I dont think I saw this on here, if it is, sorry – but I agree with a lot of it

David Archuleta is extremely tired.

And who can blame him?

After an early-morning flight from his home in Utah to Los Angeles — where he’s calling from Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., West Coast time — the second-place winner from last season’s “American Idol” isn’t initially quite coherent enough to recall why he’s there.

Archuleta said he plans to perform “pretty much the whole album” during his show and maybe some cover tunes.

The tour is also his first true break from the “Idol” regime, and he acknowledges it will be strange not having his buds from the show to keep him company.

Archuleta said he talks to all of his former show mates almost weekly — “except Chikezie [Ezie]. I have his number, but I really haven’t talked to him.”

He and last season’s “Idol” winner, David Cook, see each other frequently when they’re paired to perform at corporate events, and Archuleta reiterates that the scruffier David is like a big brother to him.

One thing that still baffles the wholesome singer is the attention lavished on him in public. He laughs when asked if he’s gotten more comfortable with the screaming girls and crazed fans.

“I don’t know. It depends on what kind of mood you’re in. I got reminded of all the people who know who you are with all of these appearances. All these people were coming out and it was like, oh my gosh, all these people are coming out to see me?” “Why did they come out to see me? It’s just me.”

In his sleep-deprived haze, Archuleta doesn’t even realize that he answered his own question.

David Cook performed one of the songs from his unreleased 2nd album (the one he shelved because of Idol).

This is amazing. I hope the album comes out some day, I really do. Also hope he does many more unreleased songs as the tour moves on.

“Woman Gotta Have it” track eleven is the final track on the album. First sung by Bobby Womack, but in my opinion, Taylor’s voice and delivery makes this much better than the original. Hicks does an amazing collaboration with Elliott Yamin. These two soulful sounding men are amazing together and this song will be loved by both Taylor and Elliott fans and will attract new fans.

David Cook, last seasonà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s American Idol winner, kicked off his first headline tour à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“The Declaration Tour à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ 2009à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  last week in Tallahassee, FL on February 13th. Van Halenà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Hot For Teacherà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  has been performed at every date on the tour so far.

David Cookà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s self titled debut cd has been certified platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding 1 million units. Davidà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s a VH fan and he even used the EVH 5150 III head and cabinet on American Idol. Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s good to see so many young people being exposed to such a classic VH song.

Richard Rushfield was pretty dramatic today, what with all of the Angel of Death and virgin sacrifice references, LOL. I liked this statement though:

This year, however, not only are the numbers to fall later, but immediately we are destined to lose some of those who we had already let into our heart. The reasons for this as I see it are:
à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ A stronger median talent pool this year (very, very few just obviously doomed from the start candidates, although I believe last yearà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s Top 12 will forever be the gold standard)

And he’s already picked his horse this year:

And on the other side, two giants were born in Danny Gokey and Alexis Grace, the latter of whom I predict will be the next American Idol.

I’m not ready to pick until I’ve seen everyone, but Alexis was the best of last night, in my book.

Even Taylor who I’m not a fan of, hit it out of the park for his first song. That was actually my favorite Taylor performance. All the performers you posted share a charisma and artistry that I just didn’t see at all last night.

P.S. Jordin has pretty adult taste in men.

And to have a crush on Simon … yikes… the guy is fun as a judge but he is not goodlooking at all…
