James Durbin: It Really Does Get Better – Insider.com: How did you get involved with the STAR Alliance? James Durbin: I’ve always been a fan of WWE and pro-wrestling – when I was on Idol, I got the chance to tell the world that. Having Hulk Hogan come out and surprise me and becoming friends with Chris Jericho and The Miz, it’s really been a dream come true. Match that with my bullying experiences throughout my childhood for being different (James has Asperger’s and Tourette’s Syndrome) and , it just kind of came together. They asked if I would be interested, and I was already a huge fan of the Be A Star program, so I knew right then and there I wanted to Be A part of it. – Read more at The Insider

Why would someone from the Voice do this? There is nothing Nigel wouldn’t do to boost the ratings for this show or get publicity. The biggest reason to do it would be to attract the demographic that is fleeing this show in big numbers, which is the same age of a lot of the Rhianna and Chris Brown fans. Sure it would sicken the older fans, but at this point, what do Idol have to lose. The ratings are in a free fall and they need some help.

Nigel may be a lot of things but I don’t think he is stupid enough to promote AIs suicide by having Chris and Rhianna on the show.  No way would anyone with any kind of sense (other than the Chris Brown fanatics that think beating a girl is a sign of undying love and devotion) think this would be good for the show.  AI might always be looking to bring back the younger viewers but they aren’t going to ruin their rep by pandering to the bottom feeders.

Well Rihanna’s rep denied it (Thank God. Despite the controversial past, I can’t stand his or her music), but where is it in the e! article that someone from The Voice spread this info around? I don’t understand where you thought the source of info came from. Unless you’re joking….

I agree with every word you said, and it’s just such a joy to see how much he has grown since Idol, where he was often akward and shy off stage, he lately seems so much at ease and comfortable in the middle of a crowd of strangers and interacting with them.
