For ‘Dancing’ contestant Gavin DeGraw, life is ‘Sweeter’ off the dance floor – BURBANK, Calif. — The voters showed they weren’t quite over pop star Gavin DeGraw and pro partner Karina Smirnoff on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” elimination round. Soap star Jack Wagner and his partner were eliminated instead. But even though DeGraw doesn’t admit it, getting booted from “Dancing” probably wouldn’t be a total heartbreaker for the singer-songwriter, whose current album, “Sweeter,” has produced a platinum single, “Not Over You.” What’s more, the title track just dropped as the album’s third single. – Read more at Washington Post

Dancing With the Stars Scoop: Jack Wagner “Shocked” and Sherri Shepherd Getting…Naked? – “We were doing the best we can!” Jack Wagner tells us after getting the ol’ heave-ho off the ballroom floor last night. “We’re disappointed. So it’s us and we move on, life’s not going to end, hopefully. We just take some great memories.” Wagner says this turn of events won’t keep him from dancing, thankyouverymuch.”I’m not letting go of this outfit. The Voice Judges Battle Over the Show’s Breakout Star! Plus, Who Is Blaming Song Choice? – Reggae darling and street performer, Naia Kete, might have dazzled the judges in the blind auditions and battle rounds but her straightforward take on Adele’s “Turning Tables” may have been her downfall. Should she have stuck to her reggae roots? She might not have had a choice! Kete explains: “There are things that need to be cleared, songs that the band needs to learn and that kind of thing. Most of the time you only get a certain amount of songs to pick from.” But that doesn’t explain why Kete didn’t put her signature sound on it: “For this song in particular it was a new thing and we only had enough time to rehearse it once. So it had to be a song that the band already knew and I couldn’t do much to it. I brought what I could in the 15 minutes that I was given in rehearsal.” – Read more at EOnline
