He couldn’t even get through the rehearsal…We’ve been through a long journey.” Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays “Tina,” revealed that part of the emotional atmosphere stems from the uncertainty of where the show is headed. “We’re excited about next year but we also don’t know what’s going to happen. Cheryl Cole’s new music video:

Hopefully this works for viewers from the US. If not, I can rip it and upload to twitvid.

  • Tess

This makes Jennifer Lopez’s material seem like Oscar worthy in comparison.  Isn’t Ms Cole’s 15 minutes up yet?

  • Sassycatz

Hmm, 50% writhing against a wall; 49% shaking ones booty; 1% singing (via autotune).

  • Mateja Praznik

Nope. She’s been around for about … 10 years. Okay, not as a solo artist, but part of Girls Aloud.

  • MADEitTO20nowWAT

Love it. Love her! Hope it’s a worldwide smash.

  • MADEitTO20nowWAT

she’s one of the biggest UK celebrities for the past DECADE….

  • Mateja Praznik

Rumors are, Simon Cowell is trying to get Dannii Minogue back on X Factor UK.  And Gary Barlow is now following her on Twitter. Hmmm.

  • Tess

She might be infamous but not “famous”.  Being in a girl band, marrying (and divorcing) a soccer guy, having an affair with Simon, and hyping her tits and ass does not “famous” make.  She flopped in the US and I only “read” about her on gossip and rag sites (my secret addiction….um, not so secret anymore).  Oh, and has she learned to speak English yet? Doesn’t she have an unintelligible Geordie (sp) accent?

  • Mateja Praznik

Cheryl did not have an affair with Simon and she has yet to release music in the US.

  • MADEitTO20nowWAT

um no, she has a huge career in pop music besides XF UK, first in girl band, later as a solo artist. We’re talking No.1 hits and multi-platinum albums.

Oh, and has she learned to speak English yet? Doesn’t she have an unintelligible Geordie (sp) accent?

    xenophobic much? vom

She might be infamous but not “famous”.

Yes. She is  famous, overseas. And as we’re constantly reminded, that counts.  She’s had a ton of hit records, most notably with Girls Aloud, in the UK

  • Emily

she speaks perfectly fine English. Her accent is thick, yes, but I’ve never had any problems understanding her. (not a fan, but I don’t think her accent is any worse than someone with a deep Southern accent, etc. It’s like listening to a new style of music: at first it’s jarring, and then once your ears are attuned, you can begin to understand.)

    Cheryl is hugely famous overseas

Tess: This makes Jennifer Lopez’s material seem like Oscar worthy in comparison

Haven’t you heard? Rihanna (and I assume by extension JLo and Ms. Cole, et al) are better than The Rolling Stones and The Beatles! No, really:

When it was suggested to him that the 1960s were a golden age of music,
he said: “I actually think today’s artists are better than those of

“The Beatles and the Stones just stood there with guitars and sang.

“These days, people like Rihanna can sing and dance and do everything.”

Maybe I should go weep into my ancient LPs.

Also, you kids better get off my lawn! *shakes cane*

ETA: The last part of my post disappeared. Oops.

I could make a lot of comments on the current music scene or whatever, but I wont. I’ll just say that my own personal tastes are quite different than the DJ quoted in that article, I guess. Maybe that’s part of the appeal of Idol. There are so many people on the show, like them or not, that can really sing.

And Cheryl is very pretty and I don’t have any problems understanding her. But her music isn’t my cuppa. ;)

And now Perez posted a video of BSB doing a tribute to 1D:

Oh and Kevin is coming back to BSB now.
