‘American Idol’ Experts Pick Lauren Alaina, Chris Medina As Early Favorites

Crystal Bowersox reflects on Nashville visit

Crystal Bowersox has spent most of this week making inroads into Nashville. She began her week Sunday with a live show broadcast on local AAA station Lightning 100, but she didn’t limit her visits to just one format. She made two visits to CMT, appearing with Cody Alan on CMT Radio and taping a performance there (I’ve been told it should go online next week). She also stopped by Top 40 station 107.5 The River.

Aerosmith’s 1998 power ballad, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” is currently #22 on Apple’s iTunes chart, and not one but two versions of Aerosmith’s 1973 hit “Dream On” are charting, at #77 and #115, respectively.

“Steven Tyler is such a character on the show, and that’s sure to boost interest in his work, ” Richard Rushfield, author of “American Idol: The Untold Story” tells FOX411 exclusively. “Just like we’ve seen in the past, when people appear on ‘Idol, ’ it gives their sales a bit of a jump. Clearly, (Tyler’s band mates) didn’t see the potential that being part of the show could have for the band in a positive way.”

Lea Michele insists she’s not so innocent — and she’s covering Cosmopolitan to prove it.

The ‘Glee’ star is featured in the upcoming issue of Cosmo, and talks in part about straddling the line between good girl and a little less “goody goody” than some might think. Still, she sounds like she’s enjoying a pretty calm life — at least when she’s not working.

On growing up:
“I never did drugs. I’m proud of that. Acting always came first.”
