MTV’s ‘Faking It’ Pilot Debuting Early (Exclusive Video) – MTV is giving early access to the full pilot of Faking It, a half-hour comedy revolving around two best friends, Karma (Katie Stevens) and Amy (Rita Volk), who pretend to be lesbians to gain social standing. One week before the series’ official launch, the Viacom-owned network will make the premiere episode available on the MTV app for 48 hours beginning Tuesday, marking the first time a scripted MTV series has debuted early. Bradenton’s Sam Woolf talks about his close call on ‘American Idol’ – “I wasn’t really sure,” he said in a phone interview Tuesday from Los Angeles. “It was scary, man. I was just trying to stay calm and sing.” As soon as he was finished, and the usual cheers from the crowd and the screams from the girls had died down, judge Jennifer Lopez gave him the news. She, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban had unanimously agreed to use their one save of the season and let Woolf stay on the show. ‘American Idol’ McCreery brings country sound to Kuss – “It’s been pretty astonishing,” McCreery said in a deep voice that betrays his youthful 20-year-old appearance. “I had no expectations, was being me and here I am.” McCreery will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at the Clark State Performing Arts Center’s Kuss Auditorium. It’s his second recent trip to the area. Dancing With the Stars’ Tony Dovolani Upset About His Portrayal During Clash With NeNe Leakes – Tony Dovolani knows he was the villain of Disney night. The Dancing With the Stars pro hit a rough patch with NeNe Leakes after last week’s switch-up, as revealed on Monday, April 14, in a behind-the-scenes video of the partners. According to Dovolani, the tension was a combination of exhaustion and good storytelling. “Apparently I was the villain,” Dovolani told Us Weekly after the clip aired on Monday night’s telecast. “We had just both flown a red-eye to New York, we were both tired, the switch-up didn’t do us any good,” he confessed.
