I thought the NY Daily News list was odd too. Then I clicked another of their lists on that page, 10 worst idol contestants ever, or something like that; they included Jason Castro, Clay Aiken, Taylor Hicks, Katherine McPhee and Kellie Pickler. WTH? At least they also included Sanjaya and Antonella.

I haven’t been following this season of Idol very closely but the mention of someone doing Paint It Black has me intrigued. That’s my very favorite song by the Stones. Also guess I gotta watch Ke$ha on there since Adam likes her so much.

This is a little off-topic but it kind of fits in. Last weekend I took my mom to Nashville to visit relatives for a few days. I had not heard Whataya Want From Me on the radio except on Open House Party several months ago. We were driving back thru Birmingham and listening to the Top 8 at 8. Kesha was voted in at #7 with Tic Toc. All of a sudden Adam came on with WWFM at #6. Then Ke$ha was back on at #5 with Blah, Blah, Blah. I couldn’t help smiling–first hearing Adam on the countdown–then thinking about the Adam-Ke$ha sandwich.

Did anyone else find the NY Daily News Memorable Moments thing more than a little odd? Most of it was about scandal, but they misquoted Simon as saying Mike Lynch’s performance was the greatest ever on Idol, and it was the only performance in the whole list. I know he praised him and might have said it was the best of the year, but not for all years.

In Season 7 I saw sites that had dug out details of David Cook’s parents’ divorce. It is disgusting that these kids’ lives are subject to the tabloid vultures.

Yeah, I think by now you have to know that if you go on this show and there is any dirt on you at all – it’s coming out! Nothing real exciting so far, hopefully it’ll stay that way.

Well I learned last year that they will dig up anything in a contestants past. They are on the biggest show on American TV. They can’t expect to keep their private life private. The bad part is since they don’t talk to the press, they can’t address this stuff head on.

Thanks for the review of Carrie’s concert in Reading, PA. A very old friend was there and she RAVED about it. She said it was the most amazing concert she had ever been to. That’s saying a lot. This friend spends $3,000/year going to concerts.

While she mentioned all the spectacular effects and costumes, what made it the most amazing was Carrie’s voice. She said she’s never heard anyone sing so strong and perfectly from start to finish.

That is very cool that Siobhan will be doing ‘Paint It Black’. That’s the song I was hoping she’d sing. I’ll bet she knocks it out of the park. Of course I’m already anticipating Simon or someone saying ‘It’s all a bit dreary. You should have chosen something more [stock catch phrase here].
