Shannon Magrane promises we haven’t seen the last of her – When Shannon Magrane looks back on what she took away from American Idol, she thinks one memory will particularly stick with her — the reaction from the judges after she sang What a Wonderful World. “That’s probably the best: Remembering that those three iconic people stood up for me in Hollywood and gave me a standing ovation after I sang,” says the 16-year-old Florida teen. – Read more at USAToday

‘American Idol’ Alum Katie Stevens Delivers Spot-On Lana Del Rey Impression (Video) – Stevens filled in for Idol Hangover correspondent Didi Benami, interviewing eliminated contestant Shannon Magrane and fellow Idol alum Chris Daughtry, who performed on the March 15 results show. During the light-hearted discussion, Stevens surprised everyone with her spot-on impression of Lana Del Rey’s single “Video Games.”

Adam Carolla exposes real reason for his Apprentice firing, manipulative editing – Adam Carolla was fired from Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday in a rather strange double firing, when Donald Trump fired him and Michael Andretti, apparently punishing Adam for refusing to lay blame on any of his teammates by firing two people instead of one. In his Tuesday podcast, Adam revealed the real reason why he was fired: Trump didn’t like the structure of the presentation, even though the men did it that way because a producer gave him bad information. – Read more at Reality Blurred

Listened to Casey J’s “Drive” for the first time. I like it!! I hope his career is going to be really good.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Adam’s description of the “creative” editing on the Celebrity Apprentice was interesting and exposes how easy it is to convey a very different impression of what happened vs. the reality.  It sounds like Trump had promised Buick that Michael Andretti would be up front and prominent in promoting/endorsing their new car, so when that didn’t happen, Trump felt compelled to fire Michael.  “Reality television” is rarely representative of true reality.

In his next podcast, Adam reveals that the suits at NBC weren’t happy with him exposing how the show was “cooked”.

I’ll miss Adam on the show.  He was a wise-ass, but his jokes kept things from getting too serious.

  • BonnieDee

Get Well Wishes for Lauren.  :)

I really lik cj drive. But I think recording it this way instead of electeric may have taken it out of contention for a single

  • Anonymous

These Idol kids are tough kids.  Crystal, Casey, and P2 all performed through illness and pain.  David A. just had a tooth pulled the other day and was in the studio shortly after that.  Today he was back at the doctor’s with a dry socket, but he is recording this evening.  They really learn how to perform even when they are sick and in pain.  David only has a few weeks before he leaves, and he is working very hard to get the recording done before he leaves.  What a hard working kid he is!

I hope P2 is able to finish this adventure.  Poor guy!  I am not a fan of his voice, but he seems like a nice guy, and I sure give him props for hanging in there with the problem that he is dealing with.

Nope. I think exactly the opposite. This is more country than many of his live versions.

I would say though that the production does take some chances. CaseyJ could have played it safe and done a Aldean/rocky version. Instead he did Drive like a dirty TX band with a splash of swamp/blues thrown in.

I like an artist who takes some risks.

  • CSFan

I’m really looking forward to Casey’s cd. I always liked him and was sorry he had to endure the shitstorm that was AI season 9.

I’m also looking forward to hearing “Good Goodbye” on Y&R. Diana is so much fun on Y&R so I’m interested to see how the song launches Angelina into a new direction. She and Ace are cute together. I never would have thought to pair them but watching their interview above, you can see the respect and the love they have together.

  • aidancash1

Right it is not as radio friendly as theelectric version. It ha some dinstigueshed guitar licks and there not as noticble as this acoutic version

  • sagi

I think Casey’s next single should be “Love The Way You Miss Me”! That song has been ringing in my head since first listen. I think it would be a big hit.

  • aidancash1

no way. No mid or slow songs coming off ldcian. He has way better material for a summer release. It will probay be the good life workin on it, drive or maybe suitase although for summer probably not

  • sagi

I have never understood the summertime release meme. If a song is great it is going to hit spring, summer, winter,or fall!

  • HotHotHot

Do we know when Haley’s album is coming out? Casey’s is 3/20, right? I must have both of these!!!

  • aidancash1

Most of my reson fora fast song is casey is coming off a midtempo that is justkind of there. He needs something more in your face that will inspire people to buy his cd and next single. Not so much a summertime song. Miss me isnt realyradio single material altough great. So sweet is a lot beter but I have a feeling suitcase will be a single

Archie serenaded the girl he’s in love with on his show today. Ahhhh! Haha, sorry but I can’t. So. Cute. And then he publicly declared his love for her.
    This cheesy show. <3

Lauren does seem to get sick a lot doesn’t she? I wonder if there is an underlying reason. I hope she doesn’t get a reputation.

  • Keyera Mullins

Awww Lauren gets sick so much. Poor girl!! I wonder if it has to do with her asthma?? She probably hated having to cancel.

Crystal Bowersox To Perform at the Walk with Walgreens Benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute

  • Cal Manjunath

No, Lauren doesn’t get sick so much. She’s gonna be fine. I do hope she gets better soon though. No one likes to cancel their shows.

  • Anonymous

Awww…poor Shannon.  She thinks we haven’t heard the last of her.  Something tells me though we probably have, she just doesn’t know it yet.

  • Linda

I was listening to WSTW online to see if TVOL was still a contender in the last song standing, and to my surprise it was and it won over Adele’s song. Yay for Kris! I hope this is just the beginning of a long run for this song.

  • LaurelG

Adam performed a beautiful, mic-less rendition of BTIKM at B96 in Chicago today. This is the top Rhythmic station that Mediabase just switched to Top 40.

  • Anonymous

She really has not been sick much she had bronchities and missed one tour show late summer and now tonight which from one tweet is due to streep throat. Her other issues were strained vocal cords and sprained ankle neither of which caused her to miss any shows. But perceptions are funny and sometime not really based on reality.

  • Niall

On the surface Shannon Magrane seems a bit naive and foolish but on a week where LEAH LABELLE re-emerged with a song produced by Pharrell and Jermaine Dupri, anything truly is possible. Leah Labelle, for heaven’s sake.

The little bit I can hear in the video of Diana’s upcoming single (Good Goodbye) is promising. I might add Y&R to my dvr to check it out on the 23rd.

As far as she and Ace they almost seem permanently attached at the hip. You know that surgery that can be done to separate siamese twins? It seems if a reverse surgery was available, one that allows you to become siamese twins, Ace and Diana would probably be the first ones in line. Heh. They certainly are happy and devoted to one another. Idol love is cute.

The last time I had strep throat, it put me out of commission nearly 2 weeks.  I hope Lauren isn’t off the tour that long.

  • Teresa Renee Parvin

NOOO! I am attending the concert in Kansas City tomorrow night specifically to see Lauren!

  • Anonymous

    A truly beautiful voice.

  • Anonymous

It was indeed a beautiful rendition without the use of a mic, autotune or any other electronic means.  He is on a media blitz.  3/19 in KS & MO for 3 promos, 3/23 one in WA, 3/25-26 in OR for 3, then 3/27 3 in Sac., 3/28 2 in SF, 3/29 one in San Jose.  Not sure if there is anymore down south but I can imagine he probably has received a lot of frequest flier miles……LOL

SF and SJ must have been added after the Sac. ones otherwise he just could have come down the state rather then down then back up and then down again back home.  Then there is a performance on the NewNowNext awards show on 4/9 and probably Idol sometime maybe later in the month

Ooh, that performance from Adam IS very pretty! So tender and heartfelt :) I love how he can spin the same song in so many different shades!

  • Anonymous

That was yet another beautiful performance by Adam. I must say as an avid Adam fan, I am bloody exhausted at the moment. There are just so many radio promo and performance videos to watch and catch up on…..

    Imagine how Adam feels!

CaseyJ played at the Grand Old Opry last night. He did LDCIAN and The Good Life so maybe that’s the second single. I like it alot and would be fine with it but I do believe that Drive has become his signature song and would be slightly bummed that the label didn’t take a chance on it’s uniquiness and send it to radio.

  • asifclueless

    Can’t wait.
Love my jazzy and sexy girl.

Asthmatics do tend to catch bugs more easily.  Its just crappy luck. That said, she should be careful – hand sanitizers when she’s out in public, take her vitamins, keep up her immune system, etc.. But she has to be weery of public image as well, because if people see her wiping her hands or avoiding a hug, then they will call her a diva.  Can’t win.

She tends to get out there no matter what.  Hopefully she can recover for tonight.
