Clay Aiken joins campaign vs. anti-gay Amendment One – Protect ALL NC Families, the leading organization in the campaign against Amendment One, is out with a brief video starring Clay Aiken, probably North Carolina’s most famous openly gay citizen. (Am I overlooking somebody?) He doesn’t love discrimination, and says the anti-gay Amendment One, which seeks to ban not just gay marriages but civil unions and other marriage-like contractual arrangements, could have seriously bad if unintended consequences. Like costing some kids their health insurance.

    I was never a Clay Aiken fan though he has a lovely voice, but every time I hear him speak, I like him a lot.  Nice pro equality spot.  Time is on marriage equality’s side thank goodness. I heard on CNN I think that 79% of people under 39 are in favor of letting gays marry.  Anyway it is nice to hear Clay speak out on this issue.

    Is ‘Stefano’s new website”  serious?
    a less than flattering picture, and no links to anything pertinent…just a news sign up link and posted messages…

    I clicked the youtube link and it goes to a page called “Stefano’s Channel” that was created in 2005 and has no activity since 2005.  3 Videos uploaded that don’t appear to have anything to do with Stefano….?
     
    Why put out what looks to be an incomplete site???

    Seems either a bad job of rolling it out, or some other Stefano using his likeness and name….

    I think Pia may be on to something with the fashion critique. Worked for Kelly Osborne after Dancing with the Stars.

    And a good gig too for Lauren, a lot of Idol alums have done hosting stints.  8am on Valentine’s Day isn’t prime time, but gotta start somewhere.

    While Cee Lo’s fun-sized, nubby fingers do have a distinct creep factor, Tyler’s taffy-pull facial expressions provide a never ending nightmarish venue.

    Steven is more hands on too.  That by itself lends to the “dirty old man” look.  Cee Lo stays in his big comfy chair and just oogles.

    That said, the women come on the Steven, so its often mutual, e.g. the butt tweak was the girl grabbing him.

    This seems like a significant step backward and not just for gay couples, but straight couples who aren’t married.  Very disappointing. Good for Clay for making this PSA. WTF is up with his hair though? lol

    That’s an encouraging stat, but I’ll bet that the % are different in different areas of the country.  NC seems to be very conservative about this issue and it would really suck if this passed.  I guess that they’ll find out in May.

    Love that picture of Kris and Zorro. Dare I suggest there is a slight resemblance? IMHO They both have lean, compact, well muscled bodies! YMMV. Disclaimer: I’m not suggesting Kris’s face in any way resembles his dog!!!

    When I heard that Zorro was in the Kris’s shoot, I was so worried that it would end up being cheesy, so I’m really happy that Kris tweeted that photographer’s name. She’s really good and not cheesy at all!

    I was reminded that in the Clevver interview when Kris mentioned having Zorro on the cd, he also stated that unlike with the 1st cd, he was looking forward to meeting with the photographer & discussing ideas.  So, I am sure Kris had some say in the image he wanted to project and how.

    I’m loving this photographer’s work. Hope she took some interesting shots of Kris. This girl could definitely make a shot featuring a dog look very cool. :)

    It’s funny…I didn’t know who took Allison’s photos until now. Looking through them I saw a few I hadn’t seen before.(It’s the last two photos.)Really liked them.

    Sure, but lots of people are sometimes blinded by the cuteness of their own pets and may not realize when they’ve crossed over into cheese territory, so I’m pleased that it apparently isn’t going to be cheesy, judging from the photographer’s website.

    I mean, if the album’s look were all cheesed-up, it wouldn’t stop me from buying it, but I’m not considering myself the audience for Kris’s promo – hopefully, it’s directed at people who aren’t yet his fans but who would like his music if they listened to it. And his music isn’t cheesy, so I’m glad that it looks like his album’s pictures won’t be either.

    I’m glad to see people are calming down over Zorro being included in the photo shoot for the album, etc. I’ve come to trust Kris, his vision and creativity. He continues to surprise and amaze me.

    Looking at the photographer’s portfolio and the stuff his art director has up, I think he is in good hands.

    If all the information we had on the album photo shoot was the same as what we had heard yesterday before Kris’s tweet with the photographer’s name, I would still be worrying over the potential cheese factor based on the tweets from the RCA rep and the make-up artist. So, yeah, I’m very glad that Kris clarified the matter.
