The entry for David Cook has looked like that on main-stageproductions.com since some time in January IIRC. It seemed as though one day the site said that he could be booked for shows for $10K (IIRC) for venues of 1000 or less, and the very next day, the site said he was fully booked and no longer booking any more shows. This actually makes a lot of sense as I’ve read plenty of articles in the local college’s papers talking about how they were surprised that David could be booked for such a low fee and that they had to act quickly. As for the non-college shows (i.e., casinos), it seemed that those were booked before the college ones because people began seeing notices for them (e.g., Beau Rivage and Ameristar) somewhat simultaneously to people finding the link to Main Stage Productions.

Seriously….I am glad you are Kellie’s most devoted fan. She is very lucky to have you. Are there anymore of you out there?

Haha, I get it. So lower absolute ratings still means the April 8th night was more popular since it had higher ratings relative to the previous night, despite the fact that the previous night’s ratings were *really* low? Hmm, I believe this is what some people call… spin?

It’s true that Starland is configurable, but he could have sold out the place to full capacity–that was the city where he sold out in 4 minutes. I’m not entirely sure why they capped it at 1151. David himself kept saying he wanted to limit the size of his solo shows, and even the E-Center in Utah was configured to around 3500 at first until they allowed it to be expanded to 6500. But you would think, since other stops were over 2000, that they would allow the Starland to go to full capacity.

I’m sorry if I didn’t make myself clear. :sad_wp: What I meant to say is for two weeks in a row the Wednesday result shows had higher ratings than the actual Tuesday judges/performance shows. And the April 1st result show had more viewers than the April 8th result show.

One thing about those figures is that some of the venues actually held and sold 2000 tickets.. why does this place only report half?

Oh… I think you may be referring to Starland Ballroom. From their own site it says:
Starland’s capacity is expandable depending on the show, ticket demand, etc.

It’s true that Starland has sold shows for over 2500 many times, but… David’s show was configured for 1150 and he sold 1151. Perfect size for him!

This is where I get my weekly ratings numbers from. These numbers come from Neilsen. They show Cooks results night to come in 2nd that week. The performance night came in first.

If Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m not mistaken more people are watching the result shows this year than the regular show.

Can this be explained because more people record the performances (in case they want to save any of them) and just watch the results show live? Out of all my friends and family who watch Idol, I am the only one – the only one – who still watches the performance show live.

David Cookà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s results night was #2 in the ratings that week while the performance night was #1.

If I’m not mistaken more people are watching the result shows this year than the regular show.

Their Manila concert has the potential to hold 15,000 or more concert goers.

There’s a zero missing here, I think.
