Really? I liked that article. I didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t find it negative at all. So there were a lot non-college fans and a few uber fans, and she noted that. She didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t like Declaration. No big deal. I enjoyed the details she wrote up on both Ryan Star and DCà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s sets. YMMV.

I just found it weird. The article seemed more focused on a t-shirt contest than a concert. Maybe that’s what the writer truly cares about but between any t-shirt contest and any concert, well the concert would by definition give me more to write about.

It's deliberately negative in a too-obvious way, trying to prove how cool the author is, I would guess. There is no real critique of the music itself. It's like she read everything he's been getting crap about and threw it into her report. That Cook article is a piece of very poor college journalism.
