The Creative Arts Emmys take place tonight in Los Angeles beginning at 7 pm PT. It won’t be telecast until Saturday, September 21st at 9:00 PM ET/PT on the FXX network, but I’ll be posting a full list of winners later!

Fresh off “American Idol,” aspiring star Janelle Arthur returns to Dollywood – Janelle Arthur played a very young Dolly Parton in the Dollywood show “Paradise Road,” which ran from 1998 to 2001. “I always thought I would follow in her footsteps,” said Arthur, 23, who placed fifth on “American Idol” earlier this year. “You get older, and you don’t know if it’s going to work. But at that age, I was full-on dreaming about everything.” This week, Arthur returns to Dollywood for a series of appearances in “The Great American Country Show.” She will perform Sept. 18 and Sept. 20-23 at the revue, which is included in park admission. “It’s pretty full-circle,” she said. – Read more at The Mountain Press

Paula Deen Makes Tearful First Public Appearance Since N-Word Scandal – Paula Deen emerged from months of self-imposed exile Saturday, making her first public appearance since admitting to having used racial slurs in the past. A Houston crowd of 1,500 gave the celebrity chef a standing ovation as she entered the Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show at the city’s Reliant Center. Deen fought back tears as she addressed the crowd, The Houston Chronicle reports. “These are tears of joy, y’all,” Deen told the audience. “I’ve said all along that the one place I’d want to make my first step back out is Texas.
