a long long time. You know we painstakingly recreated that track and I absolutely love how it turned out. Like I said, if you listen to the iTunes version, I think it’s very true to his.” – The Hollywood Reporter
