World Malaria Day: The Faces Behind The Numbers by Katharine McPhee – I recently went on a trip to multiple locations in Africa, where I learned that although I can’t save the world, I can help save one life. I got more excited — and nervous (mainly because I don’t love to fly) — as the big day approached. The travel doctor loaded us up on vaccinations; I think I got seven shots in all. There were Band-Aids up and down both arms, and she prescribed anti-malaria medication.- Read more at Huffington Post

Kelly Clarkson: From ‘American Idol’ to ‘The Voice’ to ‘Duets’ – ‘I’m super proud’ – “It’s been a misunderstanding that everybody always thinks I’m trying to get away” from such contests, the friendly Clarkson tells Zap2it. “I’m super-proud of how I got in the business, especially a business where there’s a lack of funds there used to be. There’s no artist development anymore; if you don’t make it right off the bat with a No. 1 hit, labels drop you. “I don’t think that; I know that,” Clarkson insists. “I have friends that’s happened to. This is a great way to get into the business. You’re on national television and you’re in people’s houses, and if people like you, you have a fan base even before you have a record out.” – Read more at Zap2it

Carrie Underwood on Having Kids, Marriage and Her ‘Emotional’ New Single – She’s had more success than she’d ever dreamed of, but at 29, country sensation Carrie Underwood is grappling with the same question every career-driven woman considers: When is the right time to start a family? “To be honest, one day I’m absolutely fine and happy and, you know, start legitimately thinking about the idea of having kids, and the other day, I’m like ‘oh gosh, no, no, what?’ I can barely keep my own schedule straight,” said Underwood, who married pro hockey player Mike Fisher in 2010. – Read more at ABC News

Ryan Seacrest: 5 Things I Learned From Dick Clark – When I was a kid, I would study his ease and comfort in front of the camera on American Bandstand. He made it look so easy! It was only later that I learned just how hard it is to be in front of the camera and to maintain your cool. Even after my nearly 15 years on TV, I still marvel at Dick’s skill and flair and find it beyond surreal to be even mentioned in the same sentence as him the past few days. I don’t know if I’ll ever be as good as he was, but I will definitely try. All I do know right now is that I am still striving to be “Dick Clark cool.” – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

‘The Voice’s’ Carson Daly on Tony Lucca’s Performance, Christina Aguilera’s New Look and Britney Spears’ ‘X Factor’ Spot – “From where I’m sitting and I know Tony well, Peter Gabriel didn’t quite work out for him,” he added. “I think he needed to come back last night with a home run or he faced instant elimination so it was really, really gutsy to do that Britney Spears cover.” He added that when they watched Lucca perform the song in rehearsal, he thought, “this is either gonna kill or this is gonna bomb and Christina’s going to rip him the new one.” – The Hollywood Reporter

Lindsay Lohan Late for ‘Glee’ After a Night Out – Lindsay Lohan was late this morning for her guest appearance on “Glee” … following a night out on the town. Coincidence? Dot Marie Jones — who plays Coach Beiste on the show — tweeted, “Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things. Not cool! I’d rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late!” Dot didn’t say who was late, but we’ve confirmed the person MIA was LiLo. – Read more at TMZ

Wasn’t sure where to post this but thought some might find it interesting.  I am from the area where Jermaine Jones is from, and tonight right after Idol he was on the local news saying that he told the producers of Idol everything about his prior legal troubles when he auditioned and they told him it was all fine as long as he was taking care of the things he needed to do (fines & court appearances) and he said he really thought they were all like family, but then they suddenly turned on him and booted him off the show.  He also said the stuff that was said about his father was totally untrue (I don’t even know what that stuff was).  He did go on to say that he is still grateful for being on Idol because there are a lot of people who have been really supportive of him having a singing career since he was on the show.  Also he said he is working on and recording a single that will be out soon and is giving a concert in Philadelphia soon.

No offense to Jermaine, but it’s hard to believe the word of someone who has give false names to the police on more than one occasion, even though the things that he was being accused of weren’t that serious.  The producers of AI aren’t beyond doing skeevy things, but neither is he.

All the write-ups from James concerts so far are “to be proud of” — this one especially good:
FMX 94.5 — (article title) Best In Show At X-Fest 9
By: Rooster   2 days ago All 3 headlining bands at X-Fest gave everyone of us exactly what we wanted to see in a live show. But the man that impressed me beyond my expectations was James Durbin both on and off the stage.I had the opportunity to meet James Durbin along with my 14 year old sister. She loves her some James Durbin. From the moment that James and his tour manager came out he was very cool and professional. He knew how to handle himself in front of a 14 year old fan. But not just that when my bro and I came up to take our photo and visit a little bit he changed gears and was just like another bro, very cool cracking jokes and being very down to earth. James Durbin is a rockstar, the way they are suppose to act.I thank him for being very cool with my little sister and the other little ones that were there as well.If you missed James Durbin live for the after party then you missed one hell of a rock show. James Durbin owned it from the time he took the stage until his closing song.James Durbin stage presence was one playing front of 10,000 people and I would see again in a heart beat.  Me:  (Don’t know what size James’ audience was but the headliners were:  Godsmack & Staind. Halestorm the featured band and Man Made Machine opened).

Shiny Kris pics are shiny…That’s all I got for now. Since I’m currently being blinded by the sexy…

Loved the behind the scenes of the album shoot vid too. Was nice to see Zorro move for once(As opposed to seeing him only in pics. He’s really photogenic in both forms though.)and seeing Kris temporarily shirtless was a nice surprise. ;)

That sounds great! I hope some wonderful opportunities come out of this appearance for the two of them.

Okay…I’m just going to come out and say it. Haley…Kris…Please take a nice pic together soon. So many meetings/gigs together and still nothing? I know you two are busy, but come on. You guys are killing me here. Especially you Kris. You(and your wife)were a Haley fan last year so I expected more from you. :P Sigh. With their albums being released at the same time chances are they’ll have more gigs together so there’s hope. Oh, and they have the same manager too. If worse comes to worse I’m tweeting her. jk

This must be what it feels like for those who are still waiting for a decent pic of Kelly and Carrie. lol

I begin to understand why Nigel and Ken recorded and aired their confrontation with Jermaine. They must have had previous experiences with liars before:

Nigel: Why couldn’t you tell us any of this about beforehand?
Jermaine: I mean…I just…I just was scared, nervous. I didn’t want to get judged. I didn’t want to get penalized for anything that just happened in the past. I was just hoping I could just pay it, you know, and get it taken care of and it just didn’t work out that way.

That’s not the answer to that question I would have given if I had previously told them everything. I would have been “What are you talking about? It’s on page 7 of my disclosure form, moron.” And remember, one of his arrests happened after his auditioned, so it was fairly current.

KelseyW, the Las Vegas show, Haley was at 10:45am and Kris at 03:00 pm, so probably they missed each other. So hopefully they will get their pic together on the next show.

I hope so. They have another radio gig together in Florida with three other artists and based on the pic posted on the 96.9 WINK FM’s site it looks like they might be headlining the event.

Crossing my fingers that they finally take a pic together.
